Yoohooo! Over here!

The last thread was filling up so I've started us a sparkling new one.

The original thread was to support those of us with babies fitting the following criteria:

  1. Feeds frequently daytime
  2. Feeds frequently nighttime
  3. Needs to be constantly held
  4. Wont sleep alone
  5. Hates the car seat/pram
  6. Short naps

Some of our babies have grown out of some of those now, but we're still here to support each other through the sleepless nights and noisy car journeys and to offer hugs, chocolate and wine to anyone who's struggling.

So if that list sounds familiar then come and join us as we delight in our active, inquisitive, curious and restless babies or toddlers!

I have managed a total of 50 mins out of this room since half seven. I just want to get to the end of last nights Homeland!!! Aaaarrrrrggggghhhhh...

Joyful I only have 2 Christmas presents bought thus far so am very impressed with your organisational skills. You are right, would hate to try and force him to do something he's not ready for. It's so frustrating sometimes tho plus all the well meaning rubbish advice you receive from family/friends etc...

LittleMachine hope you get another good stretch tonight!

Nightmoves · 03/12/2012 22:33

little just read your post - sorry!! Hope he settles soon.

LittleMachine · 03/12/2012 22:37

Thanks night - he's currently asleep on me in a position that will mean I have to sleep sitting up. He's practically standing up. Wtf? Is he a cat? But it's better than the screaming. Hope your night improves.

Nightmoves · 03/12/2012 23:10

Have given up for the night following DS vomiting and DH freaking out. Homeland will have to wait. Hope you're not too stiff in the morning Little!!

Hope you all got some sleep. Managed to settle DS next to me on the bed so I could lie down (hurray) but then DP moved him over at 12 and woke him up. Angry
He redeemed himself by resettling DS for the rest of the night.

one advantage of DD being ill was that she slept through the night. DH did all of DS's settling (bar the two feeds) which apparently was at least half the night but as I'm also feeling ill the sleep was greatly appreciated :)

Suspiciously so. I rocked DS to sleep in his weird standing up position and actually managed to get him in his cot. Won't last though!
Goodnight. Fingers crossed!

LittleToyMakingMachine · 04/12/2012 23:36

I was right, it didn't last!

wewereherefirst · 05/12/2012 00:40

My DS has been crying for nearly 3 hours solid. I'm frazzled.

Have a poorly pickle this morning :(

Nightmoves · 05/12/2012 08:59

Dreadful night. Only sleeping for 20 mins by himself at start of night and then lost count how many times we awoke during the night. DH says he needs more sleep - who doesn't!! He wants DS in cot in own room but I just don't feel DS is ready and we only started co-sleeping because I ended up sitting up all night resulting in me being even more of a walking zombie. Am sure that would just happen again. I do feel bad for DH tho. Am still off work so feel its my responsibility...

Joyful that's great about DS walking. How did DD get on? I missed it but was she on?

Hope all the other crying and poorly babies are doing better.

LittleToyMakingMachine · 05/12/2012 10:08

Oh no sorry to hear about bad and screamy nights. It's awful when they're screaming and you can't do anything. DS was like that day and night last week.
Managed to get him back in his cot at 12 last night and he did until 3! So 5 and a half hours in his cot in total, then back to sleep in with us. Not a bad night here.

Night, I used to do all the getting up before I went back to work and felt like it was my responsibility. If I have another baby I wouldn't do that again as it impacted on both me and DS too much. I barely took him out and really regret that now. I think you need to be firm about continuing the co-sleeping. After all, your DP won't get much sleep if your baby is screaming in his own room! You're entitled to look after yourself as well.

LittleToyMakingMachine · 05/12/2012 10:09

Tickle, sorry to hear about your poorly one too Sad
