Groovee I’m so sorry that sounds exceptionally stressful Flowers

Groovee · 30/06/2019 09:58

Thanks everyone. I'm slowly getting there. I've started looking at new avenues.

@strangerthongs pinchofnom.com/sticking-to-plan-on-holiday-slimming-world/

I tend to enjoy myself on holiday. Ok I can gain lots of weight but back home and food optimising again soon has it off. I know my last AI holiday it was my alcohol as I never drink at home. But my food was pretty on plan and as it's a lifestyle change I have made in the last 2 and a half years has really changed the way I look at my food.

Groovee - so sorry that has happened to you, that's an awful way to treat someone. Hope something good comes of it with a fresh start somewhere else.

ExpletiveDelighted · 30/06/2019 10:19

Apparently we're not posting enough Shock

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/slimming_world/3617242-We-re-thinking-about-merging-this-section-what-do-you-think

If anyone has an opinion about getting rid of the SW section on MN and just having general weight loss threads, go and post!

strangerthongs · 30/06/2019 11:04

thanks groovee, sorry to hear about your work problems. That doesn't sound right.

Have you tried appealing via your union or HR? How long were you there for?

I'm having a shitty work situation myself ((hugs))

Pinkarsedfly · 01/07/2019 17:24

3lbs off this week. That’s better.

Groovee · 01/07/2019 21:29

Well done @Pinkarsedfly

@strangerthongs at the moment I think I need a complete break. The head is marking her territory imo and I was the first see ya one and one person in school has been moved completely from where they've been well known. I'd rather leave knowing I made a difference and that the staff will miss me.

I'm still on the supply list so can pick up work and have put the word out that I am available.

YorkshireGoldFanClub · 02/07/2019 11:12

Well done @Pinkarsedfly, what would you say is your average Syn count last week? Anything off plan at all or did you follow to the letter?

Pinkarsedfly · 02/07/2019 12:00

Hi Yorkshire it really varied. PMS week so some days I got to 13.5, one day was 0, one day I didn’t count as I went out for the afternoon and was drinking alcohol-free beer which I couldn’t find a syn value for - I guesstimated at about 5 per bottle though.

Groovee · 02/07/2019 15:56

Taster tonight. Have made 2 chubby cubs lentil Dahl.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 02/07/2019 19:47

I made samosas for taster today. Lost 1.5lb..no idea how I've had all sorts! Now in my grace week again!! I've got 2 days off plan this week for a 30th so least I can relax. Can't believe I'm almost 1st under my original target (changed my target again 2 weeks ago). Really struggling to maintain! Never thought I'd struggle with that!

Groovee · 02/07/2019 21:05

@FiveNightsAtMummys it took me 6 months to work out how to maintain. Look at using savvy syns more. I found that worked.

Lost 1.5lbs. Won diamond target member of the year and am 1lb under target for my holiday. After my crap week it really cheered me up.

Taster was really good and well attended this week which was good.

Well done to all those at maintenance. Wonder will I ever get there .
I’m down 15lb now over 7 weeks . Really pleased to have stuck it out .
Feel so much better and I have noticed my daughter has started to take some interest quietly which I’m thrilled about . She is eating very healthy and is making porridge every morning. We have a huge late lunch early dinner combined now and then snack in evening. That tends to be my cheese allowance, ham , fruit , Muller light and my mini bar if I haven’t crumbled during the day for it .
I had fajitas for dinner yesterday and counted the wrap at 9.5 syns but it was so worth it . Packed it with speed and protein .

Mrsgandy · 05/07/2019 13:08

@Groovee
Diamond 💎. Well done 👍

ExpletiveDelighted · 05/07/2019 13:17

I didn't make it to group this week, real life got in the way, we had taster week too, do they do it across the whole country at the same time or is it coincidence?

Anyway, according to the home scales I am 0.5lb down this week. I'm taking it slowly as I have in the past gone for quick losses and rebounded.

YorkshireGoldFanClub · 08/07/2019 10:25

1.5 off at my last weigh in on wednesday, pleased as it was my TOTM and i ha fallen off the wagon a little the weekend before. Vowed to stay 100% on plan but this weekend AGAIN self sabotaged, it almost better for me to be out and about than in the house.

At least I went for a run. Going to try SP this week as its the run up to my birthday next weekend and also to try and make up for poor weekend choices.

ListenLinda · 08/07/2019 20:13

Hi everyone, Hope you don’t mind me gate crashing.

I rejoined today, weighing in at the heaviest I have ever been. Gutted, embarrassed, ashamed.

Came home and finished my pot of greek style coconut yog from aldi, felt motivated and have done my food plan for the week!

Tea was two small jackets with left over SW chilli, and half a plate of salad. Low fat salad cream 😍

Pinkarsedfly · 08/07/2019 20:39

1lb off. I expected that as I fell off the wagon a bit on Friday.

Still, I got my 1/2 stone award! Slowly but surely, it’s coming off.

@pinkarsedfly hoping for the same result tomorrow - well done and wish me luck!

Pinkarsedfly · 09/07/2019 23:38

Good luck, Yorkshiregold!

FiveNightsAtMummys · 10/07/2019 23:12

Went out for friends birthday we had breakfast, lunch and cake away all off plan. The next day we had afternoon tea, lindt chocolates, cocktails and I had tea and snacks off plan. Thought I'd def get a gain or maintain at best (I needed to gain 1.5lb anyway to get back in target). Had 2 days before weigh in so thought I've massively gone over I'll log my calories, go back to normal sw plan and keep calories low (2 days at around 1100 ish) Ended up loosing 2lb! Got my 5st award but out of target again! Only just changed it 3 weeks ago but will need to put on 3.5lb to get to bottom end. Going away in just over a week so least I've plenty of room for a big gain. When I was losing it was so hard to loose (or it felt like it) it seems a bit of a joke how I'm eating more healthy extras and way more syns and loosing. Altho I don't have many carbs apart from a couple of heb choices.

Groovee · 11/07/2019 15:34

@FiveNightsAtMummys I would look at adding more B choices, use nuts and dried fruit options.

Interestingly I lose when I have more off plan stuff. It's like it helps my weight loss 🤷🏻‍♀️

OP posts:
FiveNightsAtMummys · 11/07/2019 20:44

Thanks @Groove I've actually been having lots of prunes and dates trying to have at least 4 healthy extras a day

Groovee · 11/07/2019 21:46

Are you having savvy syns too? Like oil/olives/avocado? I found hat helped stable my maintenance.
