Welcome Northern

I've had a great few days, no cheating and feel I'm definitely in control again.

Wish the weather was warmer, so cold here today.

Hi All, can I join too? Just signed up to so SW online. Feeling determined but I have at least 3.5 stone to shift. I'm finding the online stuff quite confusing but I'm sure i will get the hang of it.

Thank you @Groovee looks like very healthy choices.😃 I’m looking forward to getting stuck in today. Scrambled egg and mushrooms on toast for me to start with. Have a good day everyone

@OwlinaTree I had a huge dinner to prevent me hitting the buffet. But it all looked fab.

Good luck everyone. I'm off to a burlesque class for the first time since I hurt my back. Looking forward to it x

How did the burlesque go Groovee?

B scrambled eggs, apple and satsuma.

We had an hour's walk with the kids (so quite slow!) at a national trust, then lunch, jacket with beans and a coffee

Snack, pear, satsuma, shreddies, yoghurt, apple, cup of tea.

Tea will be SW sausage casserole with cabbage and mash, probably about 4 syns?

Hello, another newbie here! Went to my first class last week and was enthused. Having followed the plan more or less for the past few days there's a few things I find confusing and i wanna understand it better .. when they say you can eat as much as you like of free foods, that's not strictly true is it? Surely you have to stop somewhere? Also, I've found some of their recipes look v dry - is part of the secret of success that stuff isn't adorned with sauces and dressings therefore you don't wanna eat so much!? Forgive the questions but i really want it to work and give me better habits for life... not just whilst losing weight.

OwlinaTree · 28/04/2019 22:43

Welcome belle. You can eat as much as you like of free foods, but you should fill a third of your plate with speed foods (most fruit and veg) to stop you over eating the other stuff.

Report
OwlinaTree · 28/04/2019 22:44

I've not particularly noticed recipes being dry tbh. Sometimes sauces seem to come out quite thin.

Hello,

I'm going to be joining SW tomorrow. I joined when I was 17 (and lost nearly 3 stone) but when my mum left, I didn't want to go on my own Blush now I'm 20, I obviously don't mind as much Grin so we are both going to a group tomorrow.

I had my gallbladder removed in January, under a bariatric surgeon/hospital; they told me that they think weight loss surgery is probably my only option... they were worried about my weight at my age and the rate I was gaining Sad I'm really worried about my health.

I'm going to give it a really good go! I don't want weight loss surgery. I'm really excited to be joining Halo

@OwlinaTree thanks for your replies. I need to try out some more recipes I think and find some favourites for the whole family :-) I have heard others say some sauces are a bit watery too

Well I've done 5 sp days this week. Had sat & sun as EE as I was feeling bloated. Weight day tomorrow I need 5.5lb to get to target. I hope I get 2 or more tomorrow but I guess any loss is good.

Report
strangerthongs · 29/04/2019 15:55

did I post already? Can't remember lol

I lost 0.5lbs which is good considering it was easter.

I'm impatient to get to the 4 stone mark though. Just 4lbs to go.

Welcome @RenaissenceBelle. I have always been told to eat until I am full. Not to stuff myself. I have lots of various meals and they aren't really dry. Cheeseburger pasta is a huge favourite. You can find it on slimming eats blog.

@ALemonyPea it didn't. I was too anxious. So I've had bloods done instead.

Good luck @AnnieDianaLulu

Well done @strangerthongs

Good luck @FiveNightsAtMummys Target is always the hardest hurdle.

I’m restarting tomorrow and I really need to stick with it. I ended up in hospital last night with chest pains and it’s given me a huge wake up call

Can anyone explain the SP and the EE plan bit? I’m just doing this online so don’t have anyone at a meeting to ask.

Report
FiveNightsAtMummys · 30/04/2019 09:40

Mummy on the move. EE is just the normal plan. SP is suppose to help boost weight loss. Same healthy extras as normal but you can only have up to 10 syns and you can only have things with a S symbol and P symbol and your suppose to have half a plate of each. No normal free foods. 0% Greek yog and quark is allowed. Not sure about other yogurts. You also cant syn foods with a free food allowance either. There should be some info online if you search for SP under features.

Hello can I join the thread and get some advice pleas. I’ve just started SW online but I can’t find info on dairy free options that aren’t soy based (allergic to soya too). I usually have a plain coconut milk yoghurt with added calcium and vitamins but I’m not sure if I can count it as part of the healthy extras. Does anyone know?
