Hello everyone
SD 11/02
claim date 24/01

phoned today to request update - told decision had been made on Friday but wouldn’t tell me over the phone, advised I should wait for letter.
no pending amount in bank account.
does this suggest that it’s been rejected?
feeling totally frustrated with the whole process.

MR 13/01 and original claim sd 12/08
i have not called a single time this time, I drove myself mad last time and I won’t be calling until end of June when it reaches over the 25 week mark which I am assuming it too being they are still on November MRs. I think I always went to lower priority because my child is under 3 years, she is 14 months old and she was 5 months old when I first claimed. We got declined on her age course we did but she’s got a life long condition which she’s had since birth and has had multiple treatments at GOSH for. I’m expecting they will probably decline us again due to age and I will have to take to tribunal.
I think when they are under 3 years old it is easy for them to just throw them out.

Hjoy1975 · 02/06/2025 20:42

I really hope so, it’s driving me mad :( thank you

Im a new claim and my scan date was 17/02, I received a back pay this morning and the letter came this afternoon. He was awarded Tuesday last week and awarded for 2 years. My little boy was awarded HRC. Anyone worried about evidence, the evidence I sent was
paediatrician report that confirms he is on the pathway 2 an autism diagnosis
4 speech and language appointment letters
Occupational therapy report after having a phone call appointment with them
His melatonin prescription as evidence for sleeping.
Im delighted, I’ve put it through 2 universal credit today, does anyone know how long they take to get back 2 you?
Good luck everyone xox

That happened with my son’s claim. I first applied when he was around 8months/declined because of age
MR/ declined because of age
tribunal/ declined because of age!
i reapplied 19/06/24 whilst waiting for tribunal as my son was diagnosed with a new condition- declined again because of age!
MR (2nd claim) 20/11 and today was told with a decision maker after 27weeks and 5 days!
my son is now over 2 years old so hopefully they won’t decline because of age 😩
my son has a rare genetic disorder which leaves him high risk for skin cancer, severely sight impaired (blind), GDD and suspected ASD.
At this point I’m hoping they’ll award him what he deserves just to get rid of me 🤣
good luck with your MR, it seems harder to get awarded for young ones but I’ve seen people that have, don’t give up.

I rang Friday and they said a decision hadn’t been made yet and 2 wait on letter or payment in bank but received the payment this morning. Confusing xox

Usually takes 3 to 5 days to get payment after decision so obviously a decision was made

When we got awarded last year way before we put in for the MR depending on who the decision maker is some of them do send it through as faster payment I remember getting mine the same day and I was shocked haha x

exactly, I was confused as I was expecting it 2 take longer. the guy was a bit rude on the phone and rhymed of the same 25 week speech so I sort of took what he said with a pinch of salt and was 2 late 2 phone back up on Friday so just left it but woke up 2 money in bank this morning
