ON PLAN MAY.. who's with me?!

MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup · 30/04/2018 20:31

April has been a complete write off for me. I'm on plan, then off plan, and back and fourth and I have a stone to lose! I just keep messing about and I've had enough! Can we do this in May everyone?! Post our meal plans and our ups and downs on here?

Let's all do it, and at the end of May we can find out how much we've lost in a whole month and share amongst us!

I'm in! Rejoined this evening after putting on 11lb since January... I'm determined to lose it again for the summer and stay at target. Did a great day today... Will post meal plans etc tomorrow as too tired now!

Flutterby81 · 01/05/2018 07:34

I’m in! Iv been kind of on and off plan for a couple of months but decided it’s now or never so this will hopefully keep me accountable as following plan from home.

OuchLegoHurts · 01/05/2018 07:41

Ok, starting with berries and quark with a teaspoon of honey (1 syn) and some cinnamon. Think I'll try an SP day. Did one yesterday. Speed salad with tuna and chickpeas and salad dressing (1 syn) for lunch and 3 egg bacon and onion omelette with salad and healthy extra toast for dinner.

Flutterby81 · 01/05/2018 07:56

Sounds yummy I’m just sat here working out meals for the week so I can go shopping think I’m going to make the turkey tikka burgers from the magazine for tonight. Not sure about breakfast or dinner yet will update later afer the shop.

CrockedPot · 01/05/2018 07:58

I’m in! Been rubbish for a month, on and off and hopelessly unorganised. I have a stone to go. Started with wholemeal toast, half a ton of tomatoes for breakfast. Let’s all do this!

CrockedPot · 01/05/2018 07:59

Half a TIN. BlushGrin

MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup · 01/05/2018 11:16

I am definitely gonna give it my all this month. I am so fed up of going backwards and forwards on and off plan! It just ultimately makes me feel worse! I'm also going to start drinking a lot more water. I've just finished a 1L water bottle already! I have also had a cup of tea without sugar for the first time as I usually have 2 sugars and syn it but the taste was.. Sad I am going to keep trying! I really want to eliminate sugar in my tea then hopefully I won't crave it so much.

I'm in! Been on slimming world since the start of January, had a good couple of months but messed around a bit during April. Been being good for about ten days now and I am losing again! I'd like to have lost 11lbs by June!

Flutterby81 · 01/05/2018 12:34

@milkycoffee I used to have 2sugars in my coffee years back then cut down to 1 then none now I can’t drink coffee with sugar in so do keep going and eventually you get used to it Smile
Today’s meals-
B-fat free yoghurt,strawberries and blueberries
L-tuna and egg salad
D-tikka turkey burgers wedges and salad bun as b choice
A choice milk for coffees and blitzing 12 syns in a magnum ice cream as a treat fruit as snacks

OuchLegoHurts · 01/05/2018 13:48

We can do this!!! coffee I want exactly 11lbs off by 1st June too! I'm determined to lose 4 this week Grin

OuchLegoHurts · 01/05/2018 19:49

Ok, I've been good today, didn't eat anything except my planned meals. Going to have a bowl of Aldi mediterranean cauliflower rice as a snack later. I highly recommend them by the way. They're in the freezer section and totally yum! They don't taste like cauliflower, more like a bolognese or tomato based soup. 1.5 syns for one sachet which is about a bowl. I prefer savoury snacks to sweet ones so it hits the spot while I'm watching tv.

OuchLegoHurts · 01/05/2018 19:53

I'm also finding tinned chickpeas a lifesaver when I'm doing an SP day and don't want carbs with my lunch salad. Half a tin of chickpeas mixed in really keeps me full for a lot longer than a salad without them.

Mumthedogsbeensick · 01/05/2018 20:03

Count me in! I completely lost the plot in April and need a kick up the backside. Ate three bloody cherry bakewells today because I was bored. So mad at myself because I want to lose weight so bad and I'm only 2lb from my stone and a half award. New start from tomorrow. Just made overnight oats for breakfast, will make slimming world quiche for lunch and defrost a homemade SW chicken curry for tea (dinner-I'm from Yorkshire!)

