Fancy trying out a virtual personal trainer? (NB You need to be able to get to Covent Garden, London without children...)

EA Sports are looking for 30 Mumsnetters to come along to a special event being held in Covent Garden on Wednesday May 13th between 11am and 4pm.

The event consists of:

~ A free nutritional lunch (always a priority!)

~ A chance to meet celebrity sportsman Austin Healey and nutritionist Nigel Denby plus an unconfirmed celebrity mum

~ A chance to win a Nintendo Wii and an advanced copy of the EA Sports Active game (the one that's like a virtual personal trainer)

Everyone who attends will receive a fitness bag with goodies and a chance to be among the first to play the game. They'll also be given the chance to sign up for a 30 day trial of the game. All those who sign up to the 30 day trial will be given a free copy of the game to test.

Travelling expenses up to £10 will be paid, but unfortunately they can't accommodate children on the day (something to do with it being held at the PR company's offices so health and safety issues). Dress is casual - you can come in full fitness gear, but you can also play the game in office clothes/ jeans etc.

You can spend as long or as little time as you like but they recommend that you have at least an hour or two free.
If you're interested, please sign up here

Oh god, my chin in photos...I'm there with you, Solo! We could always claim they'd airbrushed the extra flesh into the shots, to make Austin look less flabby next to our perfectly toned bodies!

SOLOisMeredithGrey · 18/05/2009 23:41

What a fab idea! do you think it's believable?

SOLOisMeredithGrey · 18/05/2009 23:42

I thought your hair looked great anyway MMH.

SOLOisMeredithGrey · 18/05/2009 23:44

I want to see the ad!!!!! which channel is it on?

MrsMerryHenry · 18/05/2009 23:45

God yes. My DH is a graphic designer, I'll get him to say it's all a fix and that Austin's as flabby as they come.

Thanks re hair - looks like a shrub today, though!

Nighty night.

SOLOisMeredithGrey · 19/05/2009 00:01

Night honey!

NeedaNewName · 19/05/2009 10:33

Saw it on ITV, I'm sure it'll be on more often soon

I've just looked at the pictures from the day.
I sooooooo wish I had a Wii so that I could lose that excess weight that I have. And yes, the double chin really is there

futurity · 19/05/2009 14:31

great pictures....everyone looks fab in it!

foofi · 19/05/2009 17:02

I'm not on any pictures, but could be because every time the photographer pointed his camera in my direction I gave him a hard ('Don't take my picture!') stare

NeedaNewName · 19/05/2009 20:06

I'm on the pictures and I really need a Wii!!!!

Rubyrubyruby...don't worry - I remember you!

Mars - I seem to always have my hand across your face in the pics...how odd!

SOLOisMeredithGrey · 19/05/2009 23:02

I remember you too Ruby. Everytime I see/think of your name, I sing it 'Rubyrubyrubyruby! ahahahahahaaaaaa'

I could really get into that game...I wonder if they'll lend me one!

MarsLady · 20/05/2009 12:53

I know MrsMerry... I think it's jealousy personally!

Humph!

futurity · 20/05/2009 14:49

Gasp! Forget the Wii, solo, how could you not have mentioned your date until now?

here's that emoticon you were after, ruby!

SOLOisMeredithGrey · 20/05/2009 22:49

Lol@ emoticon! Yes ladies, I have a date, although...we haven't yet set the date because I have to sort out a bay sitter and he was going to phone tonight and hasn't! but every days delay is an extra days dieting!

My hair has decided to go curly again and I have to wonder why it couldn't do it before I had the lot cut off(I love my curls and they always disappear after having babies), so now I'm going to have to deal with it severely

I want a Wii...I want a Wii...it could help me so much. I have ME and have problems joining a gym as I can never tell when I wont be able to use it(and I can't afford it)so that 'game' would allow me to do what I can, when I can...

futurity · 27/05/2009 10:49

wonder when the game will arrive..could do with it today what with the weather being so yukky!
