Hi havent been on for a week or so.
Huff sorry you've had such a tough time Flowers. I hadn't realised and hope me mentioning my pregnancy wasnt too insensitive.

Lost 1lb last week, amazingly as had a rubbish weekend. But struggling this week...so dread to think what wi will be like!

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/07/2013 20:35

I made some strawberry cupcakes today, got the recipe from the SW website. They were lovely and only 2.5 syns each so I had 3 Grin.

Been much better today, in preparation for WI tomorrow:

B - Banana
L - Low fat sausages (1), fried egg, tomatoes, mushrooms and beans with 2 slices of bread (HEB)
D - Diet coke chicken with noodles and salad
S - Satsumas, 3 cupcakes, Muller light

goodbyeyellowbrickroad · 29/07/2013 21:35

Was pleasantly surprised when I got on the scales after my trip away. No loss but no gain either. Back on track today

B - 2 poached eggs on toast (heb)
L - quorn with courgette, carrot, tomatoes and pearl barley
D - will be spag bol and salad
HEA - skimmed milk

iklboo · 29/07/2013 22:01

MAINTAIN! I'm so relieved. DH had a 1lb gain so he's not a happy bunny. Back on the wagon till Bank Holiday now.

TheDetective · 29/07/2013 22:21

I'm a fussy bugger Blush.

Meat - I only eat chicken, bacon, and one particular type of ham and you can only get it in Asda Blush Blush Blush

Don't like anything with curry in - tried a few, just not fussed on it.

I have a fish phobia - defo no fish here!!

I use vege mince a lot. And use Quorn too.

Sauces I miss - nice cheesy sauces and creamy sauces for pasta. I loved pasta with cheese. Just melted cheese. I am drooling at the thought! I miss cheese definitely - but just cooked in foods.

TheDetective · 29/07/2013 22:21

Tried quark and philli. Didn't like either.

TheDetective · 29/07/2013 22:24

Mac n cheese.

Cheesy baked potato.

Veg lasagne, covered in cheese.

Creamy mushroom sauce on pasta.

Cheesy chips.

Just :(

That is all!

SummerHoliDidi · 29/07/2013 22:49

I love cheese too Detective. I use all my heas as cheese and if I buy the low fat cheese I can have a bigger portion of it.

Cheesy baked potato is my standard lunch when I'm at school because the canteen always have it and the potato is free, so I'm just using the cheese as a he and leave the heb for toast as breakfast.

You can have cheese, just not as much as you used to. If you have a red or green day you are allowed 2 portions of cheese, or if you are breastfeeding you can have quite a few extra healthy extras (I miss breastfeeding :( just for this reason and dp won't let me have another baby so I can eat more cheese inconsiderate twat)

SummerHoliDidi · 29/07/2013 22:49

Oh dear, I had a strike out fail :(

Huffpot · 30/07/2013 09:46

onceipop don't be silly! I'm delighted for anyone pregnant or with a newborn. I may get a bit sad if I see newborns out and about in the next wee bit but am fine. I'm blessed enough to have 2 beautiful energetic boys (nearly 3 and 4 now) so it could be worse. The boys got me through the whole thing and were sweethearts amazing for men

WI tomorrow for me so hoping for a STS after my unplanned Mcdonalds feed

Going for a walk with the double buggy to get some shopping in the rain soon so roll on body magic!

trinitybleu · 30/07/2013 17:58

hello loosers Grin

I'm arsing about and not doing 100% effort. Will have 0 syns all day and then blow it with a bottle of cider and a peanut butter chunky kitkat (Sunday) or full on McD's (yesterday).

Doing ok today despite a doughnut (10.5 syns) but the doughnut may bugger up dinner plans ... can anyone tell me how many syns in an Asda Rump Steak Burger??

trinitybleu · 30/07/2013 18:02

Detective - you can have proper carbonara, if you have a side salad or veg too? It's just eggs and parmesan but tastes super rich and decadent!

onceipopicantstop · 30/07/2013 20:18

Thanks huff Smile

muminthecity · 30/07/2013 22:01

I had a huge shock at WI tonight - I lost 5.5lbs! Shock Got my 3.5 stone award. I probably would've got slimmer of the week as well if I'd stayed for the meeting - I didn't. I went out for dinner to celebrate instead and it was lovely Grin. I was weighed twice as I thought the scales must have gone wrong! I'm just hoping that my terrible few days last week won't have a delayed effect and make me gain next week - will have to be super good all week just in case.

SummerHoliDidi · 30/07/2013 22:57

Wow mum that's brilliant!! How did you do that?

Fairygen · 31/07/2013 08:09

Wow mum, that's great! Our consultant says that a naughty couple of days sometimes kick starts your metabolism ( but obviously don't do it every week!!!)

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/07/2013 08:12

well done mum :)

Thanks summer, Fairy and Blondes. I think you must be onto something there Fairy, because I had 2 and a half days of being awful last week! On the other hand I have done lots of exercise which is all I can put it down to really. I spent 1.5 hours in the gym on Sunday and Tuesday, 2.5 hours swimming with DD on Saturday and have been doing lots of squats at home, to try and tone up my thighs! Will definitely keep going with the exercise.

I tried on a pair of black skinny jeans last night that I bought about 2 months ago - they were much too small when I bought them (wouldn't even go up over my hips!) I have been using them as a short-term 'goal' and now they fit perfectly! they're even slightly loose around my waist Grin.

Dollybird99 · 31/07/2013 12:40

Hello fellow SW'ers. I wondered if I might join you? I joined SW two weeks ago and so far have lost 3.5lbs, second weigh in is tonight.

My first aim is to get into some skinny size 18 jeans that I have - I reckon I need to lose about a stone to get into them comfortably. I am doing the extra easy plan and finding it really fits well into my lifestyle.

I went a bit off plan at the weekend because it was my dad's birthday and had some cake, some Iceland mini frozen puddings (profiteroles, mini doughnuts etc) and some sausage rolls + about 4 alcoholic drinks that I should have had). I have since had good days, and have exercised loads, (10 mile bike ride Monday, swam 26 lengths last night, and had a proper good walk) so hoping the damage will be minimal.

So far craving almond croissants, chocolate twists, hot buttered toasts and hazelnut lattes.......... :-)

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/07/2013 12:49

Welcome dollybird

Fairy I think you're on to something with that one (or the consultant is!) as it is certainly ringing true for me right now.

I've been so strict sticking to plan til recently. Now I'm having the odd 'bad' day. And I'm losing more!

Scales are showing I am 1/4 lb away from my 2 stone award!! I could do it this week! Shock Shock Shock

Grin
SalaciousCrumb · 31/07/2013 17:58

Hi....if anyone remembers me after I've not been on for ages Blush .....missed last week's group, but wi this evening. lost 1lb!!!

So that is 5.5lb altogether. Going to try for my 1/2 stone for next week.

Keep going everyone Smile

I've taken up exercise again, so I hope sticking to plan and exercising a few times a week will bring me some good results in time for a wedding in September.

Fairygen · 31/07/2013 18:58

Is it just me who goes into ' starvation' mode on weigh day? I don't eat anything after 12 noon, and wi is 5.30.

SummerHoliDidi · 31/07/2013 19:04

I go to a morning group Fairy so wi is 8am. I can cope with not eating til then, and I take my breakfast with me to eat after I've been weighed. I can't cope with starvation mode, and being in the morning means I weigh slightly less than if I weighed in the evenings (although it's the same time every week so my losses are the same as they would be at a later wi)

I've walked a lot this week and I think I'll take dd2 swimming tomorrow. I love school hols for getting more exercise.
