Opening early as I have a few bits to do tonight.

As you all know I had a crappy week.. But ds came home from his sweetyrun ( with ds1) lastnight and he had bought me a twix.. To cheer me up :)

He's such a darling and I love him to bits ( even without the twix lol).

I'll hand over now and pop in when I get the time :)

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 05/11/2010 14:49

well my day has been rubbish as i sat on a dodgy chair in cafe, waved to my friend, and toppled over, shoulders and back are killing and it was embarrassing Blush

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 05/11/2010 14:50

passes wine to fanjo

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 05/11/2010 14:58

thanks, wine is a great anaesthetic Grin

Typically DD had a nap at nursery so isn't having one here at home and is wrecking the place.

StarkAndWitchesWillFindYou · 05/11/2010 15:12

DS's behaviour has got more challenging. I'm going to lose yet another weekend to preparing documents/evidence/arguements for forthcoming multi-agency meeting.

But, I'll have tonight off and drink wine

Hi all - I've have a large one!

Triggles · 05/11/2010 15:50

Would love a glass of wine, but DH & I agreed no alcohol until Christmas (making a stab at being at least a little healthy! although I notice we haven't stopped chocolate Grin). Such a shame!

After DS2 fell at school yesterday and got a huge bump and scraped raw area on his forehead, he now looks like he went 30 rounds with a prizefighter (or perhaps like he is a Star Trek movie extra). His nose is swollen as well now and both his eyes are black. So as we're doing the school run, we're getting horrified and odd looks all around. Blush

It's rainy and I'm tired. DS3 is cranky and so is DH. sigh.. gonna be a long evening...

Ineed2 · 05/11/2010 15:54

We've had quite a good week got OT appointment for 16th NovemberShock and they are coming to the house instead of going to school.Smile.

Dd3 is not very happy tonight because she doesn't like fireworks and is stressing that there will be lots tonight.Sad
Have said we will watch a film after tea so she can stay on the settee and go to bed late.

Triggles · 05/11/2010 15:59

oh god i forgot about the fireworks...., DS2 will want to sleep in his ear defenders....argh

CognitiveDissident · 05/11/2010 16:11

DH drank all the wine last night

I'm tempted to return the favour and steal his last beer from the fridge

In my defence, its Fireworks Night/Diwali and we live between 2 schools and a park.
I wish we had a cellar

DS is so excited and looking forward to it (thanks a bunch school), but I know that once the bangs start there'll be tears

And there are even more planned for tomorrow Angry

I hate the noise of fireworks, I'm going to have a miserable couple of nights :( BUT, I have some squashy health and safety ear plugs which should hopefully help!

Oh, and I nearly cried today as I thought the ice hockey club were going to ban me taking my camera in to photograph cos it has interchangeable lenses, but I have it on authority from my lovely lecturer/friend/also happens to be a club photographer, that my camera is NOT professional, therefore I can still do it, because the lens is only small compared to a pro lens, which cost about £5000 and mine cost £120 :) That, and I have no intention of selling the photos on.

ouryve · 05/11/2010 16:19

No wine, but we have vodka :o

I'll leave off it for a few hours, mind. DS1 is just coming down from the bonfire disco they had at school. Had a horrible morning with him all anxious about it, but he's stuffed his face with brightly coloured sweets and actually seems quite chilled as a result.

DD is having the best time of her life playing with a really tacky Iggle Piggle biscuit I bought her, with blue icing etc, she loves it, has cheered up my day!

TheArsenicCupCake · 05/11/2010 16:46

:) my week has just cheered up a bit .. Ds came out of school really pleased with himself because .. Wait for it....
.
.
. One of his peers united him to go to the lunchtime youth club... And although it was noisy and busy... He loved it and people there included him!
( I actually had a little tear when he told me)..

And school are being totally ace.. Have put even more help in for him..

( just gotta see how the weekend goes at his dads.. Ds1 who is also there has been told to txt me if there are any issues so I can pick them up).

Is it quite bad that I'm considering wearing my ear plugs to bed AND over ear headphones, just in case the plugs turn out to be total rubbish?

Please come and tell me that's not weird, I'm the only person I know with this rotten fireworks phobia and it is SO annoying!

Goblinchild · 05/11/2010 16:58

Good news here, my Aspie is out being a Bonfire Marshall with explorer scouts. So that's lots of making people keep to the rules, organising traffic and a front seat when the fireworks begin.
Win Win in his eyes. Smile
And he doesn't want his mum, but he's got his phone Just In Case.

However, we do have a weekend of GCSE English looming...
