B/n squash and lentil curry:
1 onion, thinly sliced
3 cm ginger, grated
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 red chilli, finely chopped
1 butternut squash, cut into bite size pieces
550ml veg stock
4 large tomatoes, halved
2 tblsp medium curry powder
1 tsp turmeric
110g red lentils

Cook onions in fry light until soft. Add garlic, ginger and chilli for another minute. Add spices and stir for a few secs . Then add lentils and stock and bring to boil.
Put squash in ovenproof dish. Pour over lentil mixture, put toms on top and cover tightly with foil. Bake on lowest shelf of oven for 1hr 30mins, 180 C/ 160 C fan/ gas 4

This is the original recipe but I have always made it in the slow cooker and just reduced the stock volume a bit. And usually used tinned toms instead of fresh.

I have it ALOT!! And usually have several portions in the freezer!

Huffpot · 17/06/2013 19:04

glances round for the tweak police

You mix smash and garlic together with a little water to make a dough like consistency. spread and flatten it out on a fry lighted tray and spray the top and bake it about 10 minutes then flip it...spray it again and sprinkle a little cheese on top if you want and bake for another 10 minutes...its just helps the urge Smile

Daisy1407 · 17/06/2013 19:44

Weighed in - lost 2lb
So that is 8.5 in 3 weeks - brill!!! Xx

damnitdamnit · 17/06/2013 19:50

Can I join please. I've been back on the plan for two weeks now (second weigh in tomorrow eeek) I'm not attending group as I just can't afford it at the moment.

I lost 1 1/2 stone last year then got pregnant with dc3 and managed to put nearly a stone back on. DS1 is 10 weeks now and is mostly breast fed so I am allowing myself an extra A and B choice a day and not worrying if I go over my syns too much. Lost 4lb last week but not holding out much hope for this week as went out for a meal on Friday and had more than a few drinks then picnic on sun not remotely sw friendly followed by a BBQ with a couple more drinks Blush

Think I've got about 2 stone to loose but won't know until I get there. I just want to be a comfortable 14Grin nothing too drastic I like food too much Wink

Looking forward to reading everyone's meals and tips hopefully this will help me keep it up.

Hi everyone, both new and old slimmers Smile

Haven't been about for a couple of weeks, been busy with work, kids and other stuff!

Didn't return to group, as I was only staying for wi, and getting nothing from Body Imaging. But the weight loss has continued.....I've reached 3st loss in 6 months Grin I feel so much better and healthier. Even DD1 (14) and her friends have mentioned how I'm now a yummy mummy Grin I love dd and her friends!

Well done for all the losses......I promise to check in more often.....x

muminthecity · 17/06/2013 20:31

Well done to all the losers. I was bad this weekend, was helping my parents move house so couldn't cook proper meals, just ate sandwiches, fruit and crisps for lunch and dinner Blush.

Been a lot better today, WI is tomorrow, I'm just hoping I don't gain.

B - Banana and a satsuma
L - Tesco chicken noodle salad (5 syns) with extra salad, muller light and melon
D - Low fat sausages (1 syn) with jacket potato and ratatouille
S - 2 rocky road bars (HExB) and a bag of skips (4.5 syns).

Going to go to the gym tomorrow, do lots of walking and try not to have any syns before WI at 7pm!

melliebobs · 17/06/2013 20:46

Ok so where the heck can I get low Syn sausages? It's just what today's breakfast was missing. Even if it was just one! Everything I saw in Asda wasn't worth the damage!

TheDetective · 17/06/2013 21:16

I think Tesco do some 1/2 a syn each ones Mellie. I don't eat them so I can't be sure - but I'm sure I've heard others mention them. Sure someone else will know more than me. :)

I've not been great today.

B: 2 hi fi bars after another crap night with the baby and a banana.
L: Baked potato with a butter bud on (0.5 syn). Apple afterwards.
D: Chicken, roast potatoes, carrot and swede, cauliflower, sugar snap peas, cabbage and gravy.

