Curlywurlysareyum · 29/05/2013 07:24

isaac it's hard to do it every day. We all need to have a blip. I think u r great for getting back on it the next day.

onceipopicantstop · 29/05/2013 07:41

Aaaargh its all gone wrong!! Lost 1.5lbs last week and then fell off the wagon big time. We had a rare child free night away in a posh hotel and I'd decided I wasn't going to worry about sw for a couple of days but have found it very difficult to restart - so have essentially eaten rubbish for 5 days Blush. Trying to start again today. Am dreading WI Sad

IsaacCox · 29/05/2013 07:56

Thanks Curly Thanks

We can do it onceipop :)

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 29/05/2013 08:33

Early weigh in this morning as DH is out tonight and I can't get a babysitter. Wish me luck.

captainBeaky · 29/05/2013 08:35

Morning all. Started the day with a big plate of scrambled eggs, toms, veggie bacon and two small pieces of rye bread. I hope that's OK? Going to exercise, do a bit of gardening and be as active as I can today. I need to prise myself away from mumsnet. Why is it so addictive? Like everything else! Good luck today. Hope the sun is shining.

MrsHelsBels74 · 29/05/2013 09:38

Where's the diet coke chicken recipe? Can anyone point me in the right direction as I couldn't see it on the SW website?

LollipopViolet · 29/05/2013 09:55

Hels I think it's on the SW website.

We had the SW sausage casserole last night, was lovely! Am escaping the house for the first time since Friday to go to group tonight - being in all the time is very annoying, roll on my voluntary work starting!

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 29/05/2013 10:01

2lbs off. Get in!

Huffpot · 29/05/2013 10:25

Well done on the losses and the blips I understand!

WI tonight and am hoping to get off some of the 4lb gain from my blip week last week!

hels I made mine by frying onion and peppers in frylight till softened then take them out of the pan. Fry chicken with salt and pepper until sealed then pop the onions and peppers back in. Pour over a can of diet coke(or diet drink of your choice), some passata or tomato puree and a tsp or so of chinese 5 spice. simmer until the sauce gets thick and sticky (which can take a while).
Absolutely gorgeous and lovely with home made syn free crispy seaweed as your superfree mmmmmm

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/05/2013 12:39

I've browsed chicken recipes & can't obviously see it. What's it actually called?

But saying that, I wrote down 'creamy pasta bake' as an idea & can't find that recipe either Confused

obrigada · 29/05/2013 15:26

MrsHelsBels74 - I googled Chicken Diet Coke and got the following, hope this helps:)

This is a classic recipe for Slimming World followers - it sounds really bizarre, but have faith, it turns into a really tasty barbecue-style sauce, and best of all it's FREE! I served mine with vegetable rice, but it would work equally well in a pitta bread, on a jacket potato or with Slimming World chips.

Serves 4

Syn free on Extra Easy and Original

Ingredients:

400g sliced chicken breast

1 onion, diced

330ml can Diet Coke

6 tablespoons passata

Dash of worcestershire sauce

Fry Light

Salt and pepper to taste

Method:

Heat a large saute pan and spray with Fry Light
Add the chicken and onion and fry until beginning to colour
Add the remaining ingredients and bring to the boil
Simmer until the sauce thickens and reduces down to about half its volume - approximately 30 minutes
LollipopViolet · 29/05/2013 15:52

Well, just over an hour til my weigh in. I've had a good week, so hoping the scales paint a happy picture later :)

Dawndonna · 29/05/2013 16:35

Good luck with weigh in everybody!

Fisharefriendsnotfood · 29/05/2013 16:42

Hi everyone

Sorry I've just found the new thread, thought I'd say hi. Will catch up ASAP. I've been good all week but have a blissful weekend ahead in hotel with no kids where I plan to have a blow out - it's the law on your birthday though right Grin

stowsettler · 29/05/2013 16:55

Hello all

After many (sometimes successful) years of being a WW, I decided to join SW in an attempt to lose the last stone of weight I gained when pregnant with DD (now 3 months old). Weighed in today after a week - 3lb off! SOOO chuffed - especially considering that this week I had two nights on the booze (big reunion weekend) and a hangover Indian takeaway. I like SW. Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/05/2013 16:56

'Waves to fish' I did link this thread to old one

Good luck lollipop

And diet coke chicken is fab / but better with Pepsi max - slightly sweeter - yummy with rice noodles or pasta

Amazing how sauce goes sticky and yummy and totally free

Keep meaning to make with diet lemonade. Someone I know on sw did it and said it was yummy

B 2 weetabix (b) milk (b) banana
L broccoli and cheese bake (6 for Chinese as had my a)
T tuna salad

Hello

New here, and joined SW again 2 weeks ago.

Had a great loss of 4lbs in my first week, but put on 1lb today. Was expecting it to be honest - I have no will power when it comes to the odd beer/glass of wine at the end of the day.

I'm on maternity leave at the moment, and have 9 wo DS. I've been successful at SW before, but in the past I've been busy at work - now I'm at home all day and I can fall into bad habits! I have just cooked a batch of skin free chicken legs to snack on during the week.

I have to fit into my size 12 wedding dress in 9 weeks. I need to lose 2-3lbs a week from now on really. Please tell me I can do this!

SalaciousCrumb · 29/05/2013 18:46

Hi all, 3rd day in for me. All free food apart from a quoin sausage sandwich with tomato sauce which I've counted as 13 syns.

Good luck to everyone wi

Stow sw works better for me too. Well done on your 3lb loss.

Fish a weekend in a hotel minus children I'm trying for one of those! For my birthday soonish we are planning to eat at Jamie's Italian...

Blondes sound like you're focused again. Are you still doing gym/classes?

SalaciousCrumb · 29/05/2013 18:49

Hi feeling horse. I'm new too. There's a lot you can do in nine weeks! Good luck. I'm hoping to lose 10lb in 5 weeks.....

FeelingHorse · 29/05/2013 18:54

thanks crumb, and well done to you!

I've just booked myself into a spin class on Friday morning - it'll be the first time I've been to the gym since giving birth. Eeek!
