I think on EE cos the first thing u do is fill 1/3 to half ur plate with super free u don't have much room for anything else even if it is free. N it's surprising that it does fill u up. But time will tell

TheYoniExpress · 16/06/2013 21:31

Fabulous thanks Blondes. I have just done my online food shop and added cottage cheese so I can give it a go!

Mellie I definitely need to be more careful to make sure I get the right proportions!

Laughalot I can't see pics on my phone so will have to look on proper computer - I am sure you look fab!

I am so pleased to have found this thread - you are all so supportive of each other !Smile

I clearly need to wean myself of exclamation marks!!!

Weigh in tomorrow night! It's not till 5pm or 7pm I got a funeral Tomo afternoon so I'm planning my food options now....

Breakfast - cereal and strawberries
Lunch - beef rice with a salad
Just hoping this isn't too much food weighing me down for my weekly weigh in!

I want 2lb off as I didn't weigh in last week xx

Today's food
No breakfast as slept till 11
Lunch - beef dinner (2 roasties 1 ypud and gravy - 10 syns)
Then tea coffees
2 ryvita hexb
Jelly and yogurt

Ignoring the hunger pangs now as its late!

Night all

Lets make this week a good one with great food choices x

I need help!!!

I picked a tomato, chilli and veg linguini from a Beefeater pub for dinner. It was 605 calories. So why the actual frig does the SW calculator say a 500g portion (I had to estimate as I don't have portion sizes!) to be 120 syns!!! It was clearly more than 100g (24 syns).

I'm nearly in tears here! Help! It did have cheese on top, but I scraped it off, and any that was left would be my HEA as I hadn't had it.

There was garlic bread with it - but this was included in the total calories.

So how many syns was it?!

B: 2 hi fi bars (desperate as been up all night with my 6 month old who refused to sleep - and wouldn't be put down, so couldn't actually make anything to eat) as HEB.
L: Small portion of left over vege chilli with rice. (All free stuff)
D: See above!!

SalaciousCrumb · 16/06/2013 22:12

Hi all, hope someone comes along to help with your syn problem Detective.

Daisy I agree, let's make this a good week.

I've been out for Father's Day indian buffet. Had salad poppadom lots of free rice, chick pea/potato curry followed by fruit. Didn't go mad!

Have a good week all. I find my good breakfasts are really helping - I had to work today and after my big breakfast had healthy extras of x3 ryvitas & cheddar that lasted me till dinner.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/06/2013 22:38

detective - garlic bread is very high on syns even for a small slice

the pasta should be free, unless cooked in oil, same with the tom sauce, tho they prob added oil :(

i ate there today as well, and almost chose that, but went for the chicken wrapped in bacon and cheese, as asked and was cooked in oven, so only decided to syn the cheese, as bacon and chicken free Grin

decided i cant worry about what syns it really was as i will never know, so kinda written today off - why dont you do the same?

daisy - you must eat properly, your body will think its being starved if you miss 2 meals, breakie and dinner :( even if you have a mugshot and some fruit thats better then nothing

Hello - been busy and off plan this week, but back on it now!

Yeah yo blondes - I too am hoping for 1lb loss this week!

laughalot - loving your photos and your DC are gorgeous!

On phone so too hard to scroll down, so big > to everyone else!

iklboo · 16/06/2013 22:46

Our counsellor has just found out we're 'Group of the District'. Best losses so far this year out of 50+ in the area!

Gotta go - SW chips are in the oven Grin

androbbob · 16/06/2013 22:50

Detective - garlic bread starter is 22 syns at Beefeater. I agree with Blondes, the pasta would be free - most of the weight would be pasta and a 500g portion would be 10 syns on its own, without any oil. I would just write it off and be careful with choices for rest of week to your WI. No point dwelling on it - it is unlikely to be 120 syns - that is not possible!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/06/2013 23:51

Androb - 'waves' we've missed you. Hope you get your lb this week :)

IsaacCox · 17/06/2013 07:58

Wow, Laughalot you look amazing. Well done! Cute kids too :)

Yesterday's food was-
B- bacon and egg sandwich (HEB) ketchup (1) fruit
L- chicken and bacon salad, tiny little bit of houmous (1)
Snacked on fruit all afternoon as was craving chocolate really bad. I did give in and had 2x freddos (10)
D- pasta and meatball bake, cheese on top (HEA)
4 mini meringues (3)

I really could have gone so far off the wagon yesterday. Glad I didn't though.

