ON PLAN MAY.. who's with me?!

MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup · 30/04/2018 20:31

April has been a complete write off for me. I'm on plan, then off plan, and back and fourth and I have a stone to lose! I just keep messing about and I've had enough! Can we do this in May everyone?! Post our meal plans and our ups and downs on here?

Let's all do it, and at the end of May we can find out how much we've lost in a whole month and share amongst us!

Been really good today aksodone 45 minutes at the gym. How’s everyone else doing?

MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup · 08/05/2018 23:05

@Flutterby81 it's so hard isn't it! :( and that's fantastic @calzone I really need to up my exercise I am going to get a chrome cast at some point this week. It has to be done I think it will be the only thing to keep me focused and on track! Lunch was a tuna and cheese jacket potato with lots of spinach and tomatoes and for tea is a cajun Chicken sizzler from Aldi which is free, a schar ciabatta roll as my hexB, cheese as part of my HexA, carrot fries, grilled courgette and beetroot! I'm in, not at any groups so will try and do this on my own, weighed myself this morning and I'm the heaviest I've ever been, absolutely disgusted with myself Sad

MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup · 09/05/2018 13:57

@MrsOH2004 I've been there as well. The heaviest I've ever been and miserable but I feel much better now after this huge lifestyle change and the main thing is you've taken the first step to change! Give us a shout if you need any help with syn values or anything else in general x x

Hello
Is there room for me to squeeze in on this thread?

I started 3 weeks ago and have lost 7lbs so far.

MrsOH2004 · 09/05/2018 17:31

Well done Dontstep, that's half a stone already!!

L- New potatoes, and ham salad

DontstepontheMomeRaths · 09/05/2018 18:44

Zazu44 · 09/05/2018 19:07

Weigh in as expected-heavy 😂
Seems a nice group and SW leader is lovely, so hopefully I'll stick to it.
I've never yet found a friendly supportive group to stay to, maybe groups have been too large.
Had a good days eating, now having a white wine spritzer to finish the day 😊

MrsOH2004 · 09/05/2018 19:39

I have been looking at Aldi's 5% burgers and meatballs, 1 syn for 1 burger and half a syn for 3 meatballs, not bad at all.

calzone · 09/05/2018 20:54

Another day on plan. Yay!

I’m going to fast tomorrow and try and do 10 000 steps.

Lots of water too.

MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup · 09/05/2018 22:44

Today I had an on plan picnic so basically a brunch. Consisted of leftover Cajun Chicken sizzler, light cheese slice and courgette sandwich using half of my hexA and my full hexB. I had 2 boiled eggs, strawberries, quinoa bites (4.5), pasta n sauce tomato and herb (1), a banana, an apple and a Pepsi max.

For tea I had 2 inspirations fish by birds eye for 1 syn, sautéed vegetables, and a baked sweet potato with skin on!

Well done to those who had an on plan day and losses xx

Hi. I’m new to Slimming World and new to mumsnet and never joined a chat forum before. So a hat trick for me. I joined slimming world on 1st May and had my first weigh in on bank holiday. I find my group a bit unmotivating and I have a toddler who won’t sit still, so am looking for some support from an online group. Any hints and tips would be appreciated and I love seeing your meal ideas for inspiration.

Polkadot1974 · 10/05/2018 20:06

Joining too. Heaviest I’ve been since pregnancy. Nothing fits and I convinced myself I can’t be veggie and make SW work but these menus help SO much to see where people use syns and what I could eat if I got organised!

DontstepontheMomeRaths · 10/05/2018 21:47

Overnight oats again. I tend to make them in the morning and mix the yogurt in. It's fine by the time I'm at work.

Lunch the same soup as yesterday.

Tonight was a potato, pepper, spinach and tomato recipe syn free from their website and was super.

Had 8 syns with my 2 G&Ts tonight and just fruit today when hungry.

MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup · 10/05/2018 21:54

Well done all! @MrsOH2004 I'm so sorry to hear that I really hope it turns out to be nothing! Can't imagine how worried you are though :( got my fingers crossed for you!

B: Fakewell Tart (4)
RECIPE in case anyone's interested! I mixed 40g ready Brek (hexA), 1 egg, 2tbsp quark, cinnamon and vanilla skinny syrup, added a bit of water to make it into a more runnier consistency. I added half of the mixture into a small fish pie dish, scooped 2tbsp reduced sugar jam (1 syn per tbsp), poured the rest of the mixture and put on top another 2tbsp Jam. Baked in the oven on 180c for about 35 mins! Served with more flavoured quark and blueberries and a coffee (3).

L: Jacket potato, beans, cheese (HexA) & salad

D: SW chicken curry and cauliflower rice (2) for the butter ghee to temper the cumin and bay leafs.

Snacks:
Banana
Apple
Mattessons Slow Roasted Chicken (3)

Ending the day on: 12

@Flutterby81 I love Muller Lights but I had to stop eating them as it wasn't helping me lose weight :( I think it's because they're high in sugar! But for the few that I know follow SW, It doesn't affect their weight loss so it must just be me.

OP posts:
Karyn1975 · 10/05/2018 22:54

Been good today and yesterday with bank holiday weekend mishaps

B - 40g porridge cooked with cinnamon and skimmed milk. Raspberries and blueberries
L - sw crust less quiche cooked with mixed frozen veg and onions, served with salad leaves and beetroot, cucumber and celery
D- traybake of sw chips and sweet potato wedges, mushrooms, red onion, Quorn sausages x2 (2syns) with fried egg on top and wilted spinach to side. Yum! Naughty but nice.
Snacks were apple, banana, muller light toffee yoghurt
Syns were glass of 25ml pink gin and slim -3 syns
2 chunks dairy milk from a 200g bar -3 syns.

Redpony1 · 11/05/2018 09:14

Does anybody know the syn value of Lidl's Newgate Plum Tomato & basil soup please?

Are there any syn free soups? I have no interest in making my own! Smile

I lost 4st on SW before, but at the moment can't commit to a group and online is too expensive considering all i get out of it is a list of syn values, i don't cook much so recipes are useless to me :(
