Sandwiches - don't despair, we have all been there, keep focussed on your goal. I have lost three and a half stone in one year (despite having had a Mum and Grandma who were generously built) and now on maintenance and believe me this is the hardest part. Don't worry about the age thing either, don't fight it, embrace it! I wish you well.

Groovee · 30/07/2019 17:29

-1.5lb off, back in target

FiveNightsAtMummys · 30/07/2019 18:09

Post holiday weigh in and I've LOST 0.5lb!! I ate rubbish for 6 days I'm not sure how this happened! I was back on plan 3 full days before weigh in, drank loads, ate lots of speed foods so my calories fell around 1200 but still I'm shocked!. So now I'm 7.5lb under target! Going to possibly change it next week if I loose again.

sandwiches77 · 30/07/2019 21:15

edgen2019 thank you Flowers very much appreciated

Groovee · 30/07/2019 21:37

@sandwiches77 you can do it. I find that the first week or three are daunting but once you get into the swing of it, you find you do it without thinking.

Keep posting here if you need help x

FiveNightsAtMummys · 31/07/2019 11:07

I couldn't stay to group this week.

Lubilu28 · 31/07/2019 21:00

Joining in!...

I haven’t rejoined SW as of yet at I’m only 2 weeks postpartum, but I need to get back into things before it gets any worse. Plus I’m feeling rather good better than expected so why not?

I’m keeping a diary of everything I eat and hopefully will get a decent amount shifted before I join back. 2 1/2 st to lose to get me back to pre preg weight and another stone on top to get me to target 🙌

I CAN DO THIS!!!

OpenYourEyes · 03/08/2019 12:44

Hi everyone, I rejoined slimming world last week so just had first weigh in.... 3.5lb loss which is ok for a first week loss but my OH lost 8lb so I am mega jealous!

Its his birthday this week so will definitely be having birthday cake. Just hoping I can still manage a loss if I go minimal syns the rest of the week.

Groovee · 05/08/2019 13:32

Taster this week... making stovies from heck sausages and then fruit kebabs

Mrsgandy · 05/08/2019 21:15

@sandwiches77 I joined SW too as I was knocking on the 50 door ( passed through it now ) . I have more or less kept to plan and so far 20lbs off . Ideally another 20 to go but realistically I be happy with another 12 or so .

I'm hungry this eve just has some crispbreads cheese grapes and ham . I don't think I ate enough today .

12 weeks in and I am finding it a bit harder to be motivated but so determined to get there . I'm amazed at all of you at target or under . Well done

FiveNightsAtMummys · 06/08/2019 14:31

Lost 2.5lb changed my target to 9st7 but I'm 9st4. Maintaining is hard! Going to give it my all because I dont want to loose anymore now

Groovee · 06/08/2019 22:20

Lost half a pound and taster was good. My consultant got engaged so one of the guys brought Prosecco 😂

OP posts:
YorkshireGoldFanClub · 07/08/2019 10:02

First taster tonight - any suggestions of what to take? I dont really make any specific SW recipes, I just make my usual stuff but with no oil so its a bit lack lustre!

Ofpalestsilver · 07/08/2019 11:10

Can I join this support thread as well?

@OpenYourEyes - 3.5lb is excellent. I haven't lost more than 3lb in any week I've gone but it's all been going downwards (so far, not sure about this week!) Slow and steady is the best way to keep it off as it's realistic so feel positive. You're doing awesome!

What's a taster? I don't think we've done one in my group yet but I haven't stayed for meetings recently cos I've had work.

Groovee · 07/08/2019 14:17

I made these for taster last night.

Taster is when you bring something to share with the rest of the group which is free or low syns. Puddings always go down well in our group.

We actually had Prosecco last night at 2 syns a glass.

First week back on it and lost 4lbs 🙌

I had a bit of a fall Sunday night when the tiredness from the new baby kicked in and I found the chocolate biscuits 🙈

Going to try and have a clean week this week.

Anyone have any lunch ideas? Before I get bored of salad lol xx

JaceLancs · 08/08/2019 23:12

I lost 1 this week
Always a slow loser
Lunch ideas
Frittata, crustless quiche, jacket sweet potato, soup, egg or tuna mayo with crudités
Hummus with same
Home made pasta, rice or cous cous salad

sandwiches77 · 10/08/2019 08:43

Feeling fed up, second week in. Followed plan, lost 2.5lb.. weighed in today and put that back on 😠 back to square one

OpenYourEyes · 10/08/2019 12:48

Weigh in this morning and lost 4.5lb, I was only expecting 2 so I was pleasantly suprised! Second week on plan and 8lb loss so far.

We have taster next week so going to look for a potato salad recipe using quark maybe?

Callmesausage · 12/08/2019 21:33

Hello, can I join too?

Going to join SW on Wednesday, very much looking forward to getting on the healthy eating bandwagon and staying on it! I’ve masses to lose and desperately need to do something.

I’ve tried SW years ago and lost a couple of stone then just couldn’t get back into it and didn’t like the class leader very much. Tried Orlistat and lost over 100 lbs but don’t want to be so restricted again so, though it was successful, I don’t want to go down that route as it clearly wasn’t sustainable for me. What I need is something I can stick to forever and that works with family meals etc

One thing that I’m concerned about is the syns. I’m very much an all or nothing person and I think if I use syns it will feel like cheating. This is where I need to change my mindset so if you have any advice would much appreciate it.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 13/08/2019 20:44

Lost 1lb, out of target again. Won woman of the year tho!

Callmesausage · 14/08/2019 13:14

FiveNights - woman of the year is brilliant, we’ll done

FiveNightsAtMummys · 14/08/2019 18:38

Thank you!! Still can't believe it
