Thank you all for the great ideas I've been shopping tonight and have got a few different bits that you've recommended so I'm looking forward to starting a fresh week 😊

muminmanchester · 08/05/2019 21:15

Hi all

I've just restarted after having my second baby. I've got a stone and a half to get back to pre baby weight - and that was a stone more than target. So I've got a long way to go!

I'm most struggling with breakfast ideas that I can do while trying to get a toddler out the door and handle a baby that just wants to be held at that time of the day. Any ideas? Eggs were always my go-to but anything involving cooking isn't going to happen right now.

ExpletiveDelighted · 08/05/2019 21:24

Well, I've signed back up today and feeling positive. The new consultant seems very nice (I really didn't take to the previous one) and the meetings are at a better time for me than previously.

OrianaBanana · 08/05/2019 21:40

Hi all the new joiners! Grin

muminmanchester overnight oats are always good, ready when you are. Eggs - you could hard boil some just to eat cold, or make mini quiches to either eat cold or zap in the microwave - or my new favourite, poach an egg in a cup in the microwave, stick it on some toast.

2.5lbs off this week! Smile

OwlinaTree · 08/05/2019 21:45

Well done oriana!

Groovee · 09/05/2019 06:29

Well done Oriana.

Welcome to everyone joining us.

I find a big fruit salad with cold boiled eggs that I cooked the night before works well. Ds is 16 and last week bellowed why are there always eggs everywhere 😂

Thank you Groovee.

Is there a food diary function in the app? MFP type thing?

DontFundHate · 09/05/2019 09:14

Hello @muminmanchester I'm feeling similar, I have a toddler and one at school. At the moment im just having a banana but I am lacking in energy!

Wow @OrianaBanana I never knew you could.poach an egg in the microwave! What a good idea? Could you tell me how long for please?

Overnight oats also sound good. Anyone got a good recipe for ones made with milk or plain yogurt please? Thanks!

OrianaBanana · 09/05/2019 09:40

DontFundHate I crack it into a cup with some cold water to cover then microwave it in 20 second bursts til it’s right. Other people do it other ways, if you Google you can find one that suits you.

If you don’t mind crude humour then twochubbycubs (google them!) have some good overnight oats recipes (and other recipes) - they believe in using your syns to have proper food (rather than spend them on chocolate etc) and they’re not always 100% on eg synning oil and cooked fruit. I just use the oats, a muller light and frozen chopped fruit for speed (not speed speed, though most of it is, I mean quickness).

muminmanchester · 09/05/2019 09:52

Overnight oats are a great idea, thank you! Will do them with yoghurt so I can keep my HEX A for milk.

DontFundHate · 09/05/2019 11:31

Thank you @OrianaBanana ooh yes I've come across that site before but didn't realise that about them, sounds like what I'm trying to do so will have a good look :)

@muminmanchester I'm sure you've come across this already but just in case, it's two healthy A and one healthy B now. Changed since I did SW last

OrianaBanana · 09/05/2019 11:38

And SP days are worse, no extra HExB and only ten syns.

OrianaBanana · 09/05/2019 11:39

muminmanchester if I’m really pushed for time I might just have a banana and apple on the go and a couple of HiFis for HExB later.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 09/05/2019 12:59

Sorry just seen all questions about different routes for target members. Basically your consultant works out your average loss over last 8 weeks (when u get to target) and then picks a route based on that, a, b or c. Mine was b which means I can now have and additional 2 healthy extras per day and then 2/3 days a week I can have an extra 15 syns. Route A and c are similar but less for a and more for c. It seems like such a lot! I'm just staying on normal plan this week as I had a McDonalds yesterday and having some off plan treat at the weekend with my other half (to celebrate getting to target) so thought I best keep to normal plan for this week. I'm only 1/2 lb under target so if by some miracle I loose the it'll be fine.

Wishiwaswonderwoman87 · 09/05/2019 16:03

Hi. Can I join here? I rejoined last week... Had an sp week to kick-start my loss.. and lost a measly half stone. Bit gutted, stuck to plan 100%.

OrianaBanana · 09/05/2019 16:11

Welcome wishiwas! Half a stone is amazing, well done Smile

And well done on target FiveNights!

Wishiwaswonderwoman87 · 09/05/2019 16:27

Argh! I mean half a lb! Didn't even realise I made that mistake! Woops

muminmanchester · 09/05/2019 17:17

@DontFundHate I didn't know that, thank you! That makes life much easier!

OrianaBanana · 09/05/2019 18:14

Ah ok wishiwas that’s more understandable! Grin Stick with it, sometimes it shows more the week after x

ClashCityRocker · 10/05/2019 07:46

Half a stone off at weigh in tonight. Pleased with that, although I know from past experience I do tend to lose well in the first week, before slowing down to snails pace. Of course, in true slimming world tradition my bowels decided to wait until after weigh-in to open... 🙄

wishiwas might well be that you weighed in originally on a lighter day, and weighed in this week on a heavier day. You might see a big loss next week.

If not, keep a measured food diary and show your consultant, see if she has any ideas.

muminmanchester · 10/05/2019 08:31

That's amazing @ClashCityRocker, well done!

OrianaBanana · 10/05/2019 10:25

Well done ClashCityRocker!

iklboo · 11/05/2019 08:22

Well done @ClashCityRocker!

Another pound off for me this week - and it was a naughty week. 11.5lb altogether in 7 weeks.

Groovee · 11/05/2019 08:59

Well done to everyone losing x

I'm at MILs for lunch, normally she makes fresh soup so I was thinking I'd be fine, but she's just whipped out a huge homemade shepherds pie. It'll be 10% fat mince, fried off in oil, mash made with butter and milk and topped with cheese... how many Syns would you estimate? I'm going to have a small portion with a big salad.

I'm a bit gutted, was looking forward to a glass of wine tonight but I'm going to blow all my Syns on this aren't I! And probably tomorrow's Syns too!
