Thank you for the encouragement. I work in a call centre mainly at night so I'm worried tonight will be particularly rough. Still, I'll do my best.

I've ordered 70 buttons and I'll put them in a jar for every pound I lose.

ALemonyPea · 02/11/2017 16:45

Well done losers. Welcome newbies.

Hope your dads appointment went well Groovee.

This time of year, soups would work well, especially packed with veg and lentils. Very filling. I’ve made lentil and bacon soup today, loads of carrots and onions in, delicious.

Gruffalo, I’ve lost 7 stone and at the beginning it seemed like it wasn’t doable. Work at it half a stone at a time, seems less scary doing it that way. Aim for the half stone awards, it soon all adds up.

RhinoGirl · 02/11/2017 21:27

1lb off today, feeling okay with that :)

Trills · 02/11/2017 21:29

If you have access to a microwave at work, I make myself "ready meals" by cooking more of a dinner than I need then making a tub of curry+rice or chilli+rice or lasagne or paella and then freezing.

amusedbush · 03/11/2017 11:41

Oh dear. I'm off work with a chest infection and I've been eating so badly, I weighed in a day early just to draw a line under it and I've gained 5.5lbs. In six days! 5.5lbs! How the fuck is that even possible??

I'm hoping a chunk of that is water due to increased carb and salt intake so it might drop back off quite quickly. I only have four weeks until our trip to Paris so I don't have time to fanny about causing myself setbacks Hmm

thisgirlrides · 03/11/2017 14:29

Don't beat yourself up @amusedbush draw a line under it and go extra easy for a few days. You can do this Flowers

Over indulged in drinks & nibbles with friends last night (cheese & bloody biscuits - willpower was definitely AWOL Angry) but had a good week otherwise and on tract today. Just posted a really lovely lunch recipe of lentil Dahl and need to make some more soup for the weekend as I struggle in between meals when I'm with DH & Dc.

Thank you. It's so weird, now that I've weighed in it feels like the line has been drawn and I no longer have any urge to binge Confused I've struggled so much all week but today feels like day one all over again - full of motivation and excitement.

Long may this continue!

gruffaloshmuffalo · 03/11/2017 20:22

I'm having an awful time. I only joined yesterday and paid for a 12 week membership type thing so I really want this.

I get to work yesterday and it was awful. It's kinda outing so can't go into it but I was in tears and then can't sleep. It's not going to be resolved until Sunday at the most. It's just an awful situation to be in. All I want to do is just eat crap and cry. I ate at least 30 black jack sweets today, because they were there. It didn't make me feel better. If anything I feel like a giant failure. My husband is being so supportive but I'm so tired, and I just want junk food, and to curl up and hide. The actual meals I ate today had 3 syns all in, which isn't awful and even tho I ate all the sweets I haven't done what I would normally do which is go to the shop and buy food to binge eat, so I know all isn't lost. I just feel shit.

Sorry for the long rambling post

Trills · 03/11/2017 20:50

Sorry you're having a shit day gruffaloshmuffalo

What can you do to have an OK evening that does not involve food?

Can you plan nice non-food things to do tomorrow, so you're too busy to binge?

gruffaloshmuffalo · 03/11/2017 21:24

I work nights so I'm there tonight. My husband cut up some melon for me to have, so I'm having those and my hxb Hifi bars. Just have to keep plodding on

Tomorrow I'm going to sleep ready for my next night shift. Still, I can do this

Trills · 03/11/2017 21:53

You can, absolutely.

And melon is nice.

Lubilu28 · 04/11/2017 07:55

Lost 4lbs this week and I really wasn’t expecting it!! I will deffo be doing a few more SP days if these are the results of them 😊 bonfire party tonight but luckily the host is an ex-sw member and she is going to be making most things sw friendly. only problem is I was in charge of bringing the cake and I’ve made a toffee apple cake, definitely not sw friendly haha 😂 and it smells delish, but I will try and stick to having a taste and maybe a hifi bar instead :)

Have a fab weekend guys x

Groovee · 04/11/2017 09:35

I’ve been 100% this week. Even turned down Chinese. Finally 💩 too!

Fingers crossed for a good loss on Tuesday.

Sorry to hear that things are crap just now gruffaloshmuffalo

Keep plodding on. That's all you can do.

I've lost 2.5lbs of my gain overnight, which is fab. I have a full week until my next weigh in as I went to class a day early this week and I feel confident that I'll be back at my lowest weight. My stomach feels much less bloated today too.

ShapelyBingoWing · 04/11/2017 11:24

Hope you have a better day today/tonight Gruffalo.

I must say, I'm absolutely bloody starving today. First time in 6 weeks. I keep snacking on speed foods but it's really not hitting the spot and I'm hungry again 20 minutes later. Going to make calzones for lunch then bugger off out to the park with DD so I stop daydreaming about KFC .

Raisedbyguineapigs · 04/11/2017 11:30

I've had a stall in my weight loss for a couple of weeks. I was thinking of doing sp as other people seem to be saying low carb is the best way to lose weight but there's still no fat on it, so are you absolutely starving or are all your syns fat if you do it? Is there a good website that explains it in idiot terms?

latedecember1963 · 04/11/2017 17:20

I've done SP days when I've wanted to re-start my weight loss. Oddly enough, I've felt less hungry with no carbs. No idea why as I love pasta, cous cous and rice usually. I find the no yoghurt on SP the biggest hardship.

Hope work goes ok, Gruffalo. By not going to the shop to get something to binge on you've already made a big change in your approach.

latedecember1963 · 04/11/2017 17:26

Meant to add that if you go on the SW website & click on my slimming world there's a link to the SP info in the grey header.

ShapelyBingoWing · 04/11/2017 18:24

Tried one of those Nutella B-ready bars today. In two minds about them. I have no issues with the 5.5 syns as I have 2-finger KitKats quite frequently. But it was just a bit underwhelming. 3 mouthfuls of flavourless crunch followed by a bit of Nutella.

I really thought that when Nutella finally branched out into snacks they would be legendary Sad

amusedbush · 05/11/2017 13:48

Well, two days back on plan and I've lost all but half a pound of my 5.5lb gain Shock

I'm over the moon and feeling so much better for it. I've still got the entire week to plug away and get back into my routine - I might actually get a loss rather than just breaking even! Shock

thisgirlrides · 05/11/2017 17:41

Away this weekend and fallen off the wagon totally - we’re not talking double Dominoes everyday but little control on all meals so making the best of it Confused

Groovee · 05/11/2017 17:50

I went to the cinema today. Planned 2 satsumas with 2.5 syn popcorn and forgot to take it so had a Sprite Zero!

Did try dh’s cheese dip. But that’s been it. I really hope to have a good loss on Tuesday as I feel stuck.

OP posts:
Groovee · 06/11/2017 08:28

So today I have had 20g of porridge mixed with water and a yoghurt and topped with fruit.

Not sure about lunch as DH is off.

Dinner is chicken fajita with wraps for the others and red rice for me. Will do a big side salad too.

I cannot believe we are flying through November.

amusedbush · 06/11/2017 09:09

It just shows you how quickly my face and waist bloat up when I'm not eating well - my boss said that I'm looking "a good bit slimmer" today. However, I'm only just back to the weight I was a week ago! I instantly puff up when I overdo the carbs and salt Blush

Groovee · 06/11/2017 09:12

Ah, what a mare for you Ambushed.
