hasn't this gone far enough? these threads are being allowed to stand which considering the "policies" of the BNP and the views expressed by "activists" is appalling. yes, free speech is wonderful, but some of these threads can be seen as inciting racial hatred, there are many, many, disablist, homophobic, racist remarks made and implied and they always go the same way. the threads are started to cause a bunfight. the BNP will not get anymore supporters on here, so why be deliberately controversial?

mn is a self-moderated site. this is great and one of the reasons i use it. however, the mners are now moderating and saying that we have had enough. we have complained a LOT about this type of thing - please take note!

The lynching analogy is so ironic I actually can't breathe.

precisely, lenin.

i think it was our new member larrysgal who said it best when she said...'it's just a bloody website for god's sake!'

hardly the deep south.

larrysgal · 12/05/2010 19:28

Exactly. The only people who actually approve of lynching are the BNP.

TheLadyOfTheGreenKirtle · 12/05/2010 19:29

the majority of posters have complained to MNHQ offboard. we clicked on the exclamation mark or whatever it is now and rattled off an email. we recieve an email saying "thank for bringing this to our attention, we've had a word"

nothing is done.

enough's enough. it has been bought back onto the board to try to get a response.

I also don't believe for one minute that dp is the only bnp follower/activist on mn.
Whether that makes her more likely to be a troll or not I don't know.

Aitch;

"why am I here"

I'm here because I get alot of support.

Not through talking to people, because I don't really "talk" iykwim....but I read alot.

callmeDave · 12/05/2010 19:33

I don't want to talk to you personally any more. I have talked to you personally enough in the past and I have seen what you have said to others who talk to you.

The way you talk about mixed race people and disabled people is designed to cause maximum offense and I don't need any more of it from you. I get enough in RL, which I am sure gives you much joy. You never have any backup to your sweeping, judgemental statements. At least in RL I can tell people to fuck off but you offend and then ignore.

I still post about other stuff but I won't go back to anything close to the bone until you have stopped antagonising people for your own entertainment.

I cannot engage with you because you will just come out with your stock responses.

'thats just how I feel'

'its because of my religion'

'I'm sorry if I've offended anyone'

ChickensNeedOpposableThumb · 12/05/2010 19:33

Support for what? Genuine question.

Greensleeves · 12/05/2010 19:34

daftpunk are you deliberately avoiding the question Lenin and I have repeatedly put to you?

lou031205 · 12/05/2010 19:34

Sorry, aitch, probably some dodgy commas in there. What I meant was that the General election has made MN highly charged, and that people are finally saying "enough" about posts that have been made over a long period of time. Not that those posts have been made as a result of the election.

noddyholder · 12/05/2010 19:35

Self indulgent nonsense

scurryfunge · 12/05/2010 19:35

of course she is, that's her m.o.

scoutliam · 12/05/2010 19:35

But is it not because we know she's a bnp follower that people get so riled up?

I've seen lot's of posts which are offensive to minorities on here, they are challenged the poster told they are ignorant twats and either go away, apolagise or ignored.

The fact that she is a bnp supporter is the real reason that she's offensive and I don't believe that banning her is therefor a good thing.

DPs posts are reported

They are deleted at a rate of about 2 a week

That has been the case for ages

A lot of people have just had enough now.

Well, if this poster stays because of the support she gets from just reading, why doesn't she agree to simply not post? Then everybody is happy.

"It is to MNHQ's shame that they have wrung their hands and said, essentially 'I know, terrible stuff, we're doing all we can, soon she'll learn.'"

I couldn't agree more.