Around 3 syns for gravy, and should be 2 for the carrot and swede except I didn't really eat much because the steamer ran out of water and it all tasted burned! I'll still count the syns though.

Snacks: 3 Cadburys caramel smuffins (1.5 syns). Slice of WW lemon cake (4 syns).

Should eat some more fruit I guess.

Fookinell · 17/06/2013 21:32

I think in Morrison's they sell Skinny Lizzy sausages, 1 or 2 syns each, I think, or some of the veggie sausages are free or very low syns.

muminthecity · 17/06/2013 21:36

melliebobs - Tesco Light Choices Cumberland sausages are only half a syn each and they're quite big and tasty. Sainsbury's Be Good To Yourself pork sausages are 1 syn each, as are weightwatchers sausages but I haven't tried either of those, so not sure how they taste.

muminthecity · 17/06/2013 21:39

Detective - Caramel muffins for only 1.5 syns?? What are they and where do I get them from? Grin

TheDetective · 17/06/2013 21:42

Smuffins!

Do you have the smuffins recipe? Add a highlighs sachet for the cadburys caramel! I think you are supposed to still add a muller light, but we didn't realise, so we added water to the mix, and they turned out fine. Next time I'll add a vanilla muller light and the sachet!

The quorn low fat ones are free - they have to be the low fat ones - says low fat on box - I've only found them in Sainsburys.

muminthecity · 17/06/2013 22:05

No, I've never heard of smuffins (I thought it was a typo BlushGrin.)

Is the recipe on the SW website?

damnitdamnit · 17/06/2013 22:24

Melliebobs - joes sausages online butchers are suppose to be free! But you have to order a lot or get together with friends/family. Otherwise try weight watcher ones I think they are 0.5 each. I also get low fat ones from local butcher and can tell they are low due to no fat coming out.

TheDetective · 17/06/2013 22:24

Smuffins!

Seperate 3 eggs and whisk the whites until they have stiff peaks.
Now add 8 or 9 tablespoons of sweetener to the yolks.
Now add Muller light of your choice to the yolks and mix well.
Now add 60g of Smash or Mr Mash instant powder and stir in slowly.
Next add a teaspoon of baking powder (0.5 syns)
Now fold the egg whites into the rest of the mix, make sure the instant mash is all soaked and mixed in well.
Put in silicone cake tray at 180deg and leave until golden brown.

iklboo · 17/06/2013 22:43

Curlywurlysareyum · 17/06/2013 22:45

Curlywurlysareyum · 17/06/2013 22:45

onceipopicantstop · 18/06/2013 07:18

Blondes - hadn't even occurred to me that spice powders might not be free! But that was a sw recipe and was definitely free!

I'm very jealous of the 3ib losers - I never seem to get over 2lbs. What's the secret??

Fookinell · 18/06/2013 07:37

My SW consultant Said" If the tweaks are working for you ,then keep using them" im not sure how that would go down at SW Headquarters. To be honest ive done a few but felt really guilty and didnt see the point, as i never ate kentucky fried chicken, pizza etc enough before SW to want to scoff them a lot before. The ladies at my group make them 2/3 times a week, some lose some dont...And some readymade spice mixes are syned.

damnitdamnit · 18/06/2013 08:24

4lb loss again for me this weekGrin, but was the same the first two weeks last year then 1lb a week each week after that Hmm. Going to try step up the exercise this week and try to walk to school at least once a day.

Onceiop- I find I only loose when I have drunk enough water as I quite often forget to keep drinking.

Blondes - I'm like you and recipes containing smash or quark and I don't bother Confused.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/06/2013 08:27

quark is yuk - people say its cheese- erm not its not !!!

cheese is cheddar or phil light if creamy Grin

i assume spices are free, like salt and pepper and chilli are

and cons are bad, thats how tweak police got started on fb sw group - some cons say fine - others say no - all should say the same!!!!
