Lost 1lb. Tried really hard to maintain, but I'm doing 30-1hr exercise everyday I think I need to eat more. 7lb under target (4lb out of target). Don't want to lower target again I've changed it 3 times already.

Kahlua4me · 17/09/2019 20:16

Pinkiepromisex, free food is good but are you eating it all because you are hungry or because the food is free?

Our consultant was explaining this today and said that whilst free foods are good and they are always free, you should only eat for your appetite and not just because you can. Eating beyond your appetite could mean you don’t lose the weight you are expecting too. Does that make sense?

Pinkiepromisex · 17/09/2019 22:38

Kahluh I think it’s a bit of both. I am going to try and stick to meals this week and not do as much snacking. When people have been adding their meal plans they look very little compared to what I can pack away and still be in my limits on paper. Oh dear...well weigh in tomorrow and then a more considered week! Halo

TheGirlWhoLived · 17/09/2019 23:13

I think as well with the free food it stops you getting over-hungry and wolfing down entire packets of cereal bars or something!

My headache finally went away after a dark chocolate kit kat and a couple of ibuprofen! I think my body is so conditioned to having a glass of wine and lots of white bread etc that it’s a massive sugar withdrawal.

Hellofresh was delicious, had 12.5g panko crumbs in the burger and HExA parmesan.... yum! Is it definitely still 2 hex A? It doesn’t mention it on the slimming world website so wondering if they’ve already scrapped it!

Bumbags · 18/09/2019 23:00

B....Linda McCartney sausages, beans, egg

L....none

Grapes, 2 tangerine

D....2 fish cakes (4) rice and spinach

40g cereal and blueberries

Sunflower101 · 19/09/2019 06:18

Bumbags - which fish cakes do you buy, do they have syns? I hadn’t realised fish cakes were ok on the plan so , if they are, that’s a bonus for me! Also, which Linda McCartney sausages do you buy? I usually buy the heck chicken ones but looking for a veggie one as I really don’t like the quorn ones.
Have a good day everyone, I have a very busy day at work....

Bumbags · 19/09/2019 08:29

@Sunflower101

Morrison’s fish cakes. They are amazing and only 2 syns each. They have a melted cheese middle.
If you google them, you will find them but get the right ones.

Vegetarian sausages.....Linda McCartney are the rosemary and red onion and are free. Really tasty too.

Pinkiepromisex · 19/09/2019 15:31

Hi, I lost a pound at weigh in on Wednesday then went a bit off track last night. Back on it now though. I am not a fish lover unless covered in batter which is a shame. Going to get some of the Linda McCartney sausages to try. Hope everyone is having a good day.

Groovee · 20/09/2019 08:24

I've not posted in a while but it's 18 months since I hit target. Had a very unexpected gain this week. It took me out of target. But am now poorly so think it was my body working up to me being ill. Hopefully I can get 8lbs off in 11 weeks.

I’m being angelic this week.

B....poached eggs, smoked salmon, spinach on HEB toast

edgen2019 · 20/09/2019 16:30

Hope you feel better soon Groovee. I went to SW today and my weight was 1lb under target, also allowing for the 3lb leeway, so in effect before my next weigh in I have to gain 1lb or start paying. Hope that all makes sense, still trying to get my head round it.

Rocaille · 21/09/2019 10:42

Hello everyone and congrats on your weightloss to date, mind if I join in?

I joined Slimming World a few weeks ago, felt really enthusiastic about it to begin with, but three weeks in am starting to feel my motivation trickle away...

Need to get back on it! I really, really want to shift the weight.

Sunflower101 · 21/09/2019 11:45

Welcome Rocaille, you have come to the right place!
How much have you lost in the last few weeks? Remind yourself how well you have done in that time. I’ve only been doing sw a couple of weeks, but I am a returner and know a little about this.
Plan as much as you can, plan for the blips eg. have the right food in the house and keep busy to keep your mind off food! Easier said than done though! Also, try a new recipe, or if you are not a cook, try one of the sw meals from Iceland?

Rocaille · 21/09/2019 15:59

Thanks, Sunflower, for the warm welcome and the tips. I've lost seven pounds so far.

Trying some new recipes sounds like a good idea. DH has been on a work trip over the last week, so I haven't bothered much with cooking proper meals.

edgen2019 · 21/09/2019 17:00

Welcome Rocaille, I think to keep focussed its best to plan your meals for the week if you can. Then you know exactly where you at. You have already lost 7 pounds, fantastic start, you can do it and I wish you well.

Rocaille · 21/09/2019 17:35

Thanks, edgen. Smile

Wow - looks as though you're doing really well, Collison. I'm shovelling down way, way more food than what you're having... Blush

Do you think your appetite has reduced since you've been on SW?

BeyondAvoidant · 23/09/2019 19:26

Had a bit of an off piste weekend, but a positively golden day today. Weigh in is in the morning... 😬

istheresomethingwrongwithme · 23/09/2019 19:49

Hi everyone, please could I join your thread?!

This is my third time doing Slimming World. I lost 3 stone in 2016 for my wedding. Then I went back after having DS1 and lost 2.5 stone and I'm back again after having DS2 in April. I actually rejoined in June and have lost 2 stone, but I seem to have hit a wall and haven't done much for several weeks now.

DS1 is now in playgroup 2 mornings a week which frees me up a bit. I was going to an evening group but I've found it quite uninspiring so I haven't been staying and I think that's my problem. I plan to join a new group on a Thursday morning, starting this week. I really want to get this last stone off before Christmas.

Hopefully this thread will also give me the kick up the backside I need!

Collision · 23/09/2019 22:47

@Rocaille actually I don’t think I’m eating enough so I’m upping the speed food and drinking more water this week.

I did get my half stone award though. 😀😀😀

Collision · 24/09/2019 13:02

Promise roll HEB
Bacon medallions
Egg
Tomato

Sunflower101 · 24/09/2019 14:06

1.5 lb loss for me this week, I’m ok with this, but not over the moon. I was hoping for greater losses in these early weeks but will keep going. I’m hoping for a 2.5 lb loss next week so I get my 7 lb loss sticker. I made carrot and coriander soup for lunch today, it’s the recipe from sw website and I put a spoon of quark and snipped coriander on top as the recipe suggested which made it taste so great. I can recommend the soup. Just the ting for such a dreary wet day plus my daughter is home today with a tummy bug so won’t be going far.
