I've not found it to be like that. I eat a lot of muller lights and mug shots as they're all free, mug shots occasionally one or two syns depending on flavour. I just cook things from scratch now and use stock cubes for gravy instead of granules. Make my own spag bol instead of using jars. Lots of veg and fruit. I have sweetener for coffee but actually just got used to it without.
Lean meat, fat removed and as much as you like. I can eat bacon eggs beans mushrooms and as long as the fat is trimmed and it's grilled I can eat lots! I've lost every week I've stuck to it and the weeks I fell off it was only one night and I still managed a smaller loss. You have to stick to it, and alcohol has pretty much gone out of the window but I don't drink loads in fairness.

Ahh ok Ill take cash.
I made dinner this evening (final pre SW fling) and baked some asparagus as a side, sprayed liberally in frylight and a sprinkle of salt before putting in the oven for ten mins. They were amazing and free! Turns out the parma ham round my (free)chicken is only 0.5syns a slice too, so barring the dauphinoise pots (probs about a zillion syns), not a bad meal at all.
Ive tasted that Coca Cola Life today which tastes exactly like full fat coke but is fewer syns (4.5), so I may switch to that. I sadly cant bear the taste of Diet Coke, so cant go to that, which I understand is syn free.

Hi all, I an mew too started Thursday night so Friday really, will be doing EE to start with have about 6 St to lose eek! Did a big food shop Friday, made a list of the things I like to make so that I remember variety and have made one lentil soup in my new soup maker, plan to make a veggie one tomorrow. My main worry is keeping organised when I am at work and finding the time to make everything fresh.

Settling - I've told my mum what I'm doing as I know she'll be supportive but not judgy. I've mention to my fairly new chap that I am starting to make sure I eat better, he has said he'll help any way he can and doesn't mind eating in rather than out. And I'll probably tell my best friend, because she's a whizz in the kitchen and will be full of inspiration. Other than that, and here, no one else will know.
Did a nice stew type thing for tea, in the good old slow cooker, I enjoyed, dd spat it back out and point blank refused to try another mouthful. Ended up making her a sandwich.

I have just joined online and also downloaded the magazine which had a recipe for lamb shanks in it. Cooked it this evening for the family and we all really enjoyed it...... And it's free on EE days which is great. Worth a try. I need to lose at least 2 stone so hope SW will work for me. It certainly means you eat more fruit and veg.

Just done a stir fry for tea but I didnt realise that fresh noodles had to be syned (was countng on only synning the packet sauce), so thats 7.5syns all in for my portion.
Have realised I havebt usrd my A or Bs today either so will have a couple of wertabix before bed if needed. Do we get two B Choices?

Im finding it quite hard to work out - I know I shouldn't, but I get confused about everything. Trying to menu plan for next week but getting myself in a tiz. Dont want to eat eggs every day (aren't they supposed to be bad for cholesterol?). Im sure it will be second nature after a while, but today, I just find it all a bit difficult - probably because I have the kids here still and their bickering is getting on my t*ts!

If you do Easy Extra, things are either Free or Synned, theres no different coloured Synned. You would need to look at a list if free foods.
All pasta, rice and noodles are free. Potatoes are free. All fruit and veg is free. All meat is (essentially) free - cut fats off, use

Sorry I've not been back have been so busy. So tomorrow I join. Do you have to buy the recipe book or do you get one when you join? Also back to work soon so I need quick lunch ideas for when I get home. Luckily I'm only part time. Have got my 1st night out on Saturday since dd2 was born 6 months ago but I will try to be good . Breakfast is also an issue with me as I hate eating 1st thing.

There will be a stand with various recipe books that you can buy, depending on your group you will either be able to buy any books you want and take them home that day or you may have to order them to be ready for the next week.
I find a lot of the best recipes on either the SW website or on facebook.
When you go out for the night having a single measure of spirits with a slimline mixer is good, for food a lot of people play safe and may have a steak and jacket potato with no sauces obviously depending on where you are going.
