Opening early as I have a few bits to do tonight.

As you all know I had a crappy week.. But ds came home from his sweetyrun ( with ds1) lastnight and he had bought me a twix.. To cheer me up :)

He's such a darling and I love him to bits ( even without the twix lol).

I'll hand over now and pop in when I get the time :)

OMG I did the IQ test.. Bloody dh beat me... I am thick!

I missed loads of questions because I could read the flipping questions fast enough (am dyslexic).. And LP loads of that was silly fast visual stuff !

WetAugust Im resisting posting on the other thread but am tempted to vent.

I agree with Arsenic post...surely your a bit tiddly by now so be brave! Were all very nice! Grin

Lougle · 05/11/2010 22:11

Lollipop, I have just looked at that test, and without being rude, it relies an awful lot on visual interpretations. With your visual impairment, I am surprised you scored 70, to be honest.

LollipopViolet · 05/11/2010 22:15

Yeah, I need to find one that doesn't have a time limit on the questions! A lot of them I had to guess because time was running out and I hadn't read it all and looked at all the pictures!

BBC needs a nice friendly one for those of us with sight on the poorer side!

WetAugust · 05/11/2010 22:18

Ok - I've given up on Robot Wars.

5inthebed · 05/11/2010 22:21

Well I managed to get out pretty much unscathed. DS2 wasn't as bad as anticipated, think he mentally tired himself out wathing the fire works next door. Dh said he crashed out in bed and declined a DVD Shock

Hate shopping on a Friday night, full of drunken students.

woolytree · 05/11/2010 22:23

I wish i was a drunken student! Grin

TheArsenicCupCake · 05/11/2010 22:28

gawd.. Those were the days being a drunken student

well I scored 87 :( on that test but ... Have had IQ tested properly ( to see why I was thick at college lol).. And I scored in the 130's sooooo .. Am I allowed to keep that score instead? ( btw they found out I couldn't read or write... Rather than me being thick :) < bonus!>

I just posted on the other thread and was a tad bossy [ blush] ... no harm intended :)

I am afraid if I start posting I'll never stop...

We only watched fireworks from the window, well DS2 and I did, DS1 was not interested. Poor DP is up for work at 4.30am and will probably be kept awake by fireworks all night, even with earplugs.
I'm going to do the IQ test when not under the influence of wine!

woolytree · 05/11/2010 22:36

Im getting tempted to do the test now...under the influence of wine so I can discount my score! Grin

Just checked DD finally asleep...earmuffs still on and flash light. :)

signandsay · 05/11/2010 22:42

back from out, chinese meal with old church mid week group, a real hoot, (and I love fireworks, absolutely love them, keep intending to go to the national fireworks championships, held I think somewhere on Coast, deveon dorset etc)
I guess it takes all sorts eh?
Wink

ouryve · 05/11/2010 22:44

Legolady - we don't have any houseplants, except the odd pot of herbs on the kitchen windowsill. I'm sure you can guess why.

Lougle, hope your DD is OK. We had the afp test for DS2 when he was diagnosed with his hypotonia/hypermobility, last year and were told it should have happened much sooner, given that he didn't walk until 20+ months.

And this vodka has my head nicely fuzzy. Have put my knitting away for safety's sake and won't be going near any IQ tests, even if I did spend a year as an underwhelmed member of Mensa.

woolytree · 05/11/2010 23:03

Has everyone gone to bed?

LegoLady95 · 05/11/2010 23:04

I did think about covering up the soil with some decorative stones, but he'd just get them out and line them up.
At least he didn't eat the soil this time. I wonder if I fill the pot with vegetables he will eat them?

woolytree · 05/11/2010 23:07

Just cover the soil in clingfilm and put edible thing or toys round it! :)

LegoLady95 · 05/11/2010 23:13

Liquorice Allsorts might look cool!

woolytree · 05/11/2010 23:14

jellybeans...but you may want to discourage attention paid to the plant so just the clingfilm????

LegoLady95 · 05/11/2010 23:16

Haha I always get carried away. Clingfilm I will try!

ouryve · 05/11/2010 23:35

I did the test after all. Only got 105. Barely had chance to even see all of some of the questions before deciding, so no wonder lollipop struggled.

woolytree · 06/11/2010 00:05

Im having a G&T night cap then off to bed...night all! :)

Lougle · 06/11/2010 07:21

ouryve that's interesting. DD was almost 23 months when she walked.

fightingthezombies · 06/11/2010 18:57

purplepidgin - thanks for advice about theme park fast-tracking. I took ds's proposed statement along and said we are still awaiting dx and got the disabilty wristband! Dh and I both agreed we couldn't have managed without it so thanks for the good advice.

purplepidjin · 06/11/2010 19:54

My pleasure. We took half a dozen students from a residential school I worked at to Thorpe Park once. It was an absolute bloody nightmare, even with packed lunches and no queues! Doesn't help that it's really really not my thing anyway lol. (FYI, I had a wonderful time with them doing high ropes, abseiling etc on one of the other days)
