Do refresh your pages though - that gets rid of most of the problems (though not all).

Yay - my white space has gone!!!!

I don't get it on IE/New - I'm IE8 (or, more specifically IE 8.0.6001.18828 ) nor on Chrome 3.0.195.27 or Firefox 3.5.3 (I'm on Vista) I got it very briefly on my iPhone this morning (started off with no gap, then the gap appeared when the page loaded fully) It disappeared when I opened a new page (as opposed to refreshing the page I was on)

btw, to find out which version of IE/Firefox you have , click on Help and then 'About...', on Chrome, I click on the little spanner on the toolbar, but I have a fancy theme on there, so it may not be the same for everyone.

hi i also have huge white spaces on both my computers, i'm mn muted (which i think is classic?) and ie (not sure what number) and the other computer is firefox (again dont know which number)

And I agree that everyone needs to get an iPhone. MN works fine on that.

safari seems the fastest and most stable out of them all

oh no this always happens when i disappear from mn i come back and you confuse me by changing this ...... i have no idea what its supposed to look like so don't know if it right....

MmeLindt - I have extra browsers because I'm the main editor for our school learning platform & I like to see how it looks on the other popular browsers.

I like Firefox best, though IE8 is better than 7 was (I use IE8 at work because Firefox has issues with our Exchange email/proxy server settings). I do like Chrome but so far I haven't found a way to make it remember my zoom settings so every time I go on MN I have to zoom it in to get rid of the white space - with IE8 & Firefox it goes back to how I left it for MN, without affecting other sites. Also, weirdly, it doesn't support the Google toolbar, which I use to manange my bookmarks. I think Firefox is less prone to crashing so I use it most of the time - I have a rather nice 'wooden' theme on it.

search is sort of working but instead of showing complete threads ,it seems to be showing each post! i did a search on myself and it has all the different posts that i made on the same thread !
