1lb loss for me this week. Relatively pleased with that as its difficult to weigh in on a Monday after the weekend. So it's 3 in 3 so at least it's going in the right way.

IsaacCox · 24/06/2013 09:53

Well done mini :)

Cindermummy · 24/06/2013 10:07

Hi everyone .. Hope you don't mind if I join you . It's my second week on sw but the least few days iv fallen off the wagon ConfusedConfused back on plan this morning but dreading weigh in tomorrow Sad...

obrigada · 24/06/2013 10:14

Day 1 for me AGAIN, had breakfast with a friend yesterday, she has lost over 3.5 stone since November on SW (she just used the books and lots of advice from friends who were doing SW) and she looks absolutely fantastic. She has inspired me to give it a proper go!

Started the day with a BAB:)

TheYoniExpress · 24/06/2013 10:24

Hi all!

I'm back after a fab weekend but last night I was feeling awful as before the weekend I was SO good at sticking to plan and getting into the rhythm of it... Then came the weekend: Friday night 1/2 bottle of wine plus 1/2 bottle of cava , then out Saturday night with my best friend for dinner at côte (starters, big fat steaks and chips, puds, vino and a sneaky digestif at the end!), and roast and puds yesterday. Although it was largely unavoidable as we were staying with friends so had to eat what they prepared and been ages since my bf and I had time together like that so fell into old habits of drinking like fish as if we were still ten years younger!

Anyway, I am going to be good today ready for WI tomorrow morning and hope that my good efforts in the week balance out the weekend

TheYoniExpress · 24/06/2013 10:26

Ooh hello to all new people and well done to all losersWink

Just wanted to also say that this group is so inspirational. I was feeling really down about my gluttony this weekend, but came on and read through your posts and if has really lifted me. Thanks everyone Thanks

Dizzydummy · 24/06/2013 10:41

Can I just ask how much some of you lost in your first week please? I am 2 stone overweight and I was just wondering what the 'normal' loss would be for me in the first week. Should I be happy if it is just 1 or 2 lb's or would I need to look back at my food diary?

Yoni Your weekend sounds great v.v.Envy (although fully aware that if that had of been me, I would have put at least half a stone on!!!)

minibmw2010 · 24/06/2013 11:24

Dizzy, I have only lost 1lb each week and have 2 st to lose. I know sometimes people have huge losses but I've been v honest when working out my diary and I know there have been times I haven't been 100% 'good' but a loss is a loss and going in the right way Smile

melliebobs · 24/06/2013 11:30

0.4lb loss. Ah well a loss is a loss n after this weekend I should count myself bloomin lucky. Line drawn fresh start

D - pasta, prawns, rocket, cucumber, pepper, tomatoes, radish, spring onion, dressing
T - rancheros burger (2 syns) bun (6 syns), sun free chips, salad

minibmw2010 · 24/06/2013 12:22

Does anyone know the syn value of Aberdeen Angus Steak Mince? Is it free? It's from Aldi. Usually buy the extra lean, under 12% fat that's free but there wasn't any yesterday.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/06/2013 12:39

Beth - told ya !!!

Mini - well done on lb loss

Cindermummy - welcome

Obrigada - what's bab?

Dizzy - generally I'm a lb girl - occasionally 2 if really lucky

Mellie - indeed a loss :)

Mini - if not extra lean then most minces are 3syns per 100g so normal size pack 15 syns so if between family of 4 or freeze then just under 4 syns x

B weetabix b milk a and fruit
L chicken salad pear
T lamb chops sweet potato and veg

Blondes "bad ass breakfast", thought I read that on here?

IsaacCox · 24/06/2013 13:02

Hi new people :)

dizzy, I think my first week I lost 3 then 2 and then it's been low ones most of the time.

Well done mellie

I'm (with my dm and dsis) going for a trial day at a gym on Wednesday! It looks lovely but I'm a bit scared that everyone else there will be super fit and then there's me 7 stone overweight! Blush

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/06/2013 13:25

Bad ass breakfast - what is in this dish ?

OP posts:
Huffpot · 24/06/2013 13:37

That breakfast sounds intriguing!

Well done to the losers, hi to the new faces

melliebobs · 24/06/2013 15:12

Does anyone have access to a Syn calculator??? I forgot about the BBQ sauce that goes in my burgers so need to know if I can have mine on a bun or not! If I post the nutrition info can u work it out for us?

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/06/2013 15:18

Roughly 20 call are a syn so if say 90 for tbspn then 5syns

I normally have salad cream extra light

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 24/06/2013 15:20

Had a quick look and lots of BBQ sauces are 1 tbspoon for 1 syn so good like my salad cream :)

Dizzy - for me slow and consistent, usually about 1.5 lb. I lost 2lb in the first week and was not very happy with that but overall I've now lost very nearly 2 stone, whereas some of the others at the class who lost loads early on are struggling to lose every week now. Just think that 1lb a week is nearly 4 stone in a year, and the longer it takes the better educated you are in how to keep it off. Smile

melliebobs · 24/06/2013 15:38

Ah cracking. 3 tbsp and I get 6 burgers outta the mix so 0.5syns. Deffo having the bun!!!

Dizzydummy · 24/06/2013 15:55

Thanks everyone!! So I'm not going to be a complete disaster then if I only lose 1 or 2lb's. I am on the original diet as I cannot see how I would lose weight on the extra easy version, being able to have rice, potatoes etc would be great but def wouldn't work for me.

MamaChubbyLegs · 24/06/2013 16:42

Just about to go out to my first one, and I'm so nervous! Please tell me they'll be nice Sad

DP didn't seem very impressed that I've started slimming world. Says he'll support my weight loss but then when I get off my bum to do something... Sad

Best friend said that people wouldn't like me because I only have a few stone to lose. Hmm

I've hardly left the house for half a year after horrible pregnancy and horrific birth and just want to do something for me. My confidence is wrecked.

Sorry to whine... I'm scared now! Wine

minibmw2010 · 24/06/2013 17:11

MamaChubbyLegs, of course they'll be nice, please done worry! They'll have seen everything - from people with 15 stone to lose to some with one. It won't matter at all! Hopefully your DH will become more supportive when he realises you're serious and ignore your BF. she sounds a bit jealous of you.

melliebobs · 24/06/2013 17:34

I don't go to groups but it shouldn't matter if you want to lose 1 or ten stone. The fact is you want to do something that's for YOU! And regardless of how much you want to lose your going to be more successfull having monitoring and the support of a group. Whether that's in real life or online Smile

iklboo · 24/06/2013 18:02

They'll be lovely. There's people at our group who have less than a stone to lose & I still like 'em Grin!
