Laughalot - we are so close. I was 12.2 this morning too - I think I will cry when I see 11 !!!

I love the reaction of my friends I haven't seen for a while! At the beginning if people noticed I would say just a bit. Now I'm thanking them and saying yes I've finally done it after all these years. Compliments def are a motivation for me to keep at it!!!

Hey ladies my names Debbie, just found this thread and boy do I need it. Been with slimming world 5 weeks. My weigh in is a Monday night, I lost 4.5lb/5lb/2.5/2lb/1lb 15lbs in total so far. I'm pleased as I have 2.5st on baby weight to shift. The last 2 weeks I got cocky slightly and it shows in the weight loss. So this wk I have been good as gold and I mean really good. Snuck on my scales this afternoon they are only ounces diff to theirs and I've gained 1lb. I'm so fricking deflated, I could literally stuff my face with every piece of crap in the house.
Could water retention be possible?? I think I'm due on I'm not sure because only had 1 period since I stopped BF 6/7 weeks ago so not sure about my new cycle yet. I've also started at the gym again after 15 months off. I did 4 sessions last wk.
Surely I can't of gained. Anyone followed the extra easy plan and had a gain?? I really need some advice.
Thanks in advance x

Debbie, in all honesty, I'd stay away from any scales. I don't use mine anymore, well, I do sneak on on a Wednesday morning before I weigh in that evening, but mine are massively different to theirs.

Only times I've had gains, I've been over-synning. Also, sometimes our body can go "woah, hang on, what you doing?!" if we lose a lot of weight quite quickly, and can hold onto the weight. This could be what's happened, but I guess you won't know til weigh in to know the definite answer. Do you do a food diary?

I discovered a yesterday, after purchasing some new kitchen scales, that I'd been massively over-estimating my cereal and milk allowances. 30g of my favourite cereal is not much at all :( I've also discovered blueberries and raspberries are brilliant for when I have a sweet craving. So hopefully, this next weigh in should be a loss for me. I'd love a 5lb loss as that'd take me to my stone award :)

Well if it wasn't bolloxed before it now is. I've just had a 20min binge fest. I really hadn't gone over my 5 syns. I'd possibly had a extra coffee but that wouldn't of taken me to 15. I hadn't kept a food diary but I didn't need to all of my food intake has been on the plan.
That's me at the gym in the morning. Totally annoyed with myself x

Debbie - I have heard of that happening to a few people in class as soon as they start exercising. The leader says it comes off the following week. Try to look at your overall fantastic loss and not be disheartened. You are doing so well.

And also Debbie - don't forget 1 to 2 pounds is a healthy weight loss - I average over my time at sw at 1.5 per week. Slow and steady not a bad thing.

Struggling today for the first time in six weeks. Lost 11.5lbs and really want to make my first stone before my birthday this time next week. But really, really CBA. Had melon and a mushroom omelette for breakfast and feel like sabotaging it with toast and butter.

Done a bit of gardening today, hoping that will burn some calories and therefore some fat, as I've been SO good food wise this week.

Off to Alton Towers with my college mates in June, so would like to have got my stone award before we go. We go on 10th June so not long eek! I also start a new voluntary job on the 17th June so I'd love to be on my way to 1.5 stone gone by then.

Dreading weigh in tomorrow. Yesterday we were at a wedding with loads of yummy food (there was no way we were refusing it!) and there may have been one or two glasses of wine.

This morning was a full English breakfast with toast at the hotel .

I DID dance my tush off for a solid hour though, so that must have helped, surely?! Grin

I've been insanely good this week, not eaten anywhere near 10 syns each day. Will have lost two pounds hopefully. I'm not one of those people where it goes really fast, unfortunately.

I have been ok this week. Honestly where is my willpower?! I ended up having a chippie last night as I just could not face cooking. But I have done lots of gardening so hoping that will balance it out!

Bank holiday weekends are always a struggle for me! I was out Friday, didn't eat much but drank a hell of a lot of rum Blush. Out all day yesterday, chose the healthiest food I could but still probably over my syns. Been really good today and planning to be really good tomorrow. I'm going to my sister's for a barbecue and she has assured me she will make lots of healthy options (lean meat, salads etc) so I should be ok there.

This week is going to be a huge struggle for me. I was out all day yesterday and didn't eat until late, then ate some sweets. Went over 15 syns but not by too much.

Tomorrow is DH's birthday. We're going out for dinner and he's got a (small) chocolate coming with the Tesco delivery tomorrow. I'll have to have a small piece Wink

Then Friday it's my sister's 18th. We're having a full day out- breakfast, bowling, ice skating, Lunch then back home to do a buffet and BBQ and drinks for family and friends! I think I'll just have to take the day off!

And then, on Sunday me and DH are off to York for 2 nights, so I'll be mainly off then too.

I am looking forward to the week but tbh I'm dreading it too because I don't want to put weight on :(

I'm looking forward to having a 100% week again the week after!

Grrr - DH is insisting he wants to go out for lunch tomorrow. We have eaten out twice since Wednesday and it is a bloody struggle. He fancies Nando's. I don't eat meat, so there is nothing even vaguely 'on plan'.

Might let him struggle with the DCs and sit on my own outside with a packed lunch.

I wouldn't say I'm an expert but seem to be managing on days out. Today went out for breakfast and ordered bacon, tomatoes, scrambled egg (checked how made). Also out for lunch and ordered baked potato with beans and salad. Went on a playdate with my daughter this afternoon and took Alpen light bars for " tea and cake" time.
Picnic with family tomorrow and have made slimming world quiches in individual foil cases ( must remember fork!) to eat with salad. Will also have low syn ice lolly too I expect.
Went to wedding last week and ate a huge slimming world breakfast before leaving. Took alpine light bars and fruit to snack on so didn't stray much on the meal and drank spritzers with diet lemonade or Bacardi and diet coke. Only way I can cope with days out is to think about it and plan. Hope that helps.

I find planning helps too. I just need to be braver in restaurants in terms of asking how stuff is cooked etc.

Going ice skating on Tuesday and planning a nice lunch at a nice pub chain place that's just down the road from the ice rink. They even advertise the fact they will substitute chips etc for other stuff.

Great to hook up with you again laughalot and blondes motivation is good at the moment, I have plans to do RPM tomorrow night, Aerobics on Tuesday, gym another night and RPM again on Friday.

I have to work out why I have zero willpower and cave in all the time. Did so well and it's gone back on again. My mate who is a fitness instructor said "you have to change your normal." I have to kick my snacking habit.

Littlemouse I completely agree about huge slimmers world breakfasts. Works for me, today I had muesli followed by eggs, beans and mushrooms. I coped with watching dd and her mate eating chips after swimming today.

What do you all do about weigh in day? Do we all have the same day?
