No not poorly or teething. I managed to get 5 hours but he woke up at 5 and he's doing the same thing. I really hope this isn't permanent

FrozenMargarita17 · 22/05/2018 07:09

@Meepmoop it's a bit of a stretch but what about a mobile that projects on to the ceiling? Keep him laying down and quietly watching?

Bartos · 22/05/2018 07:49

Terrible night. Back to square zero. Multiple wake ups. I've no idea how many times I got out of bed. She seemed really uncomfortable. Didn't manage 1hour sleep... So tired. Might be a milestone... She was really grumpy yesterday during day. For no apparent reason... She has been making new sounds and seems interested in talking. One of the times I went to her overnight she was trying to pull herself up in the cot, like trying to sit, it was really weird, I had never seen her doing that. Let's see how the day /night goes. I was so happy with my 6 times wake ups overnight...

morethantired · 22/05/2018 08:11

Feeling everyone's pain. 3 month old never winds well after a bottle, had 2 in the night and then was up for ages after squirming! She's still asleep now though and I'll have to wake her to take 4 year old to school soon!! 2 year old woke at 1:45 and 3:15.

Meepmoop · 22/05/2018 08:32

@FrozenMargarita17 thats a good idea I had one when he was born but he didn't pay attention to it and then it broke. He likes staring at the one at baby sensory though so worth a try.

I dreamt that DS slept through the night! Sadly it was just a dream

MummyCuddlesSolveEverything · 23/05/2018 07:39

tealandtealsounds like a lovely dream, I wouldn't want to wake up from that.

Ds did well yesterday evening woke up once or twice between 7:30 and 1030. Then was up lots in the night, he was warm so I took his sleeping bag off but he still kept stirring and rooting for milk most of the night. He's still asleep now and he hasn't slept this late in months. He's so unpredictable!

Bartos · 23/05/2018 08:19

Another terrible night. She is so restless. I gave her calpol around 21h, it seemed to help a bit. I'm not sure. I think it's the teeth, but the heat doesn't help as well. Only one tooth is coming out that I can see, I can't see it but I can feel it up the gum with my finger. Could that tooth be bothering her? When it's more painful, when it hasn't surfaced at all or when it's ripping through the gum until all out? What do you do to help baby be more comfortable while teething?

justanotheruser18 · 23/05/2018 08:56

Leap 7 though. Fml.

Meepmoop · 23/05/2018 11:36

@Bartos I find DS is worse before the tooth comes through. He's often grumpy and then it appears a week after. I found Calpol didn't really help but Nurofen works like magic.

We had a good night he slept 7hours and then 3 with an hour wake up in between.

MummyCuddlesSolveEverything · 23/05/2018 21:34

My mum and sister have come over to watch a film while DH is at work...so of course I'm sat upstairs with ds while they watch the film.
He's woken up 4 times so far.
Not fair.

Meepmoop · 24/05/2018 20:26

Well DS has been a clingy crying baby all day and has woken up after 30mins.. not looking great for me.

Hope everyone else is doing well

tealandteal · 24/05/2018 21:15

We're on wake up number 2 and DH has to got up at 4.30 to get the train to Cardiff Dorset work Angry

tealandteal · 24/05/2018 21:15

*for work! No trips to Dorset

Bartos · 24/05/2018 21:51

3 wake ups so far... Not a good predictor for the night. Stay strong ladies!

Meepmoop · 25/05/2018 01:02

Third wake up, only an hour since the last. I've given him some neurofen to see if that helps him sleep.

justanotheruser18 · 25/05/2018 03:48

Arrrrrrrrgh. I've been up with my little nightmare since 1230. I want to throw myself out of the window. OH sleeping peacefully. Fuck my fucking life.

bigsighall · 25/05/2018 03:57

@justanotheruser18 sorry to hear you’re having a bad night Flowers

justanotheruser18 · 25/05/2018 08:17

Thank you @bigsighall
Everything is always better in the light of day.
2-4am is my worst time.
But then so is 12-2 because the night is still so long.

Was contemplating giving self a hysterectomy with coat hanger.

Hope you all got a bit of sleep.

Remember when TGIF meant something?

tealandteal · 25/05/2018 15:09

This morning I napped when DS did, after DH waking at 4.30, just got back to sleep and DS wakes at 5.30. Morning nap was only 45 minutes. So I thought I won't bother to try and got some sleep during his afternoon nap, I'll do a few bits of cleaning etc. 2 hours later he is still asleep!

MummyCuddlesSolveEverything · 25/05/2018 18:50

Well last night was awful. DS has got a tummy bug, which I've now got. About 45 minutes sleep last night, ah was useless. He made fun of me crying, which upsets me the most. And just to make things even better Ds has started biting while feeding. Dreading tonight so much.

Bartos · 25/05/2018 19:19

@MummyCuddlesSolveEverything that's terrible! Make sure not to wash your hands to see if he gets it as well!

Well, we are off to a terrible night it seems. Yesterday never slept more than 1hour,and that was rare. Today she already woke up twice, crying heavily, second time screaming like I never saw, a all new level, DH came in even... She was fine during day and is now sleeping in my arms. Sometimes she moves but generally she seems fine... I tried to get her to burp but nothing happened apart from her screaming more. Weird... Its not normal. But sleeping on me she seems fine!

MummyCuddlesSolveEverything · 25/05/2018 21:19

bartos he made fun of me before I got ill but still not on. He has a mental health condition that can be triggered by lack of sleep, but he was just being able arsehole. As terrible as it sounds it would be good if he got it, but he would be so insufferable.
Hope your Dd is ok. DS has just woken up screaming after sleeping for 2hours, now he's sleeping on me.

Hope everyone else is having a better night.

MummyCuddlesSolveEverything · 25/05/2018 21:20

*total not able

Meepmoop · 26/05/2018 06:34

We had 5 wake ups last night. I really thought I was starting to get somewhere as they had dropped down two.

DH had to go into work at 4am and is going to have to work all weekend as they've had breakdowns. I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself.

Sorry to hear others have had rubbish nights to
