I've started a couple of other posts re this - I'm now confused as to whether to start sleep training or not and whether its teething, growth spurt etc etc

SO - quick question....

DID YOUR LO SLEEP THROUGH THE NIGHT AT 6 MONTHS? By sleep through I mean 7/8pm until at least 5am??

Yes or No would be great along with times....

OP posts:

no to all three
Two out of three had promising one offs though
the other was seemingly not in need of any sleep

ChasingSquirrels · 07/03/2008 19:50

yes - 7pm to 5am from 5mo, but then he stopped doing so at 8mo and it was about 20mo until he was sleeping through again.

yousaidit · 07/03/2008 19:50

TheProdigalShow · 07/03/2008 19:51

FrannyandZooey · 07/03/2008 19:51

pickie · 07/03/2008 19:51

Ds No way would wake up every 3-4 hours if I was lucky

DD slept through from 7 to 7 at 6 weeks

fryalot · 07/03/2008 19:52

none of the three of them, no.

I'm only glad that the younger ones appear to be sleeping through before they get to six years old

Eddas · 07/03/2008 19:53

DiscoDizzy · 07/03/2008 19:57

yep, for both DD's

7.30-7.30

Seona1973 · 07/03/2008 19:59

Yes - dd from 5 1/2 months but we 'encouraged' her in that direction (read too many books I think)

No - ds took till 8 months but it was easier to feed and put him back to bed than try to fight with him in the middle of the night. I did start reducing the amount of his feed from 6 months though so he would take more in the day.

ProfYaffle · 07/03/2008 19:59

dd1 nope, was 9 months

dd2 nope, is 12 months and sleeps through about 60% of the time.

sophiewd · 07/03/2008 20:01

Yes,from 7 but used to wake up when we went to bed for a feed and then she slept until 7 from 12 weeks

6 months both were (I think) doing 7pm to 7am up once about 4 or 5am

8/9 months both were doing 12 hours

Botbot · 07/03/2008 20:10

From 3-6 months, she slept 7pm-7am. I was v. smug.

At 6 months, she suddenly started waking up again. That taught me.
