Hello.

It's been pointed out to us a few times now that our Acronyms and abbrevations list needs updating.

So, since you're the ones who really know your AIBUs from your AFAIKs, please tell us what you think should get the chop (if anything) and what needs adding.

TTFN (not that one, pls!)

I have always wanted to know what PESH stands for, but have been to shy to ask....

Indaba · 16/04/2010 16:01

I have asked re PESH & BESH....am dying to know!

BosomForAPillow · 16/04/2010 16:06

Thanks re: UTGSN.
I always read "PESH" as a drunken, slurred "BEST" i.e. We're PESH friends etc.

Probably not that though.

StealthPolarBear · 16/04/2010 16:07

i've never understood the nanny acronym MB (or BM)
I know what it is, just not what it stands for

wastingaway · 16/04/2010 16:19

Seconding (thirding?) TWC and UTGSN.

BitOfFun · 16/04/2010 16:23

We don't need to explain TWC, do we?

VinegarTits · 16/04/2010 16:28

Yes i votes for TWC = Terry Wogans Cords

VinegarTits · 16/04/2010 16:29

and nice cords they are too

MitsubishiWarrioress · 16/04/2010 16:31

Ohhhh... TWC and UTGSN..... fourther here

and a little TWC emoticon. (he'd look so cute with the seasonal additions)

Actually can we have a mildly irritated emoticon as well... sort of angry face but a different colour, I don't really get angry but sometimes want to express mild displeasure.

plimsolls · 16/04/2010 16:32

stealth I wondered that too and came t0 the conclusion it way My Boss or Boss's Mother (depending on who the nanny thinks they work for ) but that's just a guess.

VinegarTits · 16/04/2010 16:36

can i suggest: HWGA - here we go again

and a [rolls eyes] smiley to go with it

MitsubishiWarrioress · 16/04/2010 16:40

And a sticky out tongue emoticon......

FabIsGoingToGetFit · 16/04/2010 17:04

MB - Mum Boss.
BM - Boss Mum
I think

EccentricaGallumbits · 16/04/2010 17:25

= tits

or in my case

Am very much likeing TWC and FTFOAFOAWYGT

StealthPolarBear · 16/04/2010 17:41

ahhhhhhhhhh I thought it was Baby Mother, which sounds like something an American gay couple would have.
And then MB made no sense at all

Littlefish · 16/04/2010 17:51

I thought that BM stood for Birth Mother, but I might be completely wrong.

BertieBotts · 16/04/2010 18:15

A serious one:

RF - Rear facing (car seat or pushchair)
FF - Forward facing (car seat usually) in this context (as it more often means Formula Feeding)

JackBauer · 16/04/2010 18:16

Seconding DILLIGAF

but shouldn't FTFOAFOAWYGT be FTFOAWYGTFTFOA?

BertieBotts · 16/04/2010 18:18

Oh, FF isn't on there at all. So put both meanings on! It's usually obvious from context which is meant.

PacificDogwood · 16/04/2010 18:32

BESH = Barren, evil, .... hag - sorry, cannot remember the 3rd one

PESH = Pregnant, evil ... hag

'Tis a TTC thread, obviously , quote from some newspaper article or other.

Please somebody tell me what on earth is DILLIGAF and FTFOAFOAWYGT??

We must get TWC, surely, pretty please with sugar on top?

BitOfFun · 16/04/2010 18:40

TWC©

juneybean · 16/04/2010 18:41

They thought Shagging with Intent was better than baby dancing?

PacificDogwood · 16/04/2010 18:55

It is less twee...

TerryWogansCock · 16/04/2010 19:17
Beasknees · 16/04/2010 19:18

i never know whether EBF is express breast fed or extended breast feeding and also get a bit about it

I'm up for TWC essential in this day and age.
