MrsEricBanaMT · 06/09/2009 15:23

Actually though the media use the forums to bolster an agrgument don't they..

Andrew Marr: 'So Prime Minister, a huge 78% of people on the Vent Your Speen forum think you should, and I quote, 'fuck off to the oil rigs'. This is official. I've had my PA's running their skinny arses off verifying it this morning. How can you ignore such a huge majority of the voting public?... So will you be fucking off soon?'

MrsEricBanaMT · 06/09/2009 15:24

I wish Marr would fuck off

noddyholder · 06/09/2009 15:24

DP I have said leave it and that is the best thing to do Some people will never agree and we are 2 of those. That was controlled because if I had said what i really thought it would have been a lot harsher.I stand by everything I said on that thread it was shocking and a real MN low.

MrsEricBanaMT · 06/09/2009 15:27

DP, are your estrogen and progesterone levels in flux?

daftpunk · 06/09/2009 15:29

you're right MrsE..

and tbh, i think me backing MNHQ 100% was the last thing they needed....ha ha

AitchwonderswhoFruitCrumbleis · 06/09/2009 15:33

interesting that xxxbambooxxx doesn't want the archives messed around with... hers is not a name i recognise, so she is presumably mostly a lurker.

so.

do lurkers have the same rights on MN as posters?

if posters want their posts mass deleted and MNHQ won't comply, does that in fact give lurkers more rights than posters? how can that be?

daftpunk · 06/09/2009 15:34

a funny thing happened on the way back from that thread NH...quite a few posters contacted me off board to ask me if i was ok, they thought the way i was treated was awful...a few suggested i get MNHQ to delete it...i didn't want that, i want the thread to stay..it was what i thought at the time and i'm not ashamed of it, i apologised on the thread....alot of posters came out looking alot worse than me...and as you say, it was a MN low.

xxxxBAMBOOxxxx · 06/09/2009 15:41

I've been posting for about 18months Aitch, I name change regularly - no doubt you'll take issue with that, but I will not be drawn into an argument.

Justine is right - the archives are a valuable MN resource

MrsEricBanaMT · 06/09/2009 15:42

well you agree on that. Halleullia.

noddyholder · 06/09/2009 15:42

My heart bleeds

daftpunk · 06/09/2009 15:46

i doubt you've got one

MrsEricBanaMT · 06/09/2009 15:50

Can I please step in here and ask you both to go to your respective houses.

NH, off to Ravenclaw!

DP, back to Slytherin!

Work it out on the Quidditch pitch

noddyholder · 06/09/2009 15:53

{grin].I think if you read back the posts on the thread you are referring to the heartless person is obvious. Now finally lets leave this.

AitchwonderswhoFruitCrumbleis · 06/09/2009 15:53

says you, bamboo. not me. so if it's a vote then we cancel each other out on that, no? so what about discussing it, there's no problem with that i assume?

and i think it's an interesting point about lurkers, if indeed they do outnumber posters 20 to 1 (and i'd love to see how that's calculated, because a repeat lurkers is quite different to a googler who reads one thread and never returns imo) then i think we're putting on quite a show for them and i for one would liek the ability to edit my posts and delete them if i want to.

i mean, i presume i'm a lurker on moneysavingexpert, in that their threads often come up for things i'm searching and i occasionally click on them. i'd hate to think that someoen would be refused the option of deleting posts just so that i could have that casual click and then move on. seems a bit topsy turvy to me.

daftpunk · 06/09/2009 15:55

sorry MrsE...didn't want you caught in the crossfire...

ps;

i wont ever mention i like you again...i will admire you from afar

MrsEricBanaMT · 06/09/2009 16:02

Hell no, DP. Lets just roll with the punches.

daftpunk · 06/09/2009 16:08

MrsE;

have i ever spoken to you before all this DM thing..?

MrsEricBanaMT · 06/09/2009 16:13

DP, it's MOnkeytrousers, man.

Mrs Eric Bana MT

Sheesh, I try and make it easy for youse guys

RustyBear · 06/09/2009 16:17

MrsE - no, it wasn't that one. And actually I just checked & it was actually almost 4 years ago!

I've been here longer than I thought...

daftpunk · 06/09/2009 16:19

Lolololo...monkeytrousers..!

i've been admiring you for years...and you know it!

i knew you sounded familier..

2shoes · 06/09/2009 22:14

daftpunk you are unbelievable.

Tortington · 06/09/2009 22:43

well shes not forced anyone off mn today, maybe she was a bit bored.

alwayslookingforanswers · 06/09/2009 22:53

DP - you regularly end up looking the worst on threads - because of the way you voice your "Christian" point of view

daftpunk · 06/09/2009 23:11

custardo....i have never forced anyone off MN.

Tortington · 06/09/2009 23:45

not what i hear
