Agree names with numbers ( except OmicronPersei8, which rocks in it's geekiness), and "mummy" names, but, as it's a website for, well, Mummies, it should be tolerated.

I don't mind anybody's name but would hate to offend & there are so many of us sticking our oars in contributing on here that some might be annoyed or offended if another MNetter chose a similar name to theirs.

back in the day I remember when mumsnet auctioned the cool names that were no longer used by posters perhaps this could be done again the reason why is lost inthe mists of time

Doesn't bother me over much - the date of birth numbers do a bit,you know, littledonna1979 and the like (apologies if there is a littledonna1979 - this was a completely arbitrary dose of spite) but I try to apply the same dictat as I apply to my children when they start narking over minutae - Get Outside And Do Something.
