Mumsnet Towers - what do you imagine it to look like?

OliviaMumsnet · 05/06/2009 14:17

We ask because obviously we know the harsh reality but we're looking to reveal all put a pic on our Twitter page. So, we'd love to hear your ideas on what you want to see at Mumsnet Towers.
The Shed?
Justine's untidy desk corner office?
Our Studio60 style countdown clock to the full moon?
MNHQ's feral children creche?
TIA as ever

Me too.Creepy tall skinny scooby doo castle with a big fire.

DentArthurDent · 05/06/2009 16:57

MNHQ in disguise

JustineMumsnet · 05/06/2009 17:02

NationalFlight that's uncanny.

Niecie · 05/06/2009 17:05

Or this

Not sure which one of you is Rapunzel but that is Tech climbing up on his daily commute to the office.

I definitely think it has to be Gothic though with lots of the obligatory swirly mist.

NationalFlight · 05/06/2009 17:05

Sorry Justine You did ask...

NationalFlight · 05/06/2009 17:11

Here you are

This more like it?

NationalFlight · 05/06/2009 17:13

Naw this is you lot!!!

ABetaDad · 05/06/2009 17:14

NationalFlight - absolutely brilliant!

Swedes -

SameBoatAsYou · 05/06/2009 17:14

I see Justine in the kitchen juggling a home prepared bolgenese, a child and her laptop which sits on the breakfast bar.....

The other MNHQ bods (sorry MNHQ bods) are all sat around the corner sofa thing which is deep and squidy (with a very soft and fluffy ivory carpet) drinking tea and chatting about current MN hot topics ignoring the steam coming out of Justine's ears.

Tech is in his shed (which is falling into disrepair) at the bottom of the garden.

Slubber - LOL I particularly like the Ferrero Rocher bit.

Yurtgirl · 05/06/2009 17:27

With towers obviously

I bet its like the Spectre HQ in the Bond films.

Which one of them has the bald head, enigmatic smile and the white Persian cat though?

girlandboy · 05/06/2009 17:41

Definitely like Malory Towers.

A proper picture like I remember it!

ingles2 · 05/06/2009 17:50

you're based here aren't you???????

MadHairDay · 05/06/2009 17:59

I always picture it as a kind of gothic castle, like this

brokenspacebar · 05/06/2009 18:14

I always think it is a cross between a lighthouse, with beach hut style interior and lots of kath kidston/emma bridgewater and an air traffic control tower all technical, with lots of buttons to press... telephones ringing, people rushing around.

MrsMattie · 05/06/2009 18:51

I hope (for your sakes) that it's a swanky office somewhere in central London, with a fabulous rooftop terrace to hold meetings on and a fridge stocked with ice cold bubbly for those moments when trolls invade and you need relief. Some semi clothed male lackeys swanning around would be nice too, no?

Sadly, I have worked for several magazines where we referred to our offices publicly as 'X Towers'....and they were grotty little back offices wihere you were lucky if you got a polystyrene cup of coffee and a bun.

MrsMattie · 05/06/2009 18:53

Justine definitely power dresses, too. Don't you?
I reckon you sit in front of your PC (or Mac, if you are truly the Goddess we all think you are) in super high heels and Prada suits, scoffing at 'school run dress' threads.

JustineMumsnet · 05/06/2009 18:58

You got the Mac bit right .

MrsMattie · 05/06/2009 19:01

Ok, then you are a Goddess

Do you have one of those Mum's organisers?

Every member of MN staff should.

NationalFlight · 05/06/2009 19:05

Gosh please not those silver MDF letters on the wall though.

You could have a set of 'OTW' in 30cm sans

Swedes · 05/06/2009 19:06

Justine - Do you have Smythson stationery? Or is it too Tory?

Swedes · 05/06/2009 19:10

Oh I like the idea of those horrible big silver letters leaning on the mantel piece. They would have to spell AIBU, wouldn't they? You could buy them from ReeallllyLindaBarking.co.uk although Wilkinson probably do them now.