BoringUsername444 · 01/05/2018 20:36

Joining! Did brilliantly then went skidding off the wagon.

Can I ask. Do you just eat chickpeas straight from the can? Never had them before but I have a ton in the cupboard and I’m having salad tomorrow.

MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup · 01/05/2018 21:16

Welcome everyone!

@BoringUsername444 you can, but I think it would be classed as a tweak in SW terms! However, chickpeas are full of protein so if it doesn't affect your weight loss then go for it!

MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup · 01/05/2018 21:17

@Flutterby81 I am definitely not giving in! I've only had one cup of tea today without sugar so that's not bad going!

MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup · 01/05/2018 21:18

@OuchLegoHurts we're all rooting for you! Seriously I want to be in the 8st bracket by the end of this month! At the moment I am fluctuating between 9st 3 and 9st 6! Cake

Morning everyone good luck for your first week @sammy
Had a good day on plan yesterday and 40 min at gym. Today’s plan-
B-yoghurt,banana &apple
L-chicken salad roll(b), blueberries,orange
D-peri Peri chicken&rice from sw mag.
Milk as a choice and hopefully half hour at gym.
Hope you all have a great day Smile

MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup · 02/05/2018 11:10

Good morning @Flutterby81 . Great start! I really need to start exercising. I love step aerobics so I'm considering ordering a stepper and then doing workout at home. Plenty of workout vids on YouTube to use. Today I am out with my DH at Whetherspoons so I am having five bean chilli with rice and tortilla crisps which is 6 syns (found syns on Facebook and I think I saw it on the app too) just to be on the safe side!

Tonight I am thinking about making a chicken lasagna. It's a recipe found on YouTube by "Gemma's Journey", in case anyone is interested! She follows SW and has lost 6 stone. She's a Mum of 3 and she's absolutely fantastic! I enjoy her videos so much. She is so motivated and her food looks divine too. She makes it look so pretty and colourful lol!

Have a lovely day everyone and a great day on plan! Fingers crossed x

hi ,
i just started SW and i just cant figure out the syns . Well today i had coffee with 2 sweetener and just very very little amount of semi skimmed milk but i dont know how many syns i have used . As i have to loose 2 stone . Is any one can help me please .
thanks

MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup · 02/05/2018 14:15

@sim18 have you joined SW at all? If you can't use the app, then for semi skimmed milk you can have 250ml for your healthy extra A. If you want to syn it and you only had a splash, then maybe syn it at 1 to be on the safe side, otherwise just have tea using your hexA allowance and it will be Syn Free :)

OuchLegoHurts · 02/05/2018 14:16

Boring yes, I just rinse the chickpeas in water and then straight into a salad. They are classed as protein in SW so you can have them on an SP day and I find them filling.

namechanger14 · 02/05/2018 14:54

I'm in but, I tend to eat the same things week in, week out (on a tight budget) so not sure how much use I'll be regarding meal plans.

I have quite a bit to lose still (.5lb of 2st gone so far) but my intermediate target is to have lost 3st by the end of July, so 14.5lbs to go.

@Milkycoffee, be careful eliminating sugar completely, as it is like a drug and you can suffer withdrawals from it, also if u do it too quickly you will crave it more.

I swapped from normal sugar to candrel granular sweetener but I noticed I started craving more sweet foods such as chocolate, cake etc. I've gone with a happy medium of 'half spoon' sugar. Ie is half sugar, half sweetener meaning it is half the syns BUT u only need to use half as much so win/win.

I've also reduced my syns from 15 to 10 a day and although my losses are still up and down (huge 1 week, tiny the next), I have lost every week since I reduced where as I had 3 weeks on the trot where I maintained before. I've only gained once (in 17 weeks), and that was a combination of stuffing my face with easter eggs (Why do people who know ur doing SW think it appropriate to buy you not one but FOUR large easter eggs?), thinking "sod it, I've already had the chocolate might as well get chippy for tea" and then af turning up the night before weigh in.

xx
