Had a touch of the jealous green monster today :(

Beautiful day today, not a cloud in the sky. Perfect spring day. We had friends over for dinner last night - it was lovely, but dh and I are feeling jaded and I had rotten night with ds2 who has terrible cold/virus. Turned into bed at 1.30am - woken up by ds1 who had wet his bed at 2.15am - back to sleep to be woken up by ds2 at 3.15am (who then didnt go back to sleep until 6am ) I then slept until 11am, courtesy of dh giving me a lie in. Why, oh why, do we always burn the candle at both ends? We so rarely have friends round, but when we do look what happens!!

Anyway, shock off the jaded feel - went to a National Trust Property - ds1 moaned that it was boring (admittedly they had roped off all the fun grassy slopes that 8 year olds like to run down), ds2 (fast asleep in buggy - now he sleeps!!) and we were surrounded by loads of `perfect' famillies out with their NT 18mth darlings, walking, pointing, babbling etc. etc. Everywhere we looked!! Am I really a terrible person/jealous cow. I don't begrudge other people there healthy little darlings, but by God life sometimes seems so unfair....

Sorry to sound off, but I thought I'd get that out of my system before I went to bed

And I'm sure your little boy is gorgeous sleepyjess, to everyone not just you!!

hunkermunker · 28/03/2005 23:52

SJ, I can't bring myself to post there. Would feel like I needed to have a bath afterwards! Just been reading some of the threads and just feel dirty!

SleepyJess · 28/03/2005 23:53

Thank you Moondog.. but then sensible, decent people recognise that 'gorgeousness' is not about dribbling etc (There is a pic of him on my profile-thingy-wotsit-on here)

SleepyJess · 28/03/2005 23:56

That's ok hunker.. I don't want to be responsible for sending you into therapy! I know what you mean actually.. I kind of felt like I had really 'let myself down' when I posted again recently.. but as well as being incensed to the point of posting by Heather's crap, one of the sensible people had commented on my absense and I felt quite flattered, lol!

hunkermunker · 28/03/2005 23:57

May try again, but cannot bring myself to get drawn into discussions with a lower class of message board, iyswim

moondog · 28/03/2005 23:58

He is a dear little boy sleepyjess!!!
Is he a bit naughty and mischeivous?? Looks it!

SleepyJess · 28/03/2005 23:59

PML Heather would horrfied to hear you lumping her into a (shock! horror!) "lower class" category of any kind!! She is has a "very well paid job she can go back to at any time!" and "lots of insurance" don't you know!

hunkermunker · 29/03/2005 00:02

SJ, I've done a bad thing

SleepyJess · 29/03/2005 00:04

Moondog, he is HORROR! But a love as well.. I described him about half way up this thread

SleepyJess · 29/03/2005 00:05

Hunker.. have you sinned my child? (On my way there now!)

hunkermunker · 29/03/2005 00:05
Blush
hunkermunker · 29/03/2005 00:06

In my defence, it's not a terrible sin, but it was a bit...snidey

SleepyJess · 29/03/2005 00:07

PML!!! A new thread no less!! And all without a mention that you have suddenly breezed back in after all that time away! I wonder if you will get a hero's welcome!

Shall I give you one? Or would that look to suss.. (Not that anyone would think to lump us together I don't think.)

moondog · 29/03/2005 00:08

Gosh! Yes I read that at the time.Unbelievably lovely.
Lol at 'booting' the poor medical person as well!
You go boy!!

Right, Moondog is going to stop gushing and let you laydeez get back to your bitching

hunkermunker · 29/03/2005 00:09

Didn't think they deserved an explanation of my absence, although I'll happily say I've found another site I lurve if asked

Heck, feel free to post - no, I don't think anyone would put us together, would they? (Unless they're on here too and if that's the case, they're obviously eminently sensible!)

Was I too obvious about H though?

SleepyJess · 29/03/2005 00:12

LOL Moondog. Good on you for rising above our bitching.. . But it is a 'worthy cause'.. .. I am not known for bitching.. (sarcasm maybe, when severely provoked.. )

Hunker, want me to ressurect the 'ugly babies' for you to 'contribute' to?

SleepyJess · 29/03/2005 00:13

No you weren't obvious at all. You look as if you have been browsing. Am thinking up a politely provocative response

moondog · 29/03/2005 00:14

Oh I was only jesting! I can be foul. I want to have a go at that nutter now (I'm putting on my boxing gloves..)
Never been on that...must check it out......

Jayzmummy · 29/03/2005 00:15

hunkermunker · 29/03/2005 00:18

moondog · 29/03/2005 00:20

Moondog, it's a very long thread entitled 'Maternity Grants' which evolved into a dirt-dishing match re: people on benefits. I appear some way down the thread. I only posted when I first saw red.

Must find the 'ugly babies' thread. I would put 'bump' on it.. but a. they wouldn't understand what that meant and b, if they did they may be MOST suspcicous!! I will have to post something on it, which I have avoided doing but must being it to your attention!
