-2lb today for me after STS last week, so I was pleased with that.

Mrsgandy · 19/06/2019 18:40

Can I jump in too ? I'm on my way to class after having a maintain last week . I have followed plan exactly except for a few hi fi bars last Wednesday from depression . I hope even for a lb loss but feel all bloated .
I am thinking some of my problem is menopausal and age. Excuses I know but finding it harder than I expected . So far I have 10lb gone in 4 weeks so maybe I need to settle a bit . I suppose I want it all gone now and was gutted not to lose last week .
Fingers crossed .

Very motivational here . Some good ideas

Pinkarsedfly · 20/06/2019 15:37

10lb in 4 weeks is amazing!

Mrsgandy · 21/06/2019 07:52

@YorkshireGoldFanClub just reading back on some previous posts . Are you drinking water ? It's important when eating lots of fruit and veg I think .

Lost 2lb so I was well pleased as didn't feel like I had lost . I do feel it now though couple of days later . I am finding I really need the speed for this to work .

Gummybear11 · 21/06/2019 08:15

Hello, can I join? I signed up with local group last night. I'm 28 weeks pregnant so not overly concerned with the scales at the moment...but my eating of the crap has been out of control for quite a few years now and am alarmed lately with the size of my thighs, amount of back fat etc Shock
Consultant said I might lose first week but after that should be maintaining/gaining...I just want to see some fat loss, don't care what I weigh at the moment.

First day today! Planning on having shreddies with milk for breakfast then off to supermarket to stock up on loads of veg!

Is anyone else vegetarian?

YorkshireGoldFanClub · 24/06/2019 11:29

Forgot to say - weigh in last Wednesday (my first) 3lbs off!

YorkshireGoldFanClub · 24/06/2019 11:31

also i think my body has now found its natural rhythm - normal service seems to have resumed (3 litres of water per day certainly helps!)

FiveNightsAtMummys · 24/06/2019 16:16

Haha I'm glad Yorkshire, it's awful isn't it!

Mrsgandy · 25/06/2019 08:34

That's great Yorkshire. Well done .
I have had a super free and speed week . Gone over by a few syns on Sunday so hope I did ok this week . Won't know until Wednesday.

Mrsgandy · 25/06/2019 08:35

@Gummybear11 congrats on joining when pregnant . So much healthy food available for you

FiveNightsAtMummys · 25/06/2019 19:45

1lb off right a bottom of target. Surprised as 2 meals off plan (and a pudding) and also had a day where I ate everything and had just short of 90 syns

MartineJ · 26/06/2019 13:11

Hi All, Can i join in? ive joined SW after treatment for cancer which has also given me an under active thyroid. ...Joy. Been going for 4 weeks and lost 7lbs. found the last couple weeks a little sluggish and not motivated, although still had small loses. Reading through all this comments has given me a boost :) My weigh day is a Saturday morning. Hoping to loose another 2 stone ideally to get back to pre cancer weight :)

Sammi38 · 26/06/2019 13:46

Hi all.

Currently on my 3rd week of slimming world, have lost 10lbs so far and go to my weigh in tonight. The week has been crap food wise, with a lot of eating out and not eating much fruit and veg, so will see what the scales say tonight. Hoping it’s a small gain or by some miracle a maintain.

Have been prepping for this week food wise. I shop at Aldi and find there is plenty of sw friendly foods there.

I don’t really like sweets and chocolate, so I tend to use my syns for savoury things and also oils and sauces.

I don’t eat breakfast

Thursday:

L: tuna and lighter than light mayo (0.5 syns) (with spring onion mixed in) salad. I don’t like typical salady type items, so I have; shredded lettuce, apple, carrots and grapes and sweet onion, with balsamic vinegar. Babybel lights, banana. Fat free natural yoghurt.

D: Aldi buttermilk chicken thigh burger (10 syns) wholemeal roll, lettuce and cheese. Sweet potato fries cooked in the actifry with sweet paprika and olive oil (3 syns). Left over salad from lunch.

