We've just done a new code release and there are a few issuettes - we'll work through them.

Do refresh your pages though - that gets rid of most of the problems (though not all).

NoNameNameyChangey · 28/10/2009 23:22

Sorry...another one!

Previously, in threads I am on you could click on a certain post or posters name and it would take you to the thread with that post at the top of the page so you could start reading from there. Now it is taking you to the thread with the post you clicked on at the bottom so you cannot see it (so only the username is showing).

reallywoundup · 28/10/2009 23:26

nooooo! are we still not fixed? i had to dip my toe into RL- it was awful, i had to talk to dh! Please sort it before i have to do it again

MummyTheQueenOfDarkness · 28/10/2009 23:28

how do we remove threads from the threads i am watching ? and i dont like the white area at the top of the page on said threads, its awful

MummyTheQueenOfDarkness · 28/10/2009 23:29

sorry the white area is on the last 15min page, but its still awful !

kid · 28/10/2009 23:32

Don't know if anyone has mentioned that the advanced search is not working.

reallywoundup · 28/10/2009 23:35

where have the blue boxes come from? and has my eyesight got considerably worse since 10 o'clock this morning or has the font and size changed? i can't cope with it any more- i'm off to bed, hopefully it will be sorted by the time i wake up

aWitchForLifeNotJustHalloween · 28/10/2009 23:56

omg. I have had three days on holiday and come back to this. Am Traumatised.

aWitchForLifeNotJustHalloween · 28/10/2009 23:59

btw, all my buttons have moved and Gone Scary (my powers of description have also left me, I am so traumatised...)
The Classic version isn't showing who the last poster is, just the time of the last post and number of messages. Is this intentional to stop us stalking

IControlSandwichMonkey · 29/10/2009 00:07

What the bloody hell is going on? This is England fgs. We don't do this. We don't change. We plod on as we always have. I've about choked on my farking pipe.

Spacing.

Cutting things off with ...

Don't get me started with Threads I'm On

Small text

I am not impressed. If this is a ploy to get rid of classic, you'll be getting rid of me along with it. I may write a strongly worded letter on another forum. Don't make me do it.

JesusChristOtterStar · 29/10/2009 00:16

i heart classic

HelenMumsnet · 29/10/2009 00:53

test

nooka · 29/10/2009 01:02

Ooh, I really don't like this at all. I'm another classic Firefox user. Most of the issues I've noticed have been raised I think - but I also have noticed that last 15mins looks wrong too, and the way that classic looks much more like New, and is therefore much harder to read for me.

Threads I am on is as others have said really quite horrible.

Re the phone stuff, I've never been able to log on with my Blackberry - and that's still true - it says "Request Entity Too Large"

NormaSknockers · 29/10/2009 06:28

Mine's still throwing a hissy fit & just have reams of white page so still having to scroll all the way down before I can see anything

Frrrightattendant · 29/10/2009 06:40

Just been able to read this thread as it refused to load last night!

I am that some of this is possibly deliberate to make it easier to use an Iphone? Tell me I have that wrong.

I can't beliueve there is a list of THINGS that are wrong. It is ALL WRONG!

All of it! Wrong!

It looks like MN new instead of classic. I am on IE btw and have Classic, did you write that down, C L A S S I C

thankyou. Not going to note every issue as nothing is actually right.

tillyfernackerpants · 29/10/2009 06:57

I'm in classic via Firefox - it generally looks wrong, but specifically, spacing is off at top and bottom of posts. In my watch threads, latest posts not shown

ShouldntButcherThemWithRecords · 29/10/2009 07:01

It's still not fixed?

The moon is lying over the advanced search button, which in turn is cutting into the blue menu bar at the top.

Last 15mins/hour don't show anything

Threads I'm on/started has large spaces between the posts

Preview message/p[ost message buttons below the box I'm typing in are misaligned and don't look spherical (iyswim?) This is the same glitch affecting both advanced search and search buttons at the top of the page

Add message/report/contact poster are inside the text box and not in the blue box along with the posters name

Have to say that I would love an iPhone app, but wouldn't like to have to sacrifice MN Classic in order to get it.

Longtalljosie · 29/10/2009 07:11

I've got a random number 3 on the light blue strip above the box, eg:

3
This is page 5 of 5 (This thread has 104 messages.)

I've still got acres of white before each message, so need to scroll down for ages. I think I have firefox,am not sure, Active X rings a bell, I'm always having to click for Java updates, does that mean anything?

(discalimer, am rubbish at IT things)

TrickOrTreatersDragOnYourNoose · 29/10/2009 07:36

Has anyone said why you did this and why you thought it would be a good idea?

mawbroon · 29/10/2009 07:44

I'm using internet explorer, and it's supposed to be MN classic, but it's not.

I don't deal with change very well....

I might have to have a day off MN until this is sorted

CybilAviationAuthority · 29/10/2009 07:45

Oh lordy I've just logged in.

What is a 'new code release' anyhoo?

And what the hell is this Fanatastic Mr Firefox everyone knows about?
