The Detective Have you upped your excersize this week?

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/05/2013 16:38

Horse - welcome and yes harder being at home ad being good then at work

Crumb / I'm trying to be focused but hard with weird hours I'm doing for work so alas I'm never at the gym - yet paying a monthly membership :(

Lolly. Glad sw going well and I love diet coke chicken tho nicer with Pepsi max

Mouse. Cheese spread sounds nice but I can't get get to grips with quark :(

Huff. Well done on loss

Beaky. You can't weigh each day and tbh weight does go up and down daily so it's only a true result if you weigh at same time weekly

Laugh a lot - you have done so well Envy well done :)

Obrigada. You will get there - age doesn't Matter

Detective. You lost a stone in 5 weeks that's fab :)

A healthy loss is a lb a week so you are well under that target

I hope to lose a lb tomorrow after my 5lb gain from
Holiday :( but been a hard week as wedding and ate bread and cheese and that's all they did not to mention the gins I drank ........

HeartOfDixie · 30/05/2013 17:03

5lb for me this week so really please but know the hard work comes further down the line when the losses slow up! Only 4.5 stone to go.....

MrsHelsBels74 · 30/05/2013 20:56

3.5lb for me at first weigh in. I feel a bit deflated, I think I was expecting more as the change to my eating habits has been drastic so I was (unrealistically) expecting dramatic results straight away.

Tell me it's a good start, that rapid weight loss is unhealthy & unsustainable???

Curlywurlysareyum · 30/05/2013 22:48

hels - I have never lost more than 3.5 in a week and average at 1.5 per week. 13 weeks lost 1.5 stone. Slow and steady wins the race!! Good to chip away at it and look at the big picture. I admire people who lose big amounts but our metabolisms are all different. Just keep thinking positive. 3.5 is a fantastic loss :)

TheDetective · 30/05/2013 22:53

Pissed off. 1lb on. WTF?

Totally sticking to this, so why?

I mean, I did need a poo Grin but still.... Blush

Feeling crappy right now, as there is nothing I can change. This week I stuck to 10 syns a day, and ate more superfree with my meals.

Confused

B: Banana and muller light
L: Cheese and bacon on toast with grilled mushrooms and tomatoes.
D: Veg soup (homemade syn free) packed with loads of veg.

Syns today are noodles 9.5 syns and a hi life bar which was 3 syns.

I've had some grapes and peaches.

Littlemousewithcloggson · 30/05/2013 23:51

Isaac I use quark to make carbonara sauce for pasta so would imagine that the Stilton quark would be a great pasta sauce too.

Littlemousewithcloggson · 30/05/2013 23:59

Detective why don't you try doing all or some original days this week for a change? I lost a lot in my second week by doing this. I seem to be able to eat anything on sw and lose weight apart from a lot of pasta and starchy veg and I think that's quite common. Might be worth a try?

TheDetective · 31/05/2013 00:29

Is original meat? I don't eat much meat, just chicken really. Bit of bacon, and only one kind of ham. I'm so adventurous Grin. I mainly use quorn or chicken to cook meals with.

LollipopViolet · 31/05/2013 10:50

Well, I've had breakfast (I use my healthy extras and have cereal and milk) and am now trying to think of something to have for lunch. Might have a Rice Fusion thingy and a jacket spud, or maybe try and cook some noodles again...

(Yes, I can somehow undercook plain old egg noodles... does that make me incompetent in the kitchen? Grin)

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/05/2013 13:44

Well done heart and mrsbells for fab losses

Detective :( but you have done so well

I'm a bit pissed off. Sts and my first week back on it but obv The wedding and cheese/bread they had to eat there and the gin I drank was too much

How can one really bad day make so much difference when been good for rest of week :(

Had a yummy chicken salad from shop earlier - lots of super free foods in it :)

laughalot · 31/05/2013 19:42

1lb off this week. Blondes Sad like yo ay one bad night and it shouldnt go to pot.

laughalot · 31/05/2013 19:43

that should say like you say !!!

LollipopViolet · 31/05/2013 20:24

Made the most amazing chicken fillets for my dinner tonight! Paprika, all spice, onion salt, garlic, salt and pepper in a bag, pop the chicken in, shake it, then cook. Gorgeous. Used an oven proof bag so kept all the juice in. It was like those Maggi's things, but nicer because I could pick my own spices :)

Curlywurlysareyum · 31/05/2013 21:03

blondes I find any week I have a night out I sts or can gain. One disadvantage for sure about this diet (well for me anyway). I feel I'm putting my life on hold til I get this weight off.

muminthecity · 31/05/2013 21:14

Well done to all the losers.