Dessert: strawberries and fat free natural yoghurt.

Total: 13.5 syns.

Friday:

L: Nando’s butterfly chicken with skin (3 syns), spicy rice large (4.5 syns)

D: basmati microwave rice (2 syns) mayflower curry sauce (4.5 syns) with egg, onions and mushrooms mixed in.

Dessert: fresh mango and apples

Total: 14 syns.

Saturday:

L: chicken drumsticks with skin removed, salad and bread roll with butter (2 syns). Twisted cheese string. Walkers baked crisps (5.5 syns).

D: ready to wok noodles (2 syns), bean sprouts, chicken, mushrooms, mixed peppers, onion, soy sauce and garlic powder.

Total: 9.5 syns.

Pinkarsedfly · 26/06/2019 14:49

I’m on week 4 and I’ve only lost 3.5 lbs. so fed up.

edgen2019 · 26/06/2019 17:20

Well done Martine and congrats to all for weight losses. Don't worry if you have gained, just draw a line under it, pick yourself up and start again! I have now lost three and a half stone, but it has been a bumpy ride - don't give up giving up!

Sammi38 · 27/06/2019 09:50

I gained 0.5lb this week, it was expected considering I had a few days off plan. Still, onward and downward for next week!

@Pinkarsedfly I know they say slow and steady wins the race, but I appreciate it’s frustrating. Do you have a food diary you can put on here so people can have a look, or what do your days typically look like food wise?

YorkshireGoldFanClub · 27/06/2019 11:01

2lbs down despite 3 social gatherings at the weekend featuring wine and icecream so very pleased but must try harder.

If it wasn't for the offending wine and ice cream, I would have managed to navigate through some tricky decisions totally on plan, I even sat at a kids party and ate salad and crudités managing to avoid the pizza and cakes!

YorkshireGoldFanClub · 27/06/2019 11:03

Stick in Pinkarsedfly, how are you using your syns? are you eating enough speed food and adjusting your free food accordingly?

every loss is a loss in the right direction, no point dropping weight really quickly and unsustainably to only gain it back again when you try and establish normal eating patterns?

Mrsgandy · 27/06/2019 11:04

Well done to the losses . I have 1lb more to get to the stone . I’m hoping to do it next weight in but I have so much on this weekend . Hoping to work body magic in too compensate . Also ate a load of those hi fi bars last night 😱

Martine hope you will enjoy the plan . You will feel great and be good for your health and weight loss .
Pink are you counting your syns and eating lots of speed ?

Pinkarsedfly · 27/06/2019 11:49

Thanks for the support. Embarrassingly enough, I suspect I’ve been going too heavy on the alcohol, so I’m having a completely teetotal week this week to see if it makes a difference.

If not, I’ll be back on here with food diaries next week.

Groovee · 28/06/2019 21:31

I've been missing in action. Had issues with my work advertising what was basically my role on a change of contract and not telling me. I found out by chance. Unfortunately I wasn't successful and was told on Tuesday that I was to leave today.

It's been awful and so much upset in my team. I've burst into tears a few times which isn't professional but I couldn't control my emotions. Sadly I've lost my appetite and feel dreadful when it comes to food. Fruit seems to be ok. But it's been such a hard week emotionally.

Sorry to hear of your troubles Groovee, hope things improve for you soon.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 29/06/2019 18:08

Sorry to hear that grove that sounds very unfair

Mrsgandy · 29/06/2019 19:06

@Groovee sorry to hear that . It certainly sounds very unfair. Hope you ok

strangerthongs · 30/06/2019 09:18

haven't been on here for a while.

I've been maintaining for a few weeks so getting rather frustrated now. I'm also going on an AI holiday for two weeks this week so bit worried about how much I am going to put on and trying to stay healthy whilst still enjoying myself.

Anyone got any holiday tips, and any tips for getting out of the maintaining rut?
