msappropriate i'm the same i take ages to get back to sleep. i think that's why wakings close together really do me in, i just get backto sleep, and we're awake again. LO usually settles really well in the evening which is a blessing. its just the staying asleep part that he has had trouble with.

tibsy · 30/06/2007 20:12

evening ladies
for megs nap and improved nights
for ginger' early morning. i feel your pain sister
tam for worsening sleep patterns. i keep thinking i must get my arse back into gear, but havent bothered with dd teething. they were doing so well werent they? ah well
amber and ms, am sending you and everyone sleepy vibes for tonight

Amberjee · 30/06/2007 20:23

hi tibs, sleep vibes back your way too. going to try to retire quite early (after my cup of tea and obligatory MN surf)

Tamdin · 30/06/2007 22:35

ginger you always make me laugh 'scrabbling around for dummy in the dark'. do you know how many times i've done that!
also the avent clicky handle thing is sooooo true but ds actually enjoys clicking them now and it seems to be some sort of sleepy/hynotic thing so avent dummies it is!
anyway off to bed. night

tibsy · 01/07/2007 08:20

morning all!!!!

guess what?.......... sleep reigned supreme in the tibsy household last night!!!!!
dd slept from 8pm til 5.15am

hope everyone else managed to get some zzzzzzzzzzz's too

tibsy · 01/07/2007 08:21

amber, i think it must have been those sleep vibes you were sending my way

Tamdin · 01/07/2007 08:21

morning
not too bad a night here. ds went to bed no probs at 7.30. woke at 11 when i went in and so came in with us. woke at 2 for bottle and then 7
has serious aversion to cot atm but we've been here before and then he's gone back to it so am trying to go with the flow and have faith it'll come back around.
another crappy weather day here. as PK would say 'the kind of rain that gets you really wet!'

Tamdin · 01/07/2007 08:23

OH MY GOD TIBS. soooooooooooooooooooooooooo pleased for you. is that her 1st through the night?
please don't leave me

bagsundereyes · 01/07/2007 08:34

morning all,

tibs that is faaaaaaabulous! very pleased for you all. long may it continue.

glad yours wasn't a shocker either, tam.

our night was very respectable - slept 9-3 , then grizzling and clamouring for dummy 5.45-7. so i guess really that's just one waking.

i do hope everyone else had a good night too.

tibsy · 01/07/2007 08:35

hi tam

tibsy · 01/07/2007 08:36

Tamdin · 01/07/2007 08:37

yes have a dinner/little party to go to for our friend john's 33rd birthday. The rest of them will be heading out about 11pm to a club but we'll be leaving about 8 to bring ds home. how times have changed!

tibsy · 01/07/2007 08:48

sounds nice. ooooohhhh, i'll be 33 in september....... i remember when i was just getting ready to go out at 11pm

Tamdin · 01/07/2007 08:51

i know tibs. now 11 feels like a late night. how sad

Amberjee · 01/07/2007 08:55

tibs yay yay yay! good for you. i'll send you sleep vibes every night if you want.
we also had a good night. feeds at 2am and 6am, chattered for a bit, then fellback to sleep until 8. nice! pity for dh's snoring after he came back from night out though.
LO is a great mood now as he actually had good sleep.

hello tamdin, hello bags, glad the nights seem reasonable last night.

Tamdin · 01/07/2007 09:01

morning amber and bags. for your better nights. now all we need is some sunshine and all would be right with the world

tibsy · 01/07/2007 09:04

amber for your good night and ...keep them sleep vibes coming sister

dh and his snoring, grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! dp does that if he's had a few 'shandys' i usually end up prodding/kicking him to roll over

Amberjee · 01/07/2007 10:14

lots of prodding and kicking here last night

Amberjee · 01/07/2007 12:46

what's EP up to this weekend? hasn't made an appearance ..

Tamdin · 01/07/2007 12:47

hopefully not slogging away on our BLOG
was thinking the same this morning that she hasn't been around much. may have dreamt this but did she say they were going to stay with friends for the weekend (?)

MegBusset · 01/07/2007 13:26

Afternoon and yay for good nights (especially yours, Tibsy ).

Ours was OK again, bed at 8, obligatory flail at 8.30, then fed at 10.30, then woke at 1.30 and was unsettled until 3 (fed somewhere in there) because of stuffy nose, then slept til 6, then in with us til 8.30.

However, in a new turn of events he has started refusing to nap in the pram - the last two days we have taken him out around naptime and he has had a screaming shit fit and had to be rushed home and put to sleep in cot!

I think the problem is a) he now expects to be in cot to sleep, and b) he is really too big for the carrycot bit of the Bugaboo (his feet practically touch the end of it). I started a thread on whether it's too soon to put him in the stroller bit, actually - says from 6 months (he is only 4.5mo) but he is bigger than some 6mo babies I know! But he can't sit up yet, which I guess is the issue...

Tamdin · 01/07/2007 14:24

meg we have the bugaboo gecko and i would have thought if you keep it in the most tilted position then it would be fine. let's face it have you seen the way some people put tiny babies in mcclarens so they're all slumped. it makes me want to cry when i see it

Amberjee · 01/07/2007 15:48

maybe ep is at a friends, i have a memory like a sieve!

meg, i changed bugaboo cameleon over at 5 months, and it was fine. actually LO was much happier in it after that.

Amberjee · 01/07/2007 18:58

ps. meg, after refusing to nap in pram for a few months, LO will now do it happily, although always wakes after 30-45 mins.

Amberjee · 01/07/2007 19:00

Sending sleepy vibes to everyone (just in case it works). Here's to another sleeping through the night tonight Tibs ....
