We've just done a new code release and there are a few issuettes - we'll work through them.

Do refresh your pages though - that gets rid of most of the problems (though not all).

CybilAviationAuthority · 29/10/2009 08:01

WartoScreamo · 29/10/2009 08:03

Mine all looks scary! I want to cry!

GetOrfMoiLand · 29/10/2009 08:04

Raaargggh

MN Sober Workplace has gorn. Now it is all pastel coloured and netmumsy.

What am I going to do during conference calls now (normal work mumsnetting time)? I suppose I will now have to start listening to the calls.

Please can we have sober workplace back?

halfcut · 29/10/2009 08:04

Its all gone wrong

GetOrfMoiLand · 29/10/2009 08:09

I am so glad that Cybil asked what Firefox was, Iwas wondering what you were all on about as well.

I opened that link PoisonToadstool and was none the wiser.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 29/10/2009 08:09

no Biscuit yet?

PuppyMonkey · 29/10/2009 08:25

I'm a bit confused - mine looks just the same as it did yesterday. It's absolutely fine. I feel a bit left out.

IMoveTheStarsForNoOne · 29/10/2009 08:26

Not working here - I've had to change to Mumsnet Classic to get rid of the white space at the top of the screen.

This is on both my home and work PC, both using IE8.

CantSleepWontSleep · 29/10/2009 08:29

I don't have all the white space that folk are on about, but I can't tell one thread from another in my 'threads I'm on' page, because the spacing is just all wrong.

I'm on firefox on a mac.

CybilAviationAuthority · 29/10/2009 08:31

Getorf...thank god I thought I was the only dunce here

SpookyMadMummy · 29/10/2009 08:34

Everything is wrong [waaaaaaaah]

I am using IE7 and classic

Saltire · 29/10/2009 08:48

I have switched to Mumsnet classic nad the big white space has gone so I don't need to scroll half way down the page to read anything however, it's a bit squashed up and the font is funny - but it's a while since I've used it like that, so that could be normal

Saltire · 29/10/2009 08:54

Also, I like Mumsnet new (without pages though) but I am not prepared to scroll halfway down a page to read it, so will have to stick to this just now.

theyoungvisiter · 29/10/2009 08:57

everything still wrong for me - I'm on classic and firefox.

Refreshing does nowt.

Boooooooooooooo. Is it early Halloween gremlins?

Littlefish · 29/10/2009 09:06

Good morning Helen. Just a little cheery hello from me because you're obviously in for a hard day!

iwascyteenagewerewolf · 29/10/2009 09:08

Am using MN New and IE7 (spit - am at work), and it looks awful! I'm not usually a hater of change but this is really not nice to look at.

RustyBat · 29/10/2009 09:10

I just started a post saying the Big White Space had just appeared on my iPhone, but before I finished posting I went to another page to check exactly when it appeared & found it had gone.

The 'add message/report/contact' bits being under the blue box only seems to happen when there's a poster with a particularly long name at the top of the page next to the ads - but being Halloween there are rather more long names around than usual.

Maybe working with computers has made me a bit blasé, but my reaction to the glitches is more 'oh they've got their spacing a bit bollixed' rather than 'oh my god, it's the end of the world as we know it...'

(I'm now going to start a thread in Pedants' Corner on the proper spelling of 'bollixed' which my iPhone insists on spelling with an 'i' rather than the 'o' I keep putting in)

MmeGoblindt · 29/10/2009 09:11

Everything is just fine here.

MN New and Internet Explorer

It must be the Alpine air, come over to Switzerland folks, we have lots of chocolate and MN works just dandy.

MmeGoblindt · 29/10/2009 09:13

Stop whining everyone and have some chocolate.

PS
I like it, the font is very clear and easy to read.

ronshar · 29/10/2009 09:19

Right I have been patient enough.
Does Bigtech realise we are powerful enough to be mentioned in PMQT. We will not be messed with.

I still have big white margins.
The add message, contact poster, report a poster text is still sitting in the blue bar above it.

I am not as scared of it as I was last night. So thats good.

PuppyMonkey · 29/10/2009 09:22

Yes, I'm the same as Mme Goblindt in all matters except living in Switzerland.

RustyBat · 29/10/2009 09:26

'The add message, contact poster, report a poster text is still sitting in the blue bar above it.'

Hasn't it always been in the blue bar? I thought the issue was that in some cases (ie with a longer poster's name) it's now underneath the blue bar.

iwascyteenagewerewolf · 29/10/2009 09:28

It just looks a mess, like a cut-and-shut - same as the old version at top and bottom, randomly changed in the actual thread bit. And worst of all, when I click on 'Threads I'm On' it only brings up a maximum of the last four posts no matter how many there have actually been since I last posted.

Please sort it out BigTech [wheedle]
