I imagine it to look a bit like the penthouse flat on The Apprentice but an office version all sleek lines and minimialist.

I always imagine MN Towers in RL looks a lot like a minicab office under the railway arches near where I live.

wmmc - I know about teeth whitening, but I hadn't realised eyebrow whitening was quite so popular.

It's like mission control at Houston. There is a giant screen with active convos scrolling away. Each mnhq minion is seated on a gigantic lazy-boy lounger and has a plethora of smaller screens attached to their chair for their personal flicking through of threads.

Underneath the giant screen is a scrolling ticker with the names of all the posters on line. Posters who post more than 500 posts per month are in yellow. Everyone else is blue. If you are a minion on duty and you get more than 50 yellow posters on line simultaneously then a small door opens in the barker lounger and a Ferrero Rocher comes out on a little rising table.

All the minions have to wear blue scrubs with a white tabard over the top. Once a day Justine or Carrie come in (they wear normal clothes) and go through numbers of newbies, flouncers and kick offs (like a doctors round). If there are more flouncers than newbies on a minions watch then your barker lounger is removed for one day and you have to sit on a primary school chair with your arse hanging over the sides.

There is a plastic spider plant in the corner.

I imagine the office is in a converted victorian school, one room, painted white, high windows and cheap blue industrial carpet circa 1985. Sorry about the carpet bit.

I think you've got a massive whiteboard, tracking everyone's name changes. It's manned on a rota basis, and names are moved around, a bit like they did during the war with model ships/planes.

Really sorry, but since you asked, my mental image has just revealed itself as somewhat bizarre. Your office is in a building not unlike the tower of London, Gerry is sitting in it alone on the ground floor with a knackered old CRT in front of her, half a can of Fosters on her left and her eyes half shut (radio 2 in the background)

She has curly auburn hair, a rather slouchy pink cardigan and a Very Nice Handbag. She is rather attractive, despite being almost asleep.

It is 2am, someone has just asked her to delete seventy three messages in random threads.

She is ringing Justine but Justine is telling her to piss off as she is getting some.

Olivia is in Acapulco for the weekend and doesn't care.

Helen and Carrie are simultaneously having a heart to heart regarding Gerry's handbag addiction and a Dyson rep who fancies Justine (despite Dysons getting regularly trashed on here) in a downtown cafe in Harlesden.

Don't ask me why - perhaps I have ishoos with authority.

And this ensures that the children never interfer with the drinking gin important work that needs to be done.
