DLA WAIT TIMES THREAD 63

1000 replies

zoeybrooks45 · 22/01/2025 21:02

Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

will ring tomorrow for update - wishful thinking - and to see if it’s too late for extra evidence as my boy in touch with 3 other services since sending the forms .

MistandFog2024 · 05/02/2025 05:35

@emalea close SD to us, we’re 19/11.
Think you’ll be fine to send that evidence in, think we’re looking at end of March- early April fur a decision. Best of luck x

I’m literally crying, I meant.

Congrats 🥳 I really pleased for you

Frankadoodle · 05/02/2025 09:14

@Glitzxx I will do ! I think mine will come back with "need more information" due to not having a diagnosis yet . My little one is nearly 4 and on the autism pathway and is non verbal . I have evidence from speech and language and the autism pathway acceptance letter but other than that I haven't got much . Still waiting for the paediatrician's appointments to be given to us ! That's another long wait

Has anyone got any advice or experience with evidence to provide for HRM? I have sent so much currently appealing. School have also submitting evidence of extreme meltdowns when transition. However DLA mentioned that no 3rd party evidence for what I have detailed? Super confused any advice will be helpful! Appreciate in advance x

Hello, I’ve been lurking for a few weeks.

NC SD 30/09/24, I just received a text saying that my daughter is eligible and to wait for the letter. Anxious to know what the award is, but really pleased to be awarded something.

I have another NC for my other daughter at the end of October, so the wait continues.
