My DD has overdosed :(

Woke up to a call 2hours ago to say DD is in hospital her friend rang an ambulance. Stuck here till I can get hold of DH who is out delivering to go to her. she took all her amytriptaline.

The hospital said they are still waiting for her to wake up and she is hooked up to monitors at the moment. Her friend said she didnt want to go to hospital and said DD said she will make a better job of it when she gets out. She drank and hasnt had any alchohol for nearly a year, someone stole her iphone and she was very upset about it. First time she went out with her friends, only to a house for a sleepover but its all gone wrong at least they had sense to get her to hospital.

Still no appointment for eating disorder clinic, and still no dates for further scans on her brain. Please god can we have sunshine instead of all this rain :(

and this might be the golden opportunity to get some sensible answers about the dodgy brain MRI and the funny heart trace,

emphasise the weight loss too and you'll possibly get a dietician opinion on the ward (dieticians are like gold dust in the outside world but quite a lot of them within hospital)

cos psychiatry will be in no hurry to take over the complicated medical case unless everything is sorted,

and the medical team will be only too keen to tie up various medical loose ends so they can get their bed back, and transfer dd to the psychiatrists.

Hoping that she's awake shortly and there's a silver lining in terms of much faster answers and much better ongoing care now

Oh no this is so terrible for you!
Stay strong for your Dd she must be feeling so very sad.
I really hope you get some proper support and that sunshine is just round the corner.

I'm just back from weekend and so sorry to read this. I hope they can come to bottom of it all and she recovers quickly x

If there's anything anyone can do, just say coff! You're a long term enough poster for us to know that you're real and I've been overwhelmed by offers of help when I've needed a helping hand.

She has come round 20 mins ago and I never thought "f,,,, off and don't touch me" would sound so sweet to my ears :) oh I am real star just wish I wasn't iyswiim xx next battle begins waiting for psych team seeing them separate to dd who told them she fine and wants out.

what a relief that she has come round now. So sorry you're all going through this struggle. Hope they will get her the help she needs now... it's so frustrating when you've been telling them she needs it all along...
