Actually not being able to see last poster in active convos is a bit awkward, as I've realised that's how I tell if the thread has been updated. I can't click on EVERY thing, and nor can I be arsed to remember how many messages there were... so unless you will have some other way of showing that a thread has been recently updated, we need last poster name back please.

You can still see the time a thread was last posted on to tell if anyone else has chipped in. I prefer it without the name, less stalkerish, but that's just me.

Looks like the a name is underlined if a profile is set up and not, if not.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet - I am on Google Chrome, no idea which version of mumsnet I am using - joined a couple of months ago and never changed anything, so whatever the default is...

Problem for me is that it doesn't register when I have read a thread. Normally unread thread titles are in blue, then change to purple once read. At the moment everything's gone back to being blue and it stays that way no matter if I re-read a thread or not.

I agree with VW. I didn't realise how important it was to me to see the name of the last poster, but it is. I'd like it back please! Otherwise, all looks good to me - clear and easy to read.

I don't like that the add mesage/contact poster is not in the blue bar, it overlaps slightly and looks messy as others ahve said.
And I liked the 'last poster' thing, I can't remember times or no of messages very easily and used it loads, could it be an option?

Also I am on MN classic but my links aren't changing colour after i click on them.

OK, another piece of constructive criticism ie telling you things you already know...

In active convos, am fairly sure the Topic link and thread link were distinct, so you could link straight to the topic IYSWIM. Now the topic title is underlined along with thread title and so you can only go straight to the thread. Not a major issue but since I LIVE in active convos, and sometimes used topic titles to go to more info in a particular area, I used this. It may just be something you haven't tinkered with yet, or something you have deliberately changed. Just wanted to point it out...

yep i do that too - click into the topic from active convos.

Advanced search is STILL Not working.....

As this thread is getting checked... I don't use pages, I just have a continuous page of posts. Every so often I get two big black squares smack bang in the middle of a post (they scroll with the rest of the page) The more posts there are the more it happens - if I could be arsed to count, I'd imagine it happens every set amount of posts. It's annoying because I can't read anything under them!

Whatever you've done to update MN now, hasn't fixed this, because I had it on this thread (disappears when I post for some reason)!

Advanced Search is getting better - you can now see the threads on the results page. Clicking on them just takes you to the Topics page, but it's a start!

Oh and thank you for thinking of us iPhoners (though we're going to get all the blame now, aren't we )

Ok, this is weird - I actually have this page twice - if I scroll right down past the ads at the bottom, there's a small black space and then I get the whole page again. I'm posting this in the second message box, so let's see if it works.

in the mean time you can do a site search on google just put your search term with a space after the site: string. you can search by date and stuff with their advanced search, although i'm guessing searching by poster/forum will be trickier.

still a huge white space at the top of the screen, i have to scroll down for ages to get to the content
