Hi all, I wi this morning and sts. No surprise I've not been very focused this week.

I am joining a local group on Wednesday evening to give me more push. Just need to do something.

Not an excuse Blush but I have been very busy organising the big summer raffle for the school.... have been distracted this week.

Just off to have breakfast.

bunchofbastards I'm having my bread with boiled eggs for breakfast too. Is it a sign of a bad day as you then go on to have too many HE? Good luck for today!

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/06/2013 09:25

Mrsf - welcome and good luck :)

Bunch and sal - I'm so bad at eating my a and b. I'm better having them for breakfast. Normally cereal and milk and fruit

Sal - sorry you sts :( but better then gaining if you haven't been that good

OctopusWrangler · 10/06/2013 10:01

I have my b for breakfast, either toast or cereal. If I don't I find I want all the evil carbs at bedtime.

I'm 4 syns down already today, coffee shop only had real butter for the toast:(

Making an effort to stay under 10 this week if I can, just to recoup a bit of the weekend.

Thanks for the words about Boo. He's not a bad boy, he's just a frustrated and possibly asd one. The assessment process is long and it's hard on everyone. We'll get there eventually.

Dawndonna · 10/06/2013 10:24

Weigh in today. Think I've done okay, the meds still make me eat loads, but I'm on melon, strawberries and grapes! Fingies crossed.
Good luck everybody else!

Congratulations on being an aunt, Beth!

OctopusWrangler · 10/06/2013 11:52

BethAndHerBrood · 10/06/2013 13:43

Thankyou for all your best wishes and Flowers much appreciated.

I am trying to avoid going on the scales at home, but it's hard when i want to know if all my effort is paying off!

You all seem very good at having your HE's. i don't always have my B's. is that a problem?

BethAndHerBrood · 10/06/2013 13:47

Oh, and daisy, i really want butterfly chicken and spicy rice now. Even though i have no idea what they are! Grin

I have never been to nando's. Sad

TheDetective · 10/06/2013 16:11

I don't always have my A, but B is easy as there are SO many different things you can have.

I don't like milk, and cheese I only like cooked in things. So I often end up having cheese on toast, or omelette with cheese, that kind of thing.

Today I skipped breakfast as I was asleep.
L: Small bowl of tomato and basil soup, with a cheese and onion toastie using my HEA & B. Apple afterwards.
D: Veggie chili, packed with superfree, it's got courgette, peppers, onion, mushroom, garlic, carrot, tomatoes, chilis. Plus speed foods in with kidney beans and quorn mince. :) Only down side is I'm using mozzarella on top which is 3 syns for 45g, and tortilla chips. 6 syns for 25g :( Will do a little rice so I eat less tortillas.

Regarding the syns - our consultant said it is more than fine to use them over a week. I usually use near my maximum, but if I have a couple extra, roll them over to the next day. A lot of people in our group use them in 1 or 2 goes, like with a take away and a night out. But I don't go out much, and prefer not to eat out. So I use mine on chocolate mostly, but do use a couple with my evening meal depending on what I fancy.

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 10/06/2013 18:47

I usually use my two HEs as the kids have their tea, as Ryvita and cheese spread. It keeps me going until we eat when they are in bed.

Tonight I ended up having cracker bread which will have to count as Syns.

TheDetective · 10/06/2013 18:49

OMG. 7 tortilla chips are 25g. 6 syns. Errrrm, no, I don't think so! Not worth it!

Sticking to rice, and no cheese. So dinner will be syn free after all!

Dawndonna · 10/06/2013 19:17

Just got back and managed a loss of 3lbs. Hurrah!

BethAndHerBrood · 10/06/2013 19:24

Well done dawn that's a great loss!

Do you follow EE or red and green?

Dawndonna · 10/06/2013 19:37

Thank you. I do EE most of the time. I never diet on a Monday. I suspect I could lose 4lbs if I did, but it's what keeps me on track, if I fancy it, I think: I can have it on Monday! Seems to work for me most of the time.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/06/2013 20:14

Daisy - enjoy concert and good menu choice

Beth - I'm crap with my a and b's - a normally cheese but b unless have roll or cereal for breakie then often miss forget them

Dawn - well done on loss :)

B weetabix b and skim a and banana
L chicken salad and pear
T chilli prawn linguini grapes

S melon boiled egg - salad dressing 5

iklboo · 10/06/2013 20:28

0.5 LOSS!!! I'm flabbergasted. I was expecting a gain (DH gained 2lb). Got my 2.5 stone award tonight. Yay! Smile

melliebobs · 10/06/2013 21:06

Hiya. Having a stab at SW out of curiosity more than anything. Anyway i have a question that I don't seem to find an answer for online.

So you pick a healthy extra b which is basically something high in fibre and I have a nice long list of stuff u could have and their weights. Lovely jubbly.
But take today for example. I've had nothing off that list. BUT I had a whole meal wrap at lunch which after looking up is 8 syns. Fair dos. But surely that could be part of my heb and some syns too but less than 8 iyswim?!

If that's the case how many syns could I knock off?!

muminthecity · 10/06/2013 21:13

Well done Dawn and iklboo.

My first gym session was great, I did an hour; 15 mins on treadmill, 20 on cross trainer, only managed 8 on the bike and then did 100 stomach crunches, a few goes on the pushy-outy leg machine (technical term there Grin) and 20 of the arm lifty-uppy thing (again, very technical!) I sweat buckets, my legs felt like jelly afterwards and I expect I'll be a bit stiff tomorrow! I enjoyed it though, can't wait to go back.

Today I have eaten:-

B - Banana and satsuma
L - Turkey burger and Greek salad (HExA for the feta)
D - Pepsi max chicken with noodles and salad
Snacks - 2 muller lights

I've only used 2 syns for salad cream and not had my HExB yet. Will probably have 2 hi-fi bars in a while but don't think I will have any more syns cos I'm just not hungry at all Confused.

muminthecity · 10/06/2013 21:15

Welcome melliebobs. I'm afraid I don't know the answer to your question but I'm pretty sure we are not allowed to count wraps, pittas or any other bread products as our HExB though I don't know why! Sorry.

melliebobs · 10/06/2013 21:18

And just to share today

B - pineapple, mango and papaya
Glass of water
3 grilled bacon all fat trimmed, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, 2 fried egg with fry light, 1/4 tin of baked beans

L - whole meal wrap with tuna (in spring water) with spinach, spring onion, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, orange pepper and low fat salad dressing (less than 40kcal per 100ml)

D - chicken, new potato, spinach n red onion frittata/omelette. Side salad of spinach, lettuce, cucumber, orange pepper, spring onion n low fat salad dressing

Snacks - few spoonfuls of 0% fat vanilla yoghurt. (1/2 a Syn approx after a bit of googling)

Grin
melliebobs · 10/06/2013 21:19

How interesting. I thought if it was whole meal I'd be onto a winner. Even if I could just knock some off. Hey ho

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/06/2013 21:20

Well done ikiboo :)

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 10/06/2013 21:24

MEL. A and b's work out 6 syns - technically you aren't allowed to do that if the product doesn't have enough fibre - but some do

Same with my sb's - love them and they are 10syns but if I have one then I count it as 4syns if I haven't had my a iyswim
