I'm on holiday this week so taking the plunge on Monday. I've got about 1.5 stone to get me back to target (lost 3.5 stone 3 years ago and kept it off for 3 years!). Anyone want to join me staying on track?

Well done everyone on your losses Grinhowever big or small at least they aren't gains!
Treated myself to a kebab tonight which was amazing and reckon only 12 syns (8 for pitta, loads of free veg, 3 for garlic sauce and 1 in case there was any fat or coating on the grilled chicken breast). Out for dinner tomorrow so trying to do just speed all day tomorrow until I go out and Sunday to compensate for the alcohol

Started doing a bit of running again - it's slow and steady ( 20 mins 3 times a week) but hard work and quite depressing considering I ran a half marathon 9 months ago Shock

Can I join please?

Have looked online & going to my first meeting Weds evening. I've been doing WW online for months but as I'm by myself its too easy to slip off as it doesn't matter if there's nobody weighing me.

Hopefully this is fresh program & fresh start :)

blackvelvetband · 24/09/2018 18:37

I started last Wednesday! Hopefully the last time joining SW!
Tell me this... some of you will remember the red / green days we used to do. I lost a lot of weight c2009 / 2010 on these plans before EE came along.
Do any of you still do these elements of the plan?
If so, how successful are you?

I was really struggling today and it suddenly dawned on me that I hadn't eaten any meat. So I had another hexb and it's really hit the spot!

Mymadworld · 24/09/2018 22:43

3.5lbs off and hit my first half stone Grin

Brilliant loss Mymad. Plus your kebab sounds lovely! Think I will have one Friday when the kids / Mr Urban have their pizza.

2lb off for me this week making 10.5 in 3 weeks. Am hoping for a steady 2lb a week until Christmas but a 10 day holiday may scupper that.

blackvelvetband · 26/09/2018 16:19

Going to weigh in now!!!! Wish me luck xx

Soulstirring · 26/09/2018 17:38

Huge well done to everyone! Very envious of some of your losses. I’m disheartened as only 0.5lb this week making 4.5lb in a month. I was hoping for a lot more if I’m honest...I know 4.5lb is relatively ok, and certainly better off than on but apart from a few cheat days with wine on a weekend I’ve been so good. On track for gold for exercise and no snacking. I’ll keep at it ...

UrbanSunday · 26/09/2018 20:13

Good luck Black - hope it went well🤞

blackvelvetband · 26/09/2018 23:29

4.5 off!!! So happy!!

Soulstirring · 27/09/2018 06:47

Congrats Black, great week!

blackvelvetband · 27/09/2018 14:21

Thanks! I celebrated with 3 bags of monster munch, a magnum and a packet of fruitella!
Back on it today!

MidnightVelvetthe7th · 29/09/2018 21:55

Hi all, I'm doing my first week.

I keep seeing fat free fromage frais being mentioned in recipes but I can't find it, am I ok to substitute with fat free yoghurt? Smile

Mymadworld · 30/09/2018 00:05

Total disaster week for me Sad. Out 2 evenings (including a cheese and wine night that I failed on all fronts to resist) and then family lunch tomorrow which knowing my mum will be a roast with cauliflower cheese, goose fat roast potatoes and my favourite not so easy on the oil Yorkshire puddings AND my night at home when I had been good all day ended with 2 bags of crisps and a mini pork pie. Fuckity fuck really pissed off with myself and just need to get back in the game. First week without doing a food diary so clearly that was my first mistake and didn't meal plan properly which always puts me on the back foot with grabbing something quick and not very sw friendly.

Moan over and hopefully you're all doing better than me this week Smile

I lost the thread!

Lost 2.5 last week and got slimmer of the week - so 11lbs total in 4 weeks.

Am aiming to get my stone this week but went to three kids parties this weekend and went over on my syns, so don’t think it’s going to happen. Still I’m on plan and intending to show the best loss I can.

grumpymummy72 · 03/10/2018 17:40

1.5 off last week so 8 in total over 3 weeks giving me slimmer of the month! However, just come back from two days away with work so while I was good in the day (resisted all biscuits, most amazingly) was a little naughty in the evenings with food and wine. However, still a lot better than I used to be. Weigh in tomorrow so back in the zone until then.

grumpymummy72 · 03/10/2018 17:42

And yes midnight substitute for yoghurt or, if savoury meal, quark (which is more like sour cream).

Mymadworld · 03/10/2018 20:53

Well done @grumpymummy72 & @slithytove and I'll join your losses with a very surprising 1.5lbs off taking me to 9lb since start and on my home scales I'm finally 10stone something (10.13 but still, been a whilst since I've been 10 anything! They're usually 2-3lbs below SW weigh in but it's a good motivator.

I've promised to book myself a long overdue cut & blow dry if I have a loss next week so trying to be really good - maxing out on syns this week but it's TOTM and I always have sweet cravings so happy they are at least a bit more controlled now.

One more off this week - even wearing jeans and socks rather than the usual cut offs and sandals! Result.

slithytove · 05/10/2018 14:10

Thank you :)
2lbs off this week making 13 in total (5 weeks). Not quite there with my stone but I’m going for it next week and will hopefully drop down into the 14stone something bracket.

Goal after that - my club 10 at 14 stone 6lbs

Mymadworld · 09/10/2018 16:56

How are all you September starters getting on? 10.5lbs in 5 weeks here so feeling great. It has been hard st times but determined to be a size 12 for Christmas again Grin

OP posts:
slithytove · 10/10/2018 22:54

Lost another 3 at yesterday’s weigh in which takes me to 16lbs gone forever - got my stone sticker and slimmer of the week, plus I’m now in the 14 stone bracket so really happy.

Next steps:

5lbs for another half stone sticker - 3 weeks?
Another 2 more to reach club 10 - 1 more week?
Then I’m hoping to hit another half stone by Christmas.

I’ve also started body magic today with a half hour swim, so feeling good.

Mymadworld · 10/10/2018 23:15

@slithytove that's fantastic and 2 stone lighter for Christmas would be AMAZING Grin

Loving your mini targets as well - I'll join you with an aim of 2.5lbs this week to get my stone award then it's another 1.5lb to club 10 so that will be my following week target. I'm also aiming for 2 stone by Christmas but a bit behind you at the moment Smile

OP posts:
slithytove · 11/10/2018 00:20

I don’t think you have quite as much as me to lose, on a percentage loss I reckon you are miles ahead! This is a 5 stone journey for me (minimum) but I’m the one who ate myself there!

You are doing brilliantly and I’m guessing won’t have too much too lose in 2019 - unless Christmas is a never ending feast!?

Mymadworld · 11/10/2018 10:57

@slithytove I was a target member for 3 years and managed to get back on it before I gained too much so only 1.5 to lose this time. You'll get there Smile

OP posts:
Kahlua4me · 11/10/2018 13:16

Well done everyone for their losses. I was doing well for the first few weeks and then blew it all last week ☹️ However I forced myself to stay for the group and feeling more positive now.

I am filling in a diary this week which I haven’t done before and am finding it helpful to stay focussed, and have noticed that a few things are much higher in sync thsn I thought!
