We've just done a new code release and there are a few issuettes - we'll work through them.

Do refresh your pages though - that gets rid of most of the problems (though not all).

classic on firefox

same as perry wrt the cramping ans white spaces

active convos seem the same but threads i am on has also changed, i can see less of the new posts

BertieBotts · 28/10/2009 18:49

Why the popup thing when you hover over someone's name?

HelenMumsnet · 28/10/2009 18:49

PoisonToadstool: thanks for pointing that out (about the two links in active convos). We'll fix that.

serenity · 28/10/2009 18:50

Did Justine mutter 'or else' at the end of that, Helen? Fair enough...

Spacing is still a problem though, it's far too cramped.

IdrisTheDragon · 28/10/2009 18:50

Classic on Firefox.

Everything too cramped. I liked the symbols. Active doesn't show last poster.

Generally disgruntled

pointyhat · 28/10/2009 18:50

It;s a nightmare trying to read the list of threads. Why are topic titles and posters' names both in blue and underlined? And they are all bloody bullet-pointed.

It is verging on unreadable. Can't there at least be a different colour, or one not underlined?

DottyDotsOfBloodOnTheFloor · 28/10/2009 18:50

Hmm - I'm on IE and Classic Mumsnet and have refreshed a couple of times but it's still not like it was! (you know I don't do change well...!).

The font has gone smaller with smaller spaces between each posting and it says "add message" at the right hand side. ooh and the "preview message" and "post message" signs at the bottom are in purple and I don't think they looked like that before.

It's like playing the tablecloth game where you have to spot what's been taken away.

And although I can't think of any other way it looks different, it feels like it's very different...

JustineMumsnet · 28/10/2009 18:51

Pop up thing is so you can have very long nicknames and not break the site.
ps it all looks great in MN new .

OP posts:
IdrisTheDragon · 28/10/2009 18:51

And suspicious that those of us who like classic are having the choice taken away by stealth...

DottyDotsOfBloodOnTheFloor · 28/10/2009 18:51

ooh and you can't see who's posted last on the Active Convos list.

Ahem. I'll stop now...

BelaLugosiNoir · 28/10/2009 18:51

Fits quite well on safari on Ipod touch, have no idea if it's the new look or not though!

ImSoNotTelling · 28/10/2009 18:52

Is this how classic is supposed to look in forefox now? The font has gone tiny and the "add message report" etc bit is encroaching onto the blue box that sits above it. This isn't how it's supposed to be surely? It's completely different and spaced all wrong. Like being at the cinema and having to sit in the front row and you cant take the film in properly.

Ewe · 28/10/2009 18:52

I have no Mumsnet Classic either, it looks funny.

JustineMumsnet · 28/10/2009 18:53

how's the spacing now?

OP posts:
Northernlurker · 28/10/2009 18:53

Ok well aside from being freaked out by the new font and spacing (ugh) I went in to search and it doesn't seem to be working at all. Just a huge white space and then two headings for keyword and for time - neither of which seem to work! I'm using Internet Explorer and mumsnet classic

MarketingConsultant · 28/10/2009 18:54

What's happened with "Threads I'm Watching"? I can't find the link to stop removing them now.

MarketingConsultant · 28/10/2009 18:54

Sorry - remove them - not stop removing them.

DottyDotsOfBloodOnTheFloor · 28/10/2009 18:54

OK, I think the spacing's better but the font's still a bit smaller? Or it could be my overactive imagination. It still doesn't look quite right..?!

WailingGhoshe · 28/10/2009 18:55

Classic Firefox, and its all wrongggggggggggggg

Its all spaced wrong, and little and and and [sob]

2shoescreepingthroughblood · 28/10/2009 18:55

phew I thought my eyes had gone wrong

ImSoNotTelling · 28/10/2009 18:56

The "add message report contact poster" bit is still encroaching onto the blue box above it. Also the first line of the post is shorter than subsequent lines due to running into the "add message report contact poster" bit.

serenity · 28/10/2009 18:57

Spacing is better thank you

pointyhat · 28/10/2009 18:58

It's all gone to pot

Ewe · 28/10/2009 18:58

I do NOT want a blue box at all. Make it go awayyyyy!!
