Woke up to a call 2hours ago to say DD is in hospital her friend rang an ambulance. Stuck here till I can get hold of DH who is out delivering to go to her. she took all her amytriptaline.

The hospital said they are still waiting for her to wake up and she is hooked up to monitors at the moment. Her friend said she didnt want to go to hospital and said DD said she will make a better job of it when she gets out. She drank and hasnt had any alchohol for nearly a year, someone stole her iphone and she was very upset about it. First time she went out with her friends, only to a house for a sleepover but its all gone wrong at least they had sense to get her to hospital.

Still no appointment for eating disorder clinic, and still no dates for further scans on her brain. Please god can we have sunshine instead of all this rain :(

Your DD is very very lucky to have such a wonderful mother. You've been in my thoughts - well done on getting the help kick-started. You've been amazing.

Well done, Coff33. i can't believe the drip of a young psych would have been happy to let her go home with no support.

moosemama · 29/08/2012 10:28

Coff you are bloody amazing. Your dcs are very very lucky to have you.

Honking for you and hoping that dd's care plan provides her with the support she needs to overcome all the horrible things that have happened to her. I'm sure she'll get there - she comes from strong stock after all.

Sending lots of love and light.

Brilliant news Coff.
Lets hope that this gets the ball rolling in the right direction for your DD to get the support she needs - and for you to get a break from all the worry.

I'm so glad that your daughter pulled through this ordeal. Well done for staying strong and insisting on the help that your daughter needs. I hope that this time the 'professionals' do a thorough and professional job.

NoHaudinMaWheest · 29/08/2012 12:54

Great that you had the strength to insist on proper follow up. Must have been totally exhausting for you. Hope the home visit today is useful. Thinking of you all.

Thanks for wishes all :) Been busy with sorting out the LA as DS amended statement not been amended and he is due to start big school next Tues. No rest for the wicked lol.

Unfortunately the home visit did not materialise.......not even the promised phone call, however a letter arrived and she has an emergency appointment next Tues for full mental health assessment so that is a start and I will see what transpires from that. She has a form of questions on feelings ie what does she feel like, what does she feel is causing her to feel like this, what can she see can be done etc to fill in and ironicly next tues will be 12 months to the day it happened so its going to be a hard one.

DD is ok at present, mainly vegetated in her bedroom with middle DD and has found the art of colouring in mosaic colouring books helping her to focus on not getting anxious and keeping her hands busy, its a bit like she is shattered herself but her body will not keep still or want to sleep. She went to work yesterday but was overdone by the evening and I went in today so she could chill at home.

It wasnt me who was amazing it was you guys I pictured behind me :) I had images of zzzzz with a flock of geese, star with her little girl doing a serious handbag swing with her favourite hand bag, and the rest of you dressed up something like out of the Blues Brothers Grin Everytime I was thinking of backing down I shut my eyes and pictured this image and thought I am really going to be in the S* to a serious high level if I give up :)

Demanding the help wasnt the hardest part it was having to repeat that I wouldnt take my DD home to get the help that was like a knife twist in the gut. But sometimes desparate measures we have to take :) At the moment all is calm and quiet in the coffee household so that is a nice feeling!
