Yoohooo! Over here!

The last thread was filling up so I've started us a sparkling new one.

The original thread was to support those of us with babies fitting the following criteria:

  1. Feeds frequently daytime
  2. Feeds frequently nighttime
  3. Needs to be constantly held
  4. Wont sleep alone
  5. Hates the car seat/pram
  6. Short naps

Some of our babies have grown out of some of those now, but we're still here to support each other through the sleepless nights and noisy car journeys and to offer hugs, chocolate and wine to anyone who's struggling.

So if that list sounds familiar then come and join us as we delight in our active, inquisitive, curious and restless babies or toddlers!

Oh Joyful how horrible, I suspect the 3rd chi thing may start bothering me in a few months as DH is adamant he can't handle the stress/finance of another after DD2 has been so difficult. There is nothing wrong with how you feel and it doesn't reflect on the children you have.

Your poor friend too! Difficult when you know them both, do you have someone to offload on too though? You need some TLC too x.

Titania just ow!!

Hilde enjoy your slobbing out.

DD2 has regressed again refusing to sleep unless attached. I'm home now and already tired.

Monkey2 learnt to squeal and I mean SQUEAL our house sounds like 100 tiny pigs are being tortured. Monkey1 is spending the majority of her time with her hands over her eyes doing this Hmm at me.
On the plus side in home so DH hasn't secretly left me!

You?

You can tell a jobs driving you nuts when you work out a per action price ;)

Quack is a cute word, I love quack! DD1s 1st word was "touch", she wanted parading round the house touching everything, DM is convinced DD2 has said mummy twice and DS reckons she heard it too as I was dating to walk out of the door. As she's 5 months I think they are a little deluded, or perhaps deafened by the squealing!

I don't feel I've got the right to moan really comparatively as everything else (apart from money) is ok at the moment but I'm feeling a little desperate again tonight. She just won't go in the cot, it's been 6 months how is she not used to sleeping in there yet? All I want is a tiny bit of evening to myself, some sleep, the ability to go for a wee without having to leave her to cry, I hate hearing her so upset.

I love her so so much but poor DD1 has a chest infection so needs attention and isn't getting it. I got so wound up I had to put her down and banged my head on the wardrobe a bit to release frustration.

Can't believe I just admitted that. DH has said I'm swearing a lot too, not at anyone more, fucking buggering car just ran out of bastarding petrol) kind of thing Blush. And I can't seem to stop.

I sound awful sorry. I even got into a ruck on here and now there's thread after thread bleating on about it to which i cant respond as it just proves the point so my "escapism" is fucked up too, thanks twatbuckets for that (not you lot).

Softlysoftly · 08/11/2012 00:26

Ok please ignore all of that I was deep in the self pitying terrified throws of "shell never go down" ahem.

Joyful

Oh I'm glad he's asleep and even better of you have someone to hand him to!

Monkey 2 is hitting some serious sleep regression, pick up put down is working at keeping her calmer and getting her laid down but only for 10m stretches grrrrr

Evening all

Bloody car has packed up. Sigh. Spent the morning looking at various 'options' deals ( DH has a bit of a crush on the Ford B Max). Hopefully our one can be fixed - so fed up of things going wrong with it though. DS loved the car showroom. Killed my back holding his hands so he could walk around and around.

Then he refused to have his pm nap so was awake from 11am till 7pm. He did well though, not grizzly or anything. Conked out straight after I put him in his cot, bless him. Hoping for as good a night as last night - not a peep out of him between 8pm and 6.50am. Was beyond bliss...

Hope you are all doing ok and having a lovely weekend.

Yum Jaffa cakes

Painful Joyful, up and down like a whores knickers Grin.

I had a mass weeping session over the phone to DH and a friend, today I braved leaving Monkey2 with MIL and she did stay and took a bit of bottle, no screaming for me massive improvement. DH has said hell try to help more and I started to feel better with a bit of space, less panicky (I can only describe it as panic!).

Tonight I got her settled by 10.30 and she's still asleep Shock oy I now can't drop off Hmm.

Tickle shiny new car though yey!

ticklemyboobsofsteel · 11/11/2012 07:52

Softly I'm sorry things are so tough for you lady. Good that you managed to speak with your DH and get a little space and time for yourself. I hope Monkey2 gave you a decent night.

I know right, shiny new car would be amazing... And it turns out that it would be cheaper for me to insure a new car than the one I've got Confused Thing is, we're debt free at the moment while we save for a house and DH and I have worked really hard to get that way. And the idea of getting into thousands of pounds of debt that isn't mortgage related terrifies me! Ideally want the house sorted out first, but of course it depends on our current car. It's in bits in the garage at the moment courtesy of my brother. Never should have bought the bloody thing, nothing but trouble. Let that be a lesson, ladies - never buy a car to fit around the buggy you've got your heart set on...

On a positive note, my dad let me drive his Ford Kuga yesterday afternoon - I've always been adament that I couldn't drive a car that big, but it was really easy! Parking it will be another matter - but didn't get that far Grin

Hope you all have a lovely restful Sunday.
