We've just done a new code release and there are a few issuettes - we'll work through them.

Do refresh your pages though - that gets rid of most of the problems (though not all).

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but I'm getting a huge white gap at the top of the 'Last Hour' thread list, and sometimes one between the last post on a thread and the 'Add Message' box at the bottom.

I use IE8 and mumsnet classic (as far as I remember).

ronshar · 29/10/2009 09:31

I mean it is not in the bar nor is it out of the bar. The text is just kinda touching the bottom of the blue bar. Looks like it is a bit wonky and not in the right place!

I didnt ever have a problem with the blue bar before! In fact I didnt have trouble with any of it before!

iwascyteenagewerewolf · 29/10/2009 09:31

There's also randomly a 3 at the bottom left of every last post, no matter how many pages the thread has run to. It's quite confusing!

BloodRedTulips · 29/10/2009 09:39

mines all weird still.

thrads i'm on is unreadable; all jumbled and hard to see what's a threas tirle or a post,
lots of white everywhere,
peoples names are in a variety of fonts, italics, bolds, underlined or all of the former,
lots of writing at the right of the blue bar; distracting and cluttered,
top of the page is very crushed together and squashed looking and the title of the thread on subsequent pages is very big and black and peculiar looking.

i'm on IE7 and classic

MyCatsAScarierBastardThanYours · 29/10/2009 09:42

I have the random 3 trying to make a name for itself by hiding at the bottom of every page.

SHoo!

BirthdayCard · 29/10/2009 09:43

There is just too much white on the page- it's really giving me a headache!

Northernlurker · 29/10/2009 09:43

Poor Helenmumsnet - still testing at 00.53! (Of course one does wonder what 'testing' was done before they released the 'upgrade' - did somebody forget that?)

BloodRedTulips · 29/10/2009 09:44

i have a random 1, not a 3

cocolepew · 29/10/2009 09:44

New, IE. Still a big white box at the top. I keep sitting staring waiting for the page to load when it's already hidden itself under all the ads.

addictedtosuckingblood · 29/10/2009 09:51

i have mumsnet muted, and its all wrong wrong wrong i dont like it

Uriel · 29/10/2009 09:51

I've still got the Add Message Report and Contact poster underneath the blue box. Is that the new style?

I'm on Classic and either IE6 or 7.

Gulp.

ClaireDeLoon · 29/10/2009 09:51

Same as coclepew, on new on IE (and I sit wondering why it hasn't loaded too).

cocolepew · 29/10/2009 09:51

Now it's flashing up in the right place and then falling down again.

You tease.

JustineMumsnet · 29/10/2009 10:01

Thanks to everyone who's listed an issuette - we'll crack onto today with fixing them and once we're done hopefully we'll get to that biscuit emoticon.

OP posts:
BloodRedTulips · 29/10/2009 10:02

have just realised, i'm IE8 actually... forgot we upgraded!

cocolepew · 29/10/2009 10:02

....and cocos logging in problems..

Hollyoaks · 29/10/2009 10:12

Why do the threads you've visited stay blue? It's much easier when theres a colour change.

MN New, IE

DutchOma · 29/10/2009 10:15

Is there no way we can do 'system restore' and have it back the way it was before 6 o'clock yesterday?
I'm using internet explorer7(?) and MN classic

cocolepew · 29/10/2009 10:16

Oh so they are, holly I never realised that. I'm off shopping and I just know it will all be fine when I get back

glares

reallywoundup · 29/10/2009 10:21

still not fixed [incredulous] have you noticed hq, how many people are still using classic- does that tell you something, we cannot cope with change bring back proper mumsnet none of this modern malarky pleeeaaassseeee

JustScreamMumsnet · 29/10/2009 10:31

Relax, breathe. The reason for all this pain is that we've done a big back-end change to fix lots of display errors on IE, to make MN work better on an iphone and to generally make it simpler to fix things.
But because MN is complicated (not many sites offer 4 different versions) it's broken a few things in the process. But they are not intentional changes, and we'll get things back to the way they were. It might just take a few days.

We're starting on fixing search first this morning.

MiniMilk0610 · 29/10/2009 10:32

My main "issuettes" are the huge white spaces at top of page, where threads don't start until adverts have finished - took me a while to work out that Mumsnet hadn't just broken completely!!

& when I go to the threads I'm watching, it doesn't show any posts underneath the title on them - so they all look as if they haven't been active for ages when in fact most of them do have new posts on them

plus the random '3' at the bottom of each page of a thread is quite annoying!!

Internet Explorer, no idea if new or classic but only joined this year & not changed settings or anything so guessing new maybe...?

reallywoundup · 29/10/2009 10:34

for "big back end change"- should we read " arse, its all gone wrong"?

i can't cope with it for now- can you update us on facebook when its been sorted?

VulpusinaWilfsuit · 29/10/2009 10:37

Thanks for improving the site. I am not finding too many problems - Firefox 3.0 but about to upgrade that. I think I was in classic but not sure! Don't like the overlap of 'add message' etc into blue bar, looks messy. Preferred symbols. Last message posting name has disappeared from my active convos. Font appears less squashed now.

VulpusinaWilfsuit · 29/10/2009 10:38

PS some posters' names are underlined in their messages, some not: is that deliberate?
