I tried the SW crisps in the microwave...45 mins to cook 1 little spud seemed a waste of time to me, id rather have a proper pkt crisps and syn them.I find Meadow Churn(Tesco) to be the creamiest quark and makes the best sauce, but dont add it over heat as they all tend to seperate.

Daisy1407 · 18/06/2013 09:12

Bloody phone did a message and it went somewhere!?!? Grrrrr

Morning all, I'm on my way to reading from Cardiff to see if I got a job or if I'm being made redundant... Long day ahead!
I must not comfort eat! I have my fruit in my bag!

I'm already thinking about tea tonight! I really fancy some toast with clover - how many syns for butter?

Have a good day all x

TheDetective · 18/06/2013 09:32

Crisps - 4 to 5 mins in microwave not 45!!!

Can anyone tell me how much I've lost if I've gone from 15st 0 to 14st 12 please?!

To me that is 2lb yes?

minibmw2010 · 18/06/2013 09:58

Yes - 14lbs in a stone.

HolidayArmadillo · 18/06/2013 10:44

Weigh in tonight. Been out on the bike for an hour I the sunshine so feeling good :-)

TheYoniExpress · 18/06/2013 10:48

Good luck Daisy!

I had first weigh in this morning and... 5lb off! Hooray!

I have five weeks until DD2's christening... Do you think I could get a stone off by then?

I hate quark too... And cottage cheese. But I am putting my faith in Blondes' quiche and bought some to give it a go Smile

onceipopicantstop · 18/06/2013 10:52

Will have to check the syns on spices!
Well done yoni - brilliant start! I think you could make it a stone by the christening if you stick with it!

I don't mind quark - sometimes stir it into pasta for a sauce. Still haven't tried the quiche - will get some cottage cheese on next shop.

minibmw2010 · 18/06/2013 11:06

Aldi do a decent cottage cheese (in the scheme of the fact it's cottage cheese !!). It's free too syns wise.

Fookinell · 18/06/2013 12:22

Haha TheDetective it might be 4/5 mins for your crisps but mine took 45 mins, and yes i did the recipe exactly as it says, others at my group have said theirs have taken ages too, so not just me... Smile

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/06/2013 12:50

Had some bad news last night - my mum found a lump last week and got told yesterday it was cancer and needs chemo :(

Daisy - good luck with job situation

Yoni - have faith in
Blondes quiche :) cottage cheese just makes it taste cheesey

I made crisps using lasagne sheets and got told off as a tweak !!!

TheYoniExpress · 18/06/2013 13:15

That's awful Blondes. Although chemo is horrible, it does really get the bastarding cancer cells. Sending you positive thoughts

Will she need to travel far for chemo? Is she being offered lots of support?

Littlemousewithcloggson · 18/06/2013 13:31

Sorry about your mum blondes, don't know if this helps but a lady I work with was diagnosed last year, is completely clear & back at work again now.

Can anyone tell me what tweaks are?

Huffpot · 18/06/2013 17:44

Blondes so sorry to hear about your mum and my thoughts are with you and the family x

TheDetective · 18/06/2013 18:11

Blondes I have been lucky in my life having never experienced illness, certainly not cancer. So I don't know what you are going through, but sending all my best vibes you and your mums way. I like to say fuck off to cancer. :)

Today I made quiche - not your recipe Blondes but the one from the little book of lunches. Was amazing. I made it for snacks/lunch tomorrow. Um. Well. There is one slice left. Blush

Least it was free?! And I skipped lunch due to being out. So I don't feel too guilty! And DP did have 2 slices too!!

B: 2 boiled eggs, 2 400g wholemeal bread (HEB)
L: See above!
D: SW arrabiata sauce with pasta and chicken and roast peppers.

Snacks: Apple, banana, pink n white (2.5 syns).

Not sure what else to have. Will definitely have a highlights using milk as my HEA.

I've had a better weight loss this week - despite my stress over dinner on sunday! I've had less chocolate.

So will try the same next week, and if I'm getting 2-3lb off that way, I'll stick to it. As gutting as it will be!!

I've had 2lb off, and hoping for another 0.5-1 before Thursday WI. :)

BethAndHerBrood · 18/06/2013 18:55

detective how did you make your quiche?

I think i'm doing ok, but i really struggle on an evening sometimes. But then other nights, i'm fine. Weird! I'm going to get cracking with my knitting, that will keep my hands busy. I'm making a blanket for my beautiful neice. It's stripey like bagpuss! (God, i'm showing my age!)

TheDetective · 18/06/2013 19:12

I'll type it up later Beth! Just doing bedtimes now!

I struggle in the evening too! I find going to bed earlier helps!!!!! That or wiring my jaw shut Grin.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/06/2013 19:28

Helbels - tweaks are using food for something they are not meant for but are free food

Ie smash pizza

Lasagne crisps

Would be interested in other quiche recipe

heaves bosoms up in indignation

Better not be nicer then quiche a la blondes !!!!!

OP posts:
IsaacCox · 18/06/2013 20:32

B- scrambled egg and bacon on toast HEB fruit salad
L- cucumber sticks with hummus (3) more fruit
D- pizza topped chicken (cheese- HEA) with chips and salad
2x freddos (10)
I've had 8/9 glasses of juice a day the past 2 days so hoping that's helped a bit too.
