Dawndonna - that is odd!
Hopefully it comes off.....

Another day of me feeling so full - i may have to look at my portion sizes next week if i dont lose weight monday
Im having a whole pack of rice (batchelors) to myself for dinner and then having pasta for tea - i could be overdoing the carbs...?!?

nearly the weekend - thats where i struggle!
I need a cake or something or custard or rice pudding in my LIFE!!!

melliebobs · 13/06/2013 13:59

U having anything protein or veg/salad with your rice? If your not have that too I know it says it's free or whatever but away from slimming world its alot of calories. Have some chicken n veg n u won't need half the amount to feel full iyswim

BethAndHerBrood · 13/06/2013 14:19

Hi all. I've lost 1lb this week. Bit disappointed with it, tbh. Was hoping it would be more, as i have stuck to plan 100%.

Oh well. Another week over.

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/06/2013 14:47

Dawn - weight goes up and down each day so really should weight once a week at same time

Daisy - if you mean the packet rice then I spilt that into 3 portions normally - tho sometimes 2 - but would never eat all by myself iyswim

I normally add some
Extra veg like onions and peppers and then have with mince or salmon - yummy

Tho unlikely to overdo the carbs as I eat lots of pasta and rice - tho maybe you need to add something with it as tho free foods needs to be limited to a certain degree

Beth - well done

B weetabix and skim and fruit
L chicken salad and banana
T mince and veg and rice

Argh I've been forced out of politeness to eat an ice lolly today. I didn't want it or ask for it but they had bought me it and I felt obliged to eat it. Bah. 4 syns down the Swanee.

higgle · 13/06/2013 15:17

Congratulations to everyone - lots of weight loss since last week.
I'm another pound down - a bit disappointed but when I weighed myself again this morning it was 2 so should do a bit better this coming week.

B Bite sized shredded wheat with soy milk, strawberries and blueberries
L Box of salad, 4 ryvita, cottage cheese and an apple
D - will be pasta bake with lentils and mushrooms and a big salad, plus melon and pineapple.

I really hope I'm going to be 1/2 way ( 2 stone down, two to go) by the end of June. I need to lose 3 1/lb in just over a fortnight.

SalaciousCrumb · 13/06/2013 16:45

Well Done to losers this week, and we'll get there all of us who sts or gained.

I joined group last night, it's given me some much needed oomph. I like the group leader and got some much needed guidance.

Just heard my niece getting married in September. Would like to lose 2 stone by then. Does anyone think this is too ambitious?

SalaciousCrumb · 13/06/2013 16:48

Blondes my group leader said something about quiche last night. How do you make it?

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/06/2013 17:13

Quiche a la blondes

3 eggs
Cottage cheese low fat

Add chopped peppers onions and what ever flavour you want - tin of tuna - or chopped ham - or tin of salmon - chopped chicken - extra veg mushrooms etc for veggie option

Mix all together and put in square glass dish and cook for 30mins on 180

Yummy :)

Hello,can i join in please?
Im doing SW for the 2 time now. Joined a few years ago before Extra Easy and found Green/Original really easy and enjoyable, lost loads the first time but started back with new lady and EE and have really struggled <img loading="lazy" class="inline-flex mumsnet-emoji" alt="Sad" src="https://www.mumsnet.com/build/assets/sad-q5SIe0Cq.png">so much so that im doing just green now. I rejoined in Jan and hardly lost anything, i just couldnt get my head around EE. Now im back on green and in 1 month i have lost 1 stone. Those that go to group, how do you feel when you are there?

IsaacCox · 13/06/2013 17:59

I think you could definitely do that SalaciousCrumb. How many weeks away is it? 24 (lbs) divided by however many weeks it is right? It can't be that many lbs a week to lose :)

That quiche sounds lovely Blondes, will have to try it.

B- Clementines
L- Sandwich- 2 bread (HEB), sweet chilli sauce instead of butter (1 syn I think) cheese (HEA) and on the side lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber and pickled onions
More clementines!
D- Chicken pizza (flattened chicken breast topped with tomato puree, a bit of cheese (1.5 syns) spring onions, jalapenos, red pepper and cherry toms. Served with chips and salad

IsaacCox · 13/06/2013 18:05

Sorry! 28 lbs not 24 Blush

MindfulMe · 13/06/2013 18:05

Isaac, I'm on Green plan and am veggie so hard to switch to red I think. In any case I keep my carbs fairly low. I do think maybe the issue is that the change to my diet isn't massive. I have basically just cut out cheese! My bmi is about 24 I think and the lowest I should go is 8.12 so at 10.11 I'm very happy hat to get to 10. It's all very personal. I certainly don't look like a lollipop at 10Grin my husband is 2 and a half stone overweight but looks underweight! If anyone hears he is on a diet they laugh yet I am not technically overweight but they think I need to lose. Frustrating!

IsaacCox · 13/06/2013 18:06

Welcome Fookinell. Well done on your great loss :)

IsaacCox · 13/06/2013 18:08

Yes, you don't want to be doing red if you're a veggie :) Hmm not sure what to suggest sorry. I'm terrible with food that's why I need to lose 7 stone Grin

HeartOfDixie · 13/06/2013 18:18

Hello all. WI today and got my first 1/2 stone award today, yippppeeeee. But weirdly got slimmer of the week despite one other lady lost more than me?! Not complaining though, I love a sparkly sticker and fridge magnet!

Round of applause to us all!

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/06/2013 18:22

Fookinhell - welcome

Crumb / personally that's a bit ambitious for you and me depending when in sept / but that's 12 weeks away so be 2.5lbs every week sorry to piss on your bonfire :(

But any weight lost is good :) but prove me wrong and do it :)

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 13/06/2013 18:23

Well done Dixie for loss and sotw

You got it as you must have lost weight last week as well - where as woman this week may have lost more then you but last week she may have gained so this week not a true loss iyswim

Fookinell · 13/06/2013 18:23

Thanks Isaac, im not veggie, my body just cant process carbs and protein together so it`s easier for me to be mostly green or redSmile

IsaacCox · 13/06/2013 18:32

Ah right I see :)

I've just measured myself as my jeans are really big. I did it the day I started and now about 5 weeks on I have lost a total of 18 inches off my body Grin Very happy with that!

minibmw2010 · 13/06/2013 18:44

Blondes that quiche recipe looks really easy. Any specific amount of cottage cheese to use? Thanks

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/06/2013 19:01

I use a small tub - not sure of size sorry

You could make larger an use 6 eggs and large tub

Quiche Lorraine ie chopped ham is nice

But also love salmon and broccoli

onceipopicantstop · 13/06/2013 19:18

Have lost 2lbs which is great but feel strangely disappointed as have been soooo good this week and was hoping for a bit more! But as DH pointed out its heading the right way! Am off on hols in 10 days so will try and keep to plan and lose a few more lbs before we go Smile.

MrsHelsBels74 · 13/06/2013 19:41

Well didn't lose but didn't gain either so I'm happy (considering how much ice cream I ate on holiday!)

Littlemousewithcloggson · 13/06/2013 20:04

Well done to all the losers. I make quiche too, it's really filling. I line the container with lean ham or fat cut off bacon before putting the filling in to make a "crust" and use quark instead of cottage cheese with the eggs. Mushroom and onion is my favourite filling and I top it with a small amount of grated cheese (hea) and sliced tomatoes and serve with a salad.
Would also recommend a "pavlova" if you have a sweet tooth. Meringue made with egg whites and splenda topped with fat free natural greek yoghurt and just defrosted summer fruits.
