I'm on holiday this week so taking the plunge on Monday. I've got about 1.5 stone to get me back to target (lost 3.5 stone 3 years ago and kept it off for 3 years!). Anyone want to join me staying on track?

Thebasicweegie · 02/09/2018 22:08

I'm planning on restarting tomorrow. I lost almost 2 stone after having my DS 2 years ago and gained almost all of it back this year..... would love to lose a stone by Christmas!

starryeyed19 · 02/09/2018 22:37

I'd like to join too please! Starting for the first time next Tuesday at a class. No idea how any of it works really. Does anyone have any pointers? Or tips for preparing?

Mymadworld · 02/09/2018 23:00

Hi all,

Getting to the first meeting is the first hurdle then I would say plan, plan & plan! I need to meal plan for the week ahead, do a shop & have some meals either batch cooked or ready to go quickly or I stumble and resort to eating crap. Looks like I won't be starting until Tuesday now as she is working late tomorrow (luckily there's meetings both Monday & Tuesday for weeks when this happens) but trying to get my head back around it all again and can't shop until Tuesday so another day might not be a bad thing plus kids still off until Wednesday so unlikely to be disciplined enough to start until then anyway

I'm having to travel a bit to find a daytime meeting as I can't go in the evenings. Hence having to wait until the kids are back.

Langpants · 03/09/2018 07:45

Hello everyone!

I'm starting tomorrow and will be joining a group next week. Still trying to get my head around it.

Have ordered a few slimming world meals to tide me over so I have time to learn. 😜

I have at least 4 stone to lose. 😩

SentToTheSynByn · 03/09/2018 08:42

Right, lunch today is a boiled egg, quorum sausages, cherries, celery sticks and a sugar free jelly.

Dinner is going to be a beany chilli with cauliflower rice.

Slimtimeagain · 03/09/2018 08:58

I'm weighing on Mondays but at home. 11 stone 7 and a half pounds. Excited to see what the week brings.

librarysuperstar · 03/09/2018 09:20

Can I join please? I've put on weight this summer having intended to lose it, got a big family event in a few months and I'd like to lose three stone.

sirlee66 · 03/09/2018 09:32

Oooo can I join? I'm joining officially on Friday as there is a meeting during the day and I'm on maternity leave.

DS is nearly 5 months and in ready to lose the baby weight and a bit more

Would like to lose 10stone really. That would get me down to the middle of being in the healthy BMI range.

I'm 5ft11 and 19 stone atm.

Do you think group would mind me brining baby DS with me?

Chrisinthemorning · 03/09/2018 09:40

To be honest I’m not rejoining group, just going back on plan.
Today-
Breakfast banana
Lunch will be scrambled eggs with mushrooms
Dinner prawn and rocket pasta in HM tomato sauce.
Will have fruit for snacks and have crab sticks also.
Weigh in was yesterday at 10st 9.

Thebasicweegie · 03/09/2018 10:36

I'm doing it from home too. Weighed in this morning at 12st9. I was 11st9 at Christmas so I'm pretty gutted!

Thebasicweegie · 03/09/2018 10:38

No, I used to take my baby with me when I went to group!

Soulstirring · 03/09/2018 15:42

I too am doing online only. First spin class tonight... wish me luck 😂🙈

Keehar256 · 03/09/2018 15:47

Me and hubbie rejoining tonight after years away. I've got 4 stone to shift, he's got about 3.
Really determined this time. Currently my knees ache, no energy, out of breath etc etc.
I've got an offer of a horse to ride for free, but when the owner found out what I weigh they said no..Sad

Gutted. And it's a big horse !!Grin Grin
I think you kid yourself that you're just a bit chubby in places, but when that sort of thing happens you have to confront the fact that actually you are just a fat b***d!! (to quote Dave off The Full Monty)
So, enough is enough... wish me luck!!

Langpants · 03/09/2018 21:02

Lol @Keehar256 - I'm with you!

Mymadworld · 03/09/2018 22:08

Weighed in 11 stone 12.5 and set my target at 10st4 so 1stone 8.5 lbs. I've gone for the 12 week countdown and want to be at target by then so need a steady 1.5lb off a week. Totally doable in theory but quite daunting to be back on it again after so long off plan. Meal planning and making a shopping list for the rest of the week and weekend.
I've got tomorrow's meals sorted (day off so light fry up for breakfast Grin) carrot & coriander soup for lunch and spicy Thai mince in lettuce cups for dinner. What are we all eating this week?

Keep going ladies now matter how big or small your overall target, just focus on smashing tomorrow Smile

stephb1991 · 03/09/2018 22:56

1.5lbs a week is totally doable! But feeling the same as you with being off plan for so long.

Planning on having Beef stroganoff tomorrow, chicken jalfrezi, spaghetti Bolognese and a bacon, onion and potato bake this week. Also use those Maggi cooking papers with chicken breasts when I can't be bothered as they don't take long and are lovely!

Good luck with the rest of this week Smile

Mymadworld · 04/09/2018 14:29

Just discovered Asda chocolate and Fudge cereal bars (5 packs) can be a HEB like the SW bars Grin. I always like a sweet snack with a coffee at the end of the day so looking for alternatives to my whispa/crunchie obsession!

OP posts:
Keehar256 · 05/09/2018 14:03

Started off at first weigh in 13st 3lb. Set target at 10st. Seemed like a nice group.
Had fry up fry lite style this morning and jacket spud and sweet chilli prawns for lunch (1/2 syn) Did loads of fruit and veg shopping yesterday and the bill was much less than usual without all the biscuits, cake, crisps and booze that's usually in our trolley!
Are there any other substitutions for healthy B extras instead of hi fi bars?? They are nice but expensive - it would be nice to have some other things.
Mymadworld I'll be trying the Asda ones you mentioned!

I've dusted off all my slimming world books from last time - they are great for ideas and some of the things in them are lush!
Have a good week everyone!!

Soulstirring · 05/09/2018 18:22

Can you believe I didn’t actually weigh myself before I started. 😂🙈

I was too scared, post holiday and just starting period. So I guesstimated based on what I knew I was before holiday. According to that I have lost 2.5lbs this week...but possibly more. Next week is the real test but I’m relatively pleased at tha for a start.

Has ginger and soy salmon with rice noodles for tea, it felt light but filling and was very tasty.

Kahlua4me · 05/09/2018 21:39

Ginger and soy salmon sounds delicious!

I restarted yesterday but sadly couldn’t stay for the meeting as busy with dc. I have only put on 4lb over the summer so better than I expected.

Aiming to lose 2 stone...

Itsear · 05/09/2018 22:04

I am joining next week, aiming for a 3 stone loss. I have lost successfully in the past but stupidly I have put it all back on (and more), I still have my literature from before so will use that until I get my new pack next week. I know they are fond of changing the hex b list so I expect that at least to be different.

Mymadworld · 05/09/2018 22:23

@SentToTheSynByn the chocolate Alpen light bar are pretty good and HEB

OP posts:
SentToTheSynByn · 05/09/2018 23:52

@Mymadworld thanks that's handy to know. However I'm not sure why you told me Confused Grin

UrbanSunday · 06/09/2018 22:45

Can I join in please. Joined SW for the first time on Monday. Have four stone to lose (at least😩)