Not sure what I'm eating today yet. Have a great day all :)

melliebobs · 17/06/2013 08:27

Yesterday

B- 2 wheetabix (hex) mango, skimmed milk
D- whole meal wrap (8) salad, chicken
T- salmon, roasted veg, cous cous (1/2)

Snacks- 1 dohnut (too many syns) lots of tea

Exercise - looooots of decorating. Wallpapering to be precise

First weigh in today. I'm intrigued. Purposefully not been on a scale since monday Shock still getting my head round it & gone a bit far with syns so hoping all the exercise has helped Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/06/2013 08:30

good luck mellie :)

laughalot - that is true, working nights/weird hours really fucks up my body clock and sure doesnt help dieting - doing days for a few weeks now so hopefully will be easier eating at proper hours :)

izzybizzybuzzybees · 17/06/2013 08:49

det there is no way it was that many syns! And anyways a 100g portion of pasta is big. I doubt it was 500g!that would be a whole bag of dried pasta! No way did you have that much pasta!

I was naughty last night and had not one but two red velvet cupcakes and some amazingly weird but good peanut butter pretzels from Costco! Oops! Wi is tomorrow... Still hoping I can have a loss!

HolidayArmadillo · 17/06/2013 09:30

Another shift worker here! I find its a bloody nightmare, some days I eat 2 meals others I can end up eating 4. Never know where I'm at.

melliebobs · 17/06/2013 10:02

Whoop whoop 3lb loss. And that's with a Nandos and some Krispy Kreme. So it CAN be done.

Have to be careful this week n be a bit more savvy with the syns cos that loss is just from a few major tweaks. Once my body gets used to those it won't b able to cope with as many treats in one week Grin

IsaacCox · 17/06/2013 10:07

Well done mellie, that's great :)

TheYoniExpress · 17/06/2013 10:09

Wow well done Mellie!

I have first WI tomorrow - trying to be super duper good today!

For breakfast had scrambled eggs (eggs, herbs, salt and pepper and dash milk from HE allowance) on toast (HE) and beans, followed by a banana. Now feel very full Smile

TheYoniExpress · 17/06/2013 10:14

Finally able to see laughalot's pics - wow you look great! Your pics are really inspirational.

I have struggled to stick with diets before but seeing the difference in a real life person (as opposed to in a magazine, etc) helps to spur me on. Thanks for posting them Smile

Huffpot · 17/06/2013 12:50

Well done Mellie!

I am looking forward to WI this week - had a sneaky jump on my own scales and its showing a loss so hopefully heading in the right direction Smile

Been to the doc with a sore hip/back today and she thinks it might be SPD from the pregnancy hormones...bloody typical of my luck to get that and not even be pregnant anymore so am a bit disgruntled Sad

B: Pasta as didnt want to use my HEX
L: SW chips, egg, beans with fruit before for super free
D: Spag bol with smash garlic bread so I don't feel deprived when everyone else is tucking in Smile

HolidayArmadillo · 17/06/2013 14:17

Talk to me some more about smash garlic bread?

onceipopicantstop · 17/06/2013 14:20

Pasta for breakfast Huff? - that's true dedication to the plan! Grin
Well done Mellie - hope we all have such a good week!

Decided to have a green day today so
B- porridge (HEB) with water, strawberries, fromage frais and syrup (1 syn)
L- baked potato with egg mayonnaise (1syn), toms and cucumber, yogurt (3 syns)
T- butternut squash and lentil curry in the slow cooker, will have with sw chips instead of rice...because will use HEA milk allowance to make a rice pudding - yum!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/06/2013 15:37

armadillo -shifts work is awful - if i work a night im nibbling at 3am and then get home 7am and sleep so miss breakie and wake up at 11

mellie - well done on 3 lb loss :)

yoni - good luck with wi today

huff - how do you make smash garlic bread and dont tell the tweak police Grin

and pasta for breakie???????????????????????

onceipop - i have heard a lot about the bns/lentil curry, apparently really simple and just a tin of toms, onions, lentils and stock? is that right?

b weetabix and skim and blueberries
l spag bol and veg and raspberries
t no real time for tea as shopping after work, so prob boiled eggs and mugshot

OP posts:
minibmw2010 · 17/06/2013 18:05
