Thanks Blondes, I wondered if they would be nice and whether just to use my (unused so far today) heA. I'll do that then I think. But from scratch now as I CBA to go out and get a cheese sauce mix Blush Would you maybe put the blue cow triangles in to make it a bit cheesier? The low blue cheese ones? They all rave about them at the SW meetings I go to!

How a you doing anyway and how was the holiday? Grin

Lollyheart · 04/06/2013 17:34

Hi all, wi in the morning.

Been a good week apart from Saturday night I went to a party and had two cakes Blush I'm really craving cake and I'm not really a cake person.

Just on the scales this morning and need half a pound for my 1st half stone. Hoping I've done that today .

B muller light with an orange
L a mug shot and a bananna
T boiled egg salad

EggsMichelle · 04/06/2013 19:55

Iv tried the SW lasagne and it was gross! The mix turned into scrambled egg and omlet layers!

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/06/2013 21:02

Exactly eggs - oh wasn't impressed to have scrambled eggs in his lasagne

I'm going to do the pebble jar thing, I think it's a great idea.

Whoever mentioned the frozen pineapple, it's fabulous and apart from last week, it's an amazing 'go to' for a quick sweet hit.

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 04/06/2013 21:32

Mmm - has anyone tried the LowLow Mature Cheddar Spread? 60g for a HE, and it is gorgeous. Would work as a sauce too, I think, if you heated it a bit.

tigerdriverII · 04/06/2013 22:08

Hello all. Can I sneak back? I have been SWing but haven't done much posting....

Started SW in late Sept. I've now lost 2 Stone 3 lbs, and have 2 stone 4 lbs to target. So I am a tortoise not a hare. Just come back from a weeks hols and delighted to have lost a pound (lots of pasta and beer!!). Even better, I had to buy a dress while away ( thank you, Lufthansa for losing my luggage!) and I ended up with a smaller size than I thought : result!

I eat out quite a lot, for work and because we are often away, so if anyone wants any tips, happy to share.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/06/2013 22:11

Welcome back tiger - fantastic loss so far. Well done

As losing weight after holiday Envy

Hi all have had a good day again today and feeling back in the zone.

B - frozen fruit (defrosted), porridge made with water (HEB), fromage frais and drizzle of golden syrup
L - salad, new pots, ham
T - jacket pot, salmon fillet and veg
snacks - apple, cherries, 2 yoghurts

By the way - sorry if TMI - is anyone finding they're more constipated since starting SW? I can't understand it as eating really healthily (obviously) and having tons of fruit and veg etc. Can eggs be a cause as definitely eating more of those?!

muminthecity · 04/06/2013 22:24

Well I had a shock at WI tonight, actually managed a loss! Only 1.5lb but still, any loss is good! Also got Slimmer of the Month for May so feeling pretty good now Grin.

Blondes - The tuna fritters are really easy. Empty a tin of tuna and a tin of sweetcorn into a bowl. Par-boil 4 potatoes, peel and then grate into the bowl. Add some chopped chives, parsley and coriander, season, and add a beaten egg. Mix together with your hands and form into little patties. Spray with fry-light and cook in the oven at 190 for about 20 minutes. I cooked them for a bit longer than that though, as I prefer them a bit crispy.

tigerdriverII · 04/06/2013 22:32

once, maybe drink a bit more? I did have this at the beginning and def had one bad WI where I'm sure another lb should have come off..,,I don't drink much water but I drink lots of redbush tea and I think it helps.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/06/2013 22:55

Popping back in. Maintained today. I bought a twelve week pass, the 100 extra easy days book and the magazine. I will get a free little book of lunches too for buying the pass so that's good ad well.

Been a bit naughty today as had pizza for tea but will be extra good to make up for it!

BlueGoddess · 05/06/2013 07:55

Those tuna fritters sound lovely - will give those a go, definitely.

Fingers crossed for WI today - I'll be happy with a maintain.

BadRoly · 05/06/2013 11:15

STS which is good considering my major wobble at the moment. Going to start writing it all down again and get back to meal planning. Smile

higgle · 05/06/2013 11:15

Hello all - I have been going to SW since Mid March and have lost just over 1 1/2 stone, 2 1/2 to go. My weight loss has been a stead 1 to 2 lb a week. I've noticed that some of the others in the group who have had big losses in the first few weeks seem despondent when it all slows down or stops for a while, so hopefully slow and steady is the best way to go. I've found it much easier to modify my existing recipes to be SW friendly than use the ones in the magazine. As 2 veggies one who only easts chicken and fish and with DH being coeliac cooking for all us is difficult enough to begin with. I did get the little book of sauces last week which has some nice ideas.

My leader is good but the group is large and she always has new people to sign up which tends to delay the start of meetings a bit, and I do find it very boring after a while listening to all of the group detailing their losses and gains and reasons. I try to stay every week because you do learn from the others present - and there are quite a lot at target, which is inspirational.

BadRoly · 05/06/2013 11:16

Oh and of course well done Daisy! Grin

BadRoly · 05/06/2013 11:16

Ah and hello Higgle Smile

TheDetective · 05/06/2013 11:37

Today I found out that if you cook fruit it is syns. Gutted! Was going to put some puree apple and cinnamon in my porridge! Settled for just the cinnamon Grin and also made it with hazelnut milk.

I've done a food diary this week, and it looks really excessive. My consultant queried if I was eating enough because I had said that I was sticking to it 100% all the time, and yet I hadn't lost the 'guaranteed 2lb a week'. Apart from my inital 2 big losses, I have lost 1.5lb, lost 2lb, gained 1lb. And judging by my scales this week, I will have lost 1.5-2lb (if I am very lucky - WI tomorrow). So that will be 5-5.5lb lost in 4 weeks. I should be losing more.

I am relatively sedentary at the moment due to being on maternity leave, and post birth problems. I am walking more, but I know it isn't enough. I feel I am eating too much for the amount of exercise I am doing.

Have considered trying WW as as far as I can tell they take your levels of activity in to account?

Am I just being silly?

higgle · 05/06/2013 12:12

I think with SW you just have to accept their sometimes odd way of looking at things and accept them. I must admit that when I read that if I mashed my banana onto my dry toast the banana had to be synd but not if I just ate them together I decided to ignore that bit of nonsense.
The whole package just seems to work, and work better than anything else I've tried, so I'll be sticking with it.

Lollyheart · 05/06/2013 13:08

3lb off this week, yay, so 7 and a half in two weeks Smile.

Well done to all of the losers.

LollipopViolet · 05/06/2013 13:20

3lb off for me today, getting my much coveted 1 stone award and Slimmer of the Week :)

Very, very happy. I'm off out for a meal with friends tonight, and intend to dress to impress as some of them haven't seen me since before I started losing :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/06/2013 15:26

Izzy. Well done for sts

Blueg& huff - hope wi was nice to you

Daisy - fab loss

Roly - well done sts

Detective - not everyone loses 2lbs a week - I'm a lb a week girl generally - unless been really bad or really good :)

So 5.5lbs in 4 weeks is fine

Think of it as a lb a week = 4stone in a year

Well done both lolly and lolli

B weetabix skim and banana - a+b
L tuna and new potato salad - pear
T burger 6.5 cabbage and carrot@swede mash
