We've just done a new code release and there are a few issuettes - we'll work through them.

Do refresh your pages though - that gets rid of most of the problems (though not all).

OP posts:

serenity - I've had your black squares problem before - I think it's something to do with the ads at the bottom of the page not scrolling properly. I've always found that refreshing the page gets rid of them, which is presumably what happens when you post.

I'll try that next time Rusty, thanks

alypaly · 29/10/2009 13:03

scroll,scroll,scroll,scroll...cant be bothered til its corrected...taking too much effort...goin to do ironing lunch

francaghostohollywood · 29/10/2009 13:08

I don't like the look of my new "thread's I'm on" page...

ClaireDeLoon · 29/10/2009 13:17

I just checked and there is no big gap when you click on a thread/active topics etc on the iphone problem solved everyone needs to get an iphone

Bleatblurt · 29/10/2009 13:25

Jesus, what the hell has happened? I COULD read the whole thread to find out but I think I'll just bugger off until this place is fixed. None of my pages start until after the 'Find Mumsnet on Facebook/Twitter' thingy. Too annoying.

JustScreamMumsnet · 29/10/2009 13:30

Erm just wondering if anyone got a picture of Old Classic - ie how it looked before BigTech's fiddling yesterday?

frankie3 · 29/10/2009 13:42

And I can't search on a topic!

ClaireDeLoon · 29/10/2009 13:42

ROFL that's not a good request

VulpusinaWilfsuit · 29/10/2009 13:43

hahahaha. You mean you don't? Bless you in your garden shed Hi-tech warehouse with a donkey BigTech pushing the buttons.

Frrrightattendant · 29/10/2009 13:47

Justine I have got a bookmarked page somewhere, if that's any help...

it's not threads I'm on though, that's the main issue afaik.

let meknow if you want link!

Frrrightattendant · 29/10/2009 13:49

argh it is also in weirdy new format

sorry

someone must have a screenshot, I don't know how to do them...

JustScreamMumsnet · 29/10/2009 13:54

For those with big white space eg butterball:
"None of my pages start until after the 'Find Mumsnet on Facebook/Twitter' thingy."

Can you tell us which browser and whether you're classic or new?
txs

said · 29/10/2009 13:57

I'm new and IE and it's all horible - big white spaces and list of threads looks all wrong.

ClaireDeLoon · 29/10/2009 14:01

I have the big white space and I'm on IE6 and mumsnet new.

Meglet · 29/10/2009 14:02

It still looks wrong. Instead of the picture icons (report, contact poster) I just get the words. It looks messy and with white spaces after each post. The arrows to scroll on to each page (in book style) have gone too.

And it won't let me post anything on my crackberry, I tried a few times and it just went to a 'corrupted' preview message page.

I am on MN classic, book style.

Bleatblurt · 29/10/2009 14:05

I'm on IE something. Don't know the number. I'm using MN New.

Tortington · 29/10/2009 14:08

the search is still shit.

if you search for a keyword - you get the thread - but not the post

JustScreamMumsnet · 29/10/2009 14:10

Yes we know - we're working on search and then we'll move onto white space in IE

francaghostohollywood · 29/10/2009 14:12

So is the Threads I'm on /last 15 mins going to be sorted out or do I have to get used to the new lay out?

Justine, why are you holding a cod in your profile btw, are you telling us something?

Horton · 29/10/2009 14:12

I'm not seeing any new posts on Threads I'm On, just a list of titles which take me to the top of the thread (no use at all).

Mumsnet Classic/Firefox.

Tortington · 29/10/2009 14:14

okie dokie cheers

Emprexia · 29/10/2009 14:21

Justine.. i have the hyuuuge white space.
IE8 - Mumsnet New!

throckenholt · 29/10/2009 14:23

search is working for me now. I like the improved options but don't like the extra click needed to get the keyword search .

Also I hate the way the search form appears a bit at a time not all in one go. I feel frustrated that I am waiting for it to do its fancy graphics (ungrateful bint that I am !).