Today has been my worst day so far since I started SW and I feel really shit about it Sad. Stayed at a friends last night and was out all day with her and our DCs. I ate the following:

Bacon sandwich for breakfast (Streaky bacon, white bread, ketchup.)
Ham sandwich and crisps for lunch (Picnic)
Indian Takeaway for dinner (Naan bread, bahjis, korma and rice)

Snacks have included 3 Blush hot doghnuts and an ice cream with flake and choc sauce at the fair.

Seeing it all written down is even more depressing. Why did I have to be such a pig today?! There's no way I'll get my 2 stone award on Tuesday now, and I was so close! Sad

Littlemousewithcloggson · 31/05/2013 21:57

Detective I don't eat a lot of meat either and I have to plan with original but it seems to work. I have a lot of weight to lose and am in my 40 s but have lost 1 st 3lbs in 3 weeks. I am doing 3 extra easy days ( on work days) and 4 original days a week. My consultant suggested doing this to give a fast start and has also advised people to try if they have had a couple of slow weeks.
Today I have eaten-
Fat free yoghurt, fruit and Allen light bar (heb) for breakfast.
Cheese (hea) and onion omelette with salad and ice lolly (4 syns)
Chicken wrapped in bacon with new potatoes (heb), baby corn and courgettes. Followed by pavlova made with syn free meringue, fat free yoghurt and summer fruits.
Only 4 syns for the day so room for another 11!
On original you get 2 a and 2 b choices which suits me as I drink a mountain of coffee and always use milk as an a choice!

Littlemousewithcloggson · 31/05/2013 21:59

That should have read ALPEN bar btw!

SalaciousCrumb · 31/05/2013 22:13

Hi all

blondes - you will lose next week, sts is still good

Well done helsbels & heart on losses

Well done laughalot

Detective I remember Blondes once said she lost 5lb after a number 2!! Could have been it, and you sound to me like you are doing really well

I am pleased that I have stuck to this since Monday and hope for a good loss on Monday when I wi. I tried my size 14 shorts on today and can't get them done up. By August when we go on holiday I hope at least to be able to wear them.

I have snacked on pasta and couscous, quite starchy but filling and has stopped me reaching for chocolate, crisps etc.

I have to work tomorrow and taking a tuna salad for lunch, planning is key.

Interestingly with this diet bread is very limited. Good thing for me as it's my downfall!

Have a good weekend all

dizzieblond · 31/05/2013 22:26

Hi there,

Hope its ok for me to join. I decided to join S/W last week as my weight has just gone up and up. Im 5ft 4 and tipped the scales at 16st. My Hubby has joined me, as his weight too has rocketed, and our 1st WI last Weds morning was great, with a loss of 4.5lbs for me and 5.5lbs for himself.

Curlywurlysareyum · 31/05/2013 22:52

Well done dizzie - it's a great diet you will def like it

salicious yes the bread thing hard at first - I def think that's the key to sw. I found at the beginning I craved bread something shocking!! Now I have some at weekends as my heb or syn the odd bit of nimble. But I miss crusty, baguettes etc

littlemouse that's interesting cos I've only ever done extra easy but think with every half stone loss my body slows down at losing weight. I might get my other books out and read them. A wee change sometimes not a bad thing to kick me into cacti on again.

Been struggling past few days - wanting DH and ds's sweets etc - found myself popping chocolate into my mouth earlier without noticing. Thought I'd got out of all those bad habits.

Curlywurlysareyum · 31/05/2013 22:53

Cacti on - meant action !!

LollipopViolet · 01/06/2013 12:38

See, I don't REALLY miss bread. But I caught a bit of Saturday Kitchen this morning.

Hollowed out cob loaf, stuff with salad, roasted peppers, onions, courgettes and lots of other lovely stuff.

I wanted it SO badly.

Anyway...

I just do Extra Easy, because so far, it's worked well for me, and I find the Green/Original thing a bit confusing.

I mostly snack on raspberries, blueberries, Activia 0% fat yoghurts (free) and the occasional HiFi bar.

Going to an earlier weigh in session this week as I've been invited out for a meal in the evening. Trying to get a plan in place regarding what to have but it's a bit tricky. Will ask my consultant on Wednesday I think.

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 01/06/2013 12:53

Been half on and half off plan the last couple of days - been away. Tea was fine - fish and veg/salad, no dressing both days. Breakfast also fine. However, lunches went to pot - pasta with salsa verde and some focaccia one day, then bloody baguette with mozzarella yesterday. I did take the top off and eat it like an open sandwich though.

I wasn't going to eat desserts, but ending up snaffling the following from DH and DS - a macaroon, some unwanted ice cream, a mini churro. And I had a choc ice - 1970s kid!

So, should be working hard to get back on track. Shame it's my birthday tomorrow....

Dawndonna · 01/06/2013 16:51

Am having a day where I can't stop putting stuff in my mouth. I think it's my new meds. I will get used to them, but this is driving me nuts!
