Quick! Fancy some family tickets to Ice Age 3 this Saturday?

Woolworths.co.uk are offering Mumsnetters family tickets (for four people) to a special, red-carpet showing of Ice Age 3 in 3D this Saturday morning (4 July).

The London showing is full but there are still tickets for Aberdeen, Birmingham, Brighton, Cardiff, Castelford, Didsbury, Edinburgh, Hull, Ipswich, Milton Keynes, Nottingham and Sheffield.

If you'd like one, please email your full name, address and preferred cinema to [email protected]. But get your skates on: tickets are limited and will be offered on a strictly first-come, first-served basis.

Is it a freaky experience then? I've never seen 3D

madamy · 02/07/2009 20:47

I've just seen this after returning from a long, hot nursing shift (sob story lol!!) so have emailed in the desperate hope of tickets for Nottingham!!

tiredemma · 02/07/2009 20:48

Is Adam a Mnetter now then??
(he must be mnetting from home- he will never get any work done again, my constant mnetting at work contributed massively to me being first on the list for redundancy- he will regret ever logging into mnet, it wll destroy him)

cathcat · 02/07/2009 21:00

Help I rechecked my email and realised I did not include my full name and address!! Shall I try again?

suwoo · 02/07/2009 21:04

Oh you've made me panic now Lupus, because DS is only 2 and hasn't been to the cinema before. I don't suppose he will keep his glasses on anyway. Is it a U or a PG? Will check.....

PfftTheMagicDragon · 02/07/2009 21:22

lets hope this isn't an elaborate trick

POTC · 02/07/2009 21:25

Will see you in Ipswich Goober and Sherby

Goober - am guessing you've sussed it's me in my lazy typing guise but if not is Pillock

mosschops30 · 02/07/2009 21:28

yay I have some for Cardiff

Hassled · 02/07/2009 21:28

Sorry, but Woolworths? So they still exist then?

mosschops30 · 02/07/2009 21:30

Have just re-launched themselves online only

Disenchanted3 · 02/07/2009 21:31

Why would it be a trick?

Its easy enough to phone your local cinema and check there is an 'ice age premier with woolies' (hang on aren't wollies dead?!) on Sat?

POTC · 02/07/2009 21:31

The online domain was purchased when the company was split up in administration. They've just started using it.

poorbuthappy · 02/07/2009 21:32

Just tried for Cardiff, haven't been online all day (for the 1st time in probably 6 months!!)

clumsymum · 02/07/2009 21:35

Oh Hassled, do keep up

This is a re-incarnation of woolworths.co.uk, the name was bought up by another company.

If you're interested, here is the report from The Times

KingCanuteIAm · 02/07/2009 21:35

So are the cinemas booked just for Wollies and MN or are there other favoured sites getting this treat?

Or Are you all going to be walking into a room full of just Mners looking at you?

Or are your dc going to watch the film whilst their mothers play spot the MNer and try to put faces and names together?

Hassled · 02/07/2009 21:36

Marvellous - I've been missing Woolies. Will have a look at the site.

tiredemma · 02/07/2009 21:40

if there are other Mnetters at the BHAM one, please ignore me, I am working a night shift tomorrow and so will probably be asleep through the film and look like shit.

POTC · 02/07/2009 21:40

I'd go for c King

sherby · 02/07/2009 21:44

LOL I bet nobody dares buy a froot shoot

I shall be the one with two browned and blond little ones, you can all judge me for not using suncream

Disenchanted3 · 02/07/2009 21:46
POTC · 02/07/2009 21:50

pmsl sherby

I shall be the pasty white one with one equally pasty white toddler and one ridiculously tanned child , he got the genes that skipped my generation!

Goober · 02/07/2009 21:56

I knew it was you Pillock.

I will be the one bouncing up and down excited on chair whilst kids cover their faces whilst mumbling "For god's sake, sit down Mum."

MrsMcCluskey · 02/07/2009 22:00

I have emailed for Cardiff - prob too late but worth a try!

POTC · 02/07/2009 22:00

Fairly easy to spot then

I thought you'd have spotted me but have been absent for some time so you may have forgotten me

I am not quite as excited as you, mainly because I know that as soon as ds1's dad sees the stuff they've put on his attention will be lost and the stress of a 2yr old and 5yr old in a cinema will fall on me

Goober · 02/07/2009 22:03

Tee hee! My youngest is 10 so very easy to take out. I don't envy you. I may turn around and shuuuush you then, and show you my cat's arse gob!
